the humungus fly has work with our club this year better than any other fly, its a wonderful fly to use and i cant wait until the trout are chasing on lures again!
We call that a Woolly Bugger on this side of the ocean! :-) Thanks for this video Lindsay. I usually tie mine with bead head or cone head. I like the bead chain eyes. Black, brown and olive are good colours here, especially in the lakes.
This one needs a cape. Super Shuggie strikes again. The extra glister at the head balances and is stimulated by the action imparted by the chain bead eyes.
Sometimes I see patterns that I don't think I will use, but you never know and I can support your channel anyway. This is interesting and as I am watching it I am thinking stainless hooks fishing for Pacific Pink Salmon...so called because pink is the magic colour. Lindsay I think one of the most valuable things I have learned here, is building the rear lump up to keep the tail from wrapping around the hook bend, thank you for that! I always write my comments as I watch videos, I am going to tie some of these for a friend on the west coast. As usual Lindsay, thank you for caring enough to share! BTW is there a Fly Pattern that represents your country?
Kerry, many thanks for taking the time to not only watch but leave a great comprehensive comment. It’s much appreciated. That trick with the bump cuts down a lot of frustration while fishing. A fly that represents Scotland, that will need some considerable thought. 😉
@@lindsayiflyfish we actually have official Provincial flies on a set of stamps. I bought a bunch if I can find them I will send you a set. I got a Norwegian pattern from Barry, I forgot I was asking a displaced Scotsman LOL. I was only in Scotland for three weeks but I loved it there, do you miss it?
Hi Lindsay, you should rename that the “Mustofulous” in other words, “ The most awful looking fly I’ve ever seen “ lol😂 but if it’s killing fish who am I to cast aspersions pun intentional, if I can gather the ingredients I’ll give it a go, thanks again for another great video and a giggle. Jimf

Yes, I think the woolly bugger is where the idea has its roots.

Thanks for watching and all the support.
Hello Mr Simpson, looks a lot like a "Magnus" but with a longer tail wich we use in Funen to cath Seatrout .Nice video again.
Cool, thanks I have not done any Seatrout fishing but if the pattern help all the better.
How different was this one from the one Tom was fishing from the boat?
He was using a more traditional white tailed and black tailed respectively.
