Ohh mate you’ve definitely earned a subscription off me!, I’ve owned both these tools now for well over 18m and you’ve just showed me how to re-orientate the hammer!😅👍🏻 thanks buddy. I’ve always grabbed the rotary as it “Was” much more handy being able to angle the chisel for scraping the walls etc.. what a ….. thanks again mate! 🙏🏻
Is it worth getting the 5.0 a batteries for the demolition chipper hammer ?(is it worth the money for extra run Time ) And also is there anything else that compares to this power wise etc ?(seen dewalt make one ) I need hammer only and cordless as I have a bad back and struggle with a generator so am looking at cordless any help would be be appreciated
From 4Ah to 5Ah you're basically getting a 20-25% increase in runtime depending on how you use the tool. The question of value can only be answered by you. Whats your time worth? Is the time saving greater than the cost of the purchase? I think if you're looking to expend further into the XGT platform in the future, especially in some of their heavier hitting tools than its a worthwole upgrade
Xgt 80v recip be on the way and circular saw and Angle grinders then and the rest and 80volt impact wrenches lol be pure beasts wont need corded no more
An 80v 1 1/2 inch drive impact wrench might actually be a good idea if it had 4000+ ft lb.They can make it like the new Ingersoll rand a d-handle with one battery one each side.
I’ve only used them with 4ah, You get about 3sqm of connie up @ 3-5” thick .. if you’re using it to lower MH, or removing brickwork for air bricks/windows/doors etc it will last around 4hrs of breaking, honestly though mate from my experience as soon as battery’s dead that’s enough breaking out for one day😅👍🏻 hope this give you a little idea of run time buddy tc
I’d say my makita tools hold up the best out of all my tools even while abusing them. I once had a customer see my tools and complain his makita battery was junk and stopped working. I asked how old his battery was and he said it was 12 years old when it quit.
@@JohnSmith-qj7hd a ok i though you might be familiar with it/tool so a asked as i ran into a snag on my DIY project upgrade and considering it to binde it so i can move forward with the 400A service and planel ect.
i have to say that I've used makita tools before and their demo hammers are wack. Their other tools do the job but IDK man, hammers with lower impact forces still do a better job. Ill stick with bosch and when i cant afford it....no name chinese brands. You'd be surprised the stuff you could find if you look for specs before brand.
@@jimsongworld8224 nope. Doesn't beat Bosch, not even close. Some undranded Chinese tools even fare better. Why do you think they're the most copied brand? It's easiest to approximate the performance for cheap. Makita demolition hammers feel nice in the hand but that's about it.

haha. Glad to help!!
Thanks for sharing Tim, I was gunna get the Milwaukee sds max but now you got me thinking that might be worth investing in the Makita 80v instead
Beastly!
😍 Makita 80V
Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
a great tool, it's a pity that these are not sold in Russia).
Will makita be bringing out a planer in the xgt range?
Its not in the 18 or so tools being released this week but no doubt it's coming soon.
Tim are you going to be doing a review on the Milwaukee rear handle saw at some point
Hopefully
It would convince more people to buy it and it is a great tool

Would this end any good for 4 to 6 inch core holes
Its rated for up to 160mm for core drilling which is a touch larger than 6"
how much and how to order
Do you guys ship to NZ?
We dont but we can. Email order@sydneytools.com.au for a quote
Hm its cost
How much runtime do you get outta that?

Faster than corded one? Im sure this tool won`t last long.
Thats the best part about Makita, their tools run forever

Makita hammer drills are best in business

The old Bosch of 10 years ago maybe but today Bosch makes a pretty good SDS plus but other than that nah
