Years in the demo business, The saw we would have used in the many hospitals, or military facilities, also in Robinson decking high rises, maybe for completing corners after wall sawing….also zoos and seaworld or people nearby areas, otherwise using electric or hydraulic flat-saws for production would be the way to go…but they do have their specialty uses..Great to see these getting more powerful.

I'm leaning on the 40 volt platform. I am thinking that I will mostly likely adopt it.

Also Makita's battery technology really needed an upgrade, So I think the 40 volt is a very good move for Makita. There is an 8amp 40volt battery in Japan currently available. Hopefully are market will see that battery with in a years or so.

I absolutely love my Makita XGT tools. The only draw back is that they come out in Japan 🇯🇵 and New Zealand 🇳🇿 long before us 🇺🇸 unfortunately. I don’t see the reason for that. @sv-et7gq 2 года назад +2

Milwaukee mx fuel is a 80v max and 72v nominal system with 25 amp discharge so there average watts would be about 1800 watts. They got a 3 ah 216 wh battery pack with 20 18650 cells and a 6 ah 432 wh pack with 40 18650 cells. As for makita there xgt batters are 40v max and 36v nominal I don't know what there discharge amps are though they have a 2 ah 72wh with 10 18650 cells a 2.5 ah 90wh with 10 18650 cells a 4 ah 144wh with 10 21700 cells and a 5 ah 180wh with 20 18560 cells there upcoming battery pack will be a 8 ah 288wh I'm presuming it will have 20 21700 cells. Note that the 18650 cell usually have a higher amp discharge witch will deliver more power and the 21700 usually don't output as much but can hold more energy = high ah. So roughly the makita xgt 2x = milwaukee mx fuel. Also note that the upcoming makita 8ah battery when using two of them = 80v should give you more run time then the milwaukee mx fuel 6 ah.

Makita is the only company that can compete pound for pound with Milwaukee and Milwaukee cornered Makita forcing them to come out swinging. If you want to see what’s next for power tools you need to support Makita. Force Milwaukee to one up Makita and show Makita that if they provide a quality tool we will invest in their product. It’s yin and yang. The US market is lacking in Makita tools. They’re all made in China today. All of them. Makita probably makes more tools in the US than Milwaukee does. I get if you want to be a patriot but just know only a select few are living the Milwaukee power tools dream minus their reps.

Actually, Makita builds tools all over the world. They also do build in China, yes, but lot's of their tools are made in Japan, Great Britain, Rumania, Brazil, the USA, some of them are even made in Germany. Makita is a great company and one of the last ones standing, fighting all on their own, not as part of some corporate conglomerate. It's remarkable how they made that happen.

@@dominicvanlievenoogen6407 your right 60-70cc saws can’t compare, that’s why every professional timber faller uses battery saws.
