Arumba The subjugation war was an offensive launched by the duke of Ostrogothia. When he lost his title during the Sjaellander war he was still at war with Westgothia and thus when he won he became the new holder of the duchy and thus could no longer be a vassal of Sjaelland (since they were now of the same rank), thus he became independent.
If it hasn't allready happened, all norse/germanic gets shipbuilding once the viking age starts, about 40-50ish years after start. that is every Coastal province get +1 to shipbuilding Tech, and the building.
Easy way to rush tech 1, take the scholarship focus. Guaranteed enough points for shipbuilding through the event. Only problem as Gotland is gaining the prestige necessary to build the shipyards.
I once had a game in which, I trained each of my sons in a certain category, gave them all of my artefacts, and had the best council I ever could have, and got heaps of stuff. It's a great strategy
The guy he originally swore fealty to had his duchy title taken by Sjaelland in the original subjugation war but won a new duchy title in the westrogothia subjugation war and became independent
For the money calculation: A tribe gives 0.5 money as base, and market villages give 0.5 per level. You then get 50% extra per empty holding. So with your basic tribe and a lvl 1 market village, you'd get 1 as base, then it would add 200% on top because of the 4 empty holdings, for a total of 3. So 1.5 gold per year per market level. Gold and prestige are ridiculously easy to get once you start raiding of course. The market village in the tribe is mostly important because a level 2 tribal market village turns into a castle town once you convert to feudalism and start building castles. And a level 4 market village turns into a lvl 2 castle town. (In general it seems advantageous to upgrade tribal buildings to either level 2 or 4 since most of them upgrade into castle counterparts at those levels) Also, as a sidenote, I think you can just disband those event generated troops (the ones you get for building legend, zealotry, raiding) without any issues. At least that's what I do.
@@tristanridley1601 was going to say something like that. I started already thrice as gotland and while challenging in many ways,it is far from boring. Also i became king of sweden in like 45 years and reformed the german faith. Then i started raiding..there is just a lot to do
Arumba Income is the buildings in your holding, modified by the multiplier, so your Holding gives you ,50 income, the market ,50 for a total of 1 gold, and that times 200% for empty holdings minus the % for looted province (in your case 0) and that is 3 gold total income of the province and then you get the multiplier like stewardship, or events.
The guy that was your liege first was subjugated by Sjaelland. He and you were therefore both vassals of Sjaelland, who also took the title from your former liege. He was still in his own subjugation war against Westrogothia though, which he won. Therefore your first liege subjugated Westrogothia and took that title. He became independent from Sjaelland because same rank titles can't be underneath you. But you still were a vassal of Sjaelland because you were a vassal of Ostrogothia, which is held by the king of Sjaelland.
Yes, you can play as Feudal or Republic when you are tribal, you need the respective building (Market or Keep) and then be a reformed faith and independent to change your goverment type.
Let me just point out that the 7 deadly sins are christianity. To be a sinner in Norse religion, you need to NOT war against others (sort of). Might not be that way in ck2, but that's what it is irl!

But he is doing fine on prestige so :)

Took you a bit of a long time establishing who your liege was ... But also the whole subjugation thing was weird to start with.

"We got your son! Check it out!"
-A ransom note delivered to King Oddr of West Ostrogothia. King Oddr was not particularly inspired by it.
Great series again! More achievements series would be great. Complete all the achievements for ck2. They could be a great guide for the rest of us!

Prepare to be bored until you get boats.

Great point. Forgot about the pagan king ambition subjugation bit.

Funny, I actually just started a "got land" playthrough last week...

can you play as a republic at Gotland?
Yes you just need to get a level 5 market and then you can become a republic the same way you can go feudal; with a decision.
yes you can change to republic if you have a certain building upgrade (I forgot which one it was)

Bannerlord when
Maybe he is confused because he clicks on each screen for like 0.004 seconds. Arumba has put too many hours into this game.
Just remember to not form an empire since you have to hold an Indian kingdom as your PRIMARY title.
I'm going to make a playthough watch this space !
