I particularly liked the point that you made about not having rigidly to adopt the chamber position at the end of every three strokes. That was a reassuring thing to hear and made such regimentation a thing of the past, after a drill has been learned. Fluidity instead of rigidity...very nice.
THESE DRILLS ARE JUST BEAUTIFUL TO WATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GREAT VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very clear sir!!!!
Great video, excellent instruction and information, thank you for sharing your knowledge
learnt this and now my shoulders are burning.....i em self taught learning stuff from dan inosantos old book sept didnt have this flow.. i can mix it up with deflecting and check countering and abenico
Thanks Sifu, I have not done this variation before, another great drill!
Very nice.. Easy to learn with your explanation
I like it sir your moving two stick.
thanks for sharing this technique
Nice. Thx for the input, thoroughly explained - appreciate the effort🙏
BTW: That is a magnificent dojo right there👍
Quick question about chamber height. Does it change for different drills? I see some are right under the arm pit and this great lesson at the hip. If this could be cleared up please. Awesome video as always.
Glen Jones it shouldn’t change. The sticks are just training tools for the blade. If the chamber is too high you risk filleting your triceps or clipping your elbow. Plus you then don’t get the protection of the diagonal strikes.
@@kalicenter makes a lot of sense. Thanks.
Hey, Kali Centre...I wish I could get whistling units to attach to the unheld end of my sticks - that would be a great sound, while training, and it'd be fun, too, of course. They'd have to be pretty tough little units (sticks impact), but it could be done, I think. They would look great if it had "Kali Centre" on the little whistle units, too! :) It would also put burglars off staying in our homes!!!
Theo Retickle Hahaa! 😂 that would be cool. Keep me posted if you find anything 👍🏻⚔️
@@kalicenter I will, good fellow! All revenue goes to The Kali Centre, of course! 😁
Practising everyday. Thanks man!
Pralay 👍🏻⚔️💪🏻
@@kalicenter thanks much for replying means a lot. Practising sinawali though facing less power on the left hand. Any suggestion please?
Pralay train more and keep training. Put focus into the left hand. If need, isolate the left hand with previous single stick drills.
@@kalicenter that's great. Thanks for the suggestions. I will update.
Any tips on what happens when you hit your wrist during a fluid strike
Interesting twist. I've done Standard 6 from a number of instructors and all have the uppercut strike as staying at the low line (knee level...aka "Earth") and that was my understanding as to why it is called "Standard" 6 because you have a Heaven-Earth-Heaven strike for each side but the Earth is still an uppercut motion just on the low line not mid to hi line as you did? Not saying what your doing is wrong by any means I've just not seen it done that way? But like many things and ESPECIALLY in the Martial Arts there are often more than 1 path and more than one "truth" ;)
The 2nd and 5th strikes can be applied to cover the knee, elbow or high line. We don’t use a horizontal in this pattern here like many do. We have found the diagonal protects low to high whether on offense or counter. 👍🏻⚔️
@@kalicenter Yes, that makes sense. I don't do it as a horizontal either but rather a downward diagonal to the knee as opposed to an upward diagonal but I realize all are valid. Just hadn't seen your way but that's why I never quit learning :)
Just a question, wasn't there a more circular version of this weaving, without using broken strikes?
Nicky Book yes
@Richwell Chan Sim Well okay, was just interested to see if both were correct ways to do the drill
Nicky Book yes, each variation has a slightly different tactical application.
what was that one drill you showed that can be used for multiple attackers?
More advance technical training please?

I think it's called the heaven 6 because I hit myself in the head and briefly saw heaven
