Once Grave Digger came on the scene with the total the truck every weekend mentality Monster trucks died to me. Team Bigfoot had accidents but they never set out to intentionally damage the trucks. Unlike Grave Digger! Big Foot will always be KING OF THE MONSTER TRUCKS!
I was never a fan of tearing up a truck and I still feel that way til this very day. Always have been a huge fan of Bigfoot and always will. Your exactly right sometimes things happen, but it’s not like they go out and tear up stuff on purpose. Bob Chandler and everyone at Bigfoot I 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 to you all for the way you all are running Bigfoot 4x4x4.
I don't blame Grave Digger for the direction the sport has taken so much as I do FELD motorsports and Monster Jam as a whole. Monster Jam was promoter that started the whole destroy the truck to please the audience kind of thing. Back in the 80s and 90s the racing was legit between these massive machines, USHRA, TNT, PENDA put on some of the best Monster Truck events. Monster Jam has just made it feel cheap, Some I forget exactly who, either Bob Chandler or Everett Jasmier once referred to the current state of Monster Truck racing as wrestling on wheels, which is all to accurate unfortunately. It's not about winning race's anymore, its just about the spectacle and the sport has suffered as a whole for it.
This is true. The idea of freestyle is always fun, as can be the carnage, but it ends up a bit NASCAR like where everyone is always waiting for "the big one". I wish they would race them like they did in the PENDA series more though. Good ol' straight line tree racing.
Happy Birthday to the man Mr. Bob Chandler who has created a industry that I feel in love with as a kid back in the 80’s. Happy Birthday there sir and thank you for everything you have done for this industry and Bigfoot!
Whether you’re a Ford, Chevy, Dodge guy, if you grew up in the 80s, this is the King of trucks. It got us all started with the love of our trucks no matter the brand.
I love Bigfoot. This goes back to the days that the trucks resembled trucks. I know what we see now is a lot safer for the drivers and that’s the most important part of any sport. But the early days of monster trucks are fun to remember. Thanks to Bob Chandler for building the first one. Look what became of it😃😃😃😃
Being at this show as a young kid was one of the greatest nights ever! I was so excited to talk to the Andy Brass but didn’t know what to say. These videos are great memories.
The crazy thing is I firmly believe that Bigfoot 4 as it was the night before with its fuel injected engine and nitrogen shock/leaf spring hybrid setup could take Bigfoot 8, that old beast was bad fast even for a truck built in 1984! Bigfoot 4 was the other race truck in their stable in 1989/1990 when you think about it and unlike Bigfoot 7, was modified to be fast enough to race in 1990. Other than USA-1 I don't know of many other trucks with the pure speed to take on Bigfoot 8. Equalizer was fast enough, but I consider that a stage 3 truck like Bigfoot 8.
I am certain bigfoot was a big part of why ford is number 1. And is why ford trucks were made to look great jacked up. Gmc looks great but only because they look like older ford's
1988, bob chandler, and dennis anderson sat and held our twins while we talked to them after a show in edmonton alberta canada, and then denis let me sit in his first built Grave Digger holding my then 3 year old daughter who become a total denis anderson grave digger fan. Best night at a monster truck show ever

I miss Andy Brass, Jim Cramer, Fred Shaffer etc...
Dennis never intentionally crashed the truck he just went for it and what happened happened not his fault everything went to hell

My favorite!
If I had this event on dvd I’d would watch it all the time! Thanks for posting!
It should be on dvd. Should have features on the trucks and drivers of that weekend
I'd watch it everyday and scream MURICA!!!! while I watched🤣🤣🤣🤣

Bigfoot will always be a true monster truck
Bigfoot 8 and Andy Brass were on a rail all night! Truck was awesome! The future was definitely looking bright for the industry.

This is awesome
In this same year I WAS BORN I ALREADY IS A BIG FAN OF BIG FOOT HELLLL YES
Looking at my driveway like yeah bigfoot could park right there 🤙🏻
That ole Ranger kept up with #8 pretty well
And it’s getting rebuilt !!
David Morris in Bigfoot 3!
That ranger is bad ass.
Many #7 was really hot, it really was a pinnicale stage #2 truck for straight line speed.
With #7 and #8 going at eachother one can see the huge leap from 7 to full tube long suspension trucks

Hey, did I hear Army say that David Morris was driving a Bigfoot truck?
David morris was in # 3
7:15bigfoot 7 had a bad hop but still has no chance against 8
