Don't get me wrong, I love all of the Bigfoot ''retrofoots'' that the Bigfoot crew is doing these days, but I'd love to see them do a retro body of this one as well as an omage not only to Bigfoot #8 and all its success, but also to Bigfoot's #4, 6 and 7 as the last of the stage 2 trucks!
Bigfoot 8 was awesome! It's the truck that monster trucks are currently based off. Sure there was Equalizer and Taurus had there race truck out, but the totally tube frame and nitrogen gas shocks are what the majority of the trucks run. Dang, Taurus had some major issues and talk about a crowd of people at the end.
It's amazing how fast this motorsport progressed. Also how Bob Chandler pushed the envelope. He started tube chassis race trucks and if you were still on straight rail frame and leaf springs your were done before the competition started.
Kinda remember this show I see ecology eliminater of to the side wit battle damage.. I remember Reese tryn to kick front window out to try race again. ??!!..some one shoud post this entire show..PLEASE..!!
Bigfoot 8 and Andy Brass...unbeatable, unless somethin on truck breaks. Always sad to see somethin on truck break. Also, that’s possibly my favorite Bigfoot of all time, maybe tied with the Hot Wheels one
Having Bigfoot 8 among a field full of the old school spring trucks with the military axles is like using a game genie I can see why Bigfoot 8 had that temporary ban for everyone else to get caught up technology wise The Bigfoot team during this time was playing chess while everybody else is playing checkers
The problem with today's Monster Trucking is that it is way to sisifed . It needs to go back " Old School " like in this video where they used to crush cars and tear up Rv's and box trucks . Now days the only cars you see on track are the turning post cars !
uh bigfoot 8 changed all of that. this was how it all started with the space age frames and lightweight trucks they still do some retro shows through the monster blog series and bring them out although those old predator carbs dont run as good these days poppin and fartin around the track
Bigfoot 8 was not the first racer monster truck, the USHRA and promoters who never took monster truck racing seriously were the death nail for the sport as it was.
Bigfoot 8 Pre racing stripes is like finding Sasquatch Bigfoot in the wild. When you find a video of it, you never forget because it's so rare
LOL LOL LOL HAHAHAHhHhHhAHHHAHAHAHAH
Ive always loved watching and cheered for Bigfoot but when Bigfoot 8 was introduced to the racing circuit, it was just amazing!
This is and always my fav Bigfoot paint scheme!

Watching BF8 run with mufflers always puts a smile on my face 🇺🇸🏁🏆

I love how after this comment, they just brought Bigfoot 8 back into their fleet
Loving the vintage footage. Please keep it coming!!!!!!!!

There must've been a ton of sideshow acts...
#8 has such a unique sound. By far be the best sounding monster ever! 1st blower wine, then the sound of those mufflers!
8, 9, & 10 sounded the same way because they all ran the same size engine with Flowmaster mufflers.
You could always tell by the way the ground shook that it was a BBF.
That Autograph session looks crazy, the pressure this Team was under back in those days was crazy.
Yes! I've been wanting this video for so long.
I love this footage!

Thank you Boys, Merry Christmas.
Anyone else been checking out all the old Bigfoot 8 racing footage, after following the restoration of it on IG?
Look at the shocks on the rear of Taurus as he crawls over that last pile of cars, this track was taking a toll on the monsters!
I thought Taurus looked a little shocked.
I never seen a course like this but I'm going to recreate it
9:23 guy with the Back To The Future hat.
Cool to see the early rocker arm suspension design with the hood off.
Bigfoot is the single greatest vehicle ever built
3:52 Taurus looked like it was a little Shocked from that ass whoopin.
Saw it maybe once when I was very young but never made it back up here since the split with Monster Jam.
Could you do more videos of bigfoot 1 or 5 in the future?
What is the opening theme music you are using?
FORD FORD FORD
do you have any footage from July of 1989 at the Rosemont Horizon in Chicago I was there
You can tell how much snappier that truck is
Kinda remember this show I see ecology eliminater of to the side wit battle damage.. I remember Reese tryn to kick front window out to try race again. ??!!..some one shoud post this entire show..PLEASE..!!
What happened to the hood between the first and second race?
I'm gonna guess it tried to rip it off on the 2nd landing in the first race and they just took it off
The wheel probably hit the fender on a bad landing prior to it being removed.
Tire hit the body on compression. They pulled the hood. The cab side was damaged as well.
Bigfoot 8 and Andy Brass...unbeatable, unless somethin on truck breaks. Always sad to see somethin on truck break. Also, that’s possibly my favorite Bigfoot of all time, maybe tied with the Hot Wheels one
thats why they had to ban the truck for a season so everyone could catch up lol

Check out the cantilever suspension.

This is the one that was built for the movie roadhouse right?
No that was 6 or 7, 8 wasn’t even built yet
#7 was built for the Roadhouse movie.
I love bigfoot #8 but it really was the death nail for the sport as it was.
Bigfoot 8 was not the first racer monster truck, the USHRA and promoters who never took monster truck racing seriously were the death nail for the sport as it was.
That long bar under his chassis broke.
💙👣💪🏼
I got my Bigfoot traxxas rc car today so that’s a coincidence
This is before Bigfoot 8 got banned
Am am I first
Yes hey guys why did Bigfoot 5 change from a 1979 to a 1990s body
Because Ford wanted the Bigfoot trucks representative of the latest model. It was part of the sponsorship contract.
There was an 80s model also, gotta watch Police Academy, Road House, a few other 80s films.
@@bretolson279 That was actually Bigfoot 7 modified with the wheels from 5
Was this the first show for 8?
No it was not
