It’s silly to describe or comment with mere words what I’ve just seen and heard. I’m awestruck and dumbfounded. Never in my 46 years of violin playing have I witnessed such a thing. This is so much more than monumental violin wizardry. Augustin is a transcendental musical artist. A genius.
Augustin's playing is absolutely out of this world. I'm Blown Away by your absolute technical mastery; a true genius. I can't begin to imagine... how Augustin can play so many extremely technically difficult pieces at will. Awesome!!!
Hadelich pays humble homage to Corigliano in that the two intermingle. He pays the composer’s music respect and love. That is the best compliment. I don’t know how anyone cannot see and feel the devotion to his craft. I find his interpretation otherworldly.
It’s a little like an airshow: everyone credits the performance to the pilots, but no one stops to thank the engineers who designed the marvel the pilots are flying. They are not seen during the work, and the work is just not as sexy. But, for my part, I will congratulate Mr. Corigliano on this piece! Fascinating work!
I HAVE to write about my enthusiasm hearing Your maestry, Maestro. Your mental control on every single bit of note seen through an ideal vision of lines and nuances, that You actually realize into sound, You build “with” the sound, “in” the sound... That mental control, that is even beyond Your yet more than great talent, becomes a sort of neo-classical DNA of Your style of interpretation: so clear, so readable, so self-confident, and on the other hand so... private! It's not the well-known and common “great show of fake intimacy”. It's the wonderful back shop of the artisan of Beauty. Thank You.
Adriano Castaldini very nicely put. I’ve often felt something private-intimate, about his playing. I can’t quite put it into words myself, as you did. It’s as if we’re being allowed to peer into his soul, and are getting to experience the music as he does.❤️
The Red Violin is a wonderful movie with a very interesting set of stories and excellent, intense music. It takes a very accomplished Violinist and an exceptional instrument to meet the challenges of the diverse emotional music. Very nicely done Augustine. I particularly liked your Gypsy interpretation. You can't hold anything back for that music to sound right!
I've been your avid follower since you first set up your You Tube channel. Fell hopelessly in love with your music the first time I saw you at Vail Bravo many years ago, and the magic continues every day now. It felt like you were my secret but theres no way talent and skill.. and ART like yours could ever be kept secret. Thank you for all your Q & A /technique videos..It gives me a chance to learn more about more than just listening. I was afraid it would break the spell, to pull back the curtain and see the mechanical workings, but no. You're still magic. You have a beautiful soul and I feel privileged to have been along for this part of the ride.
Augustin’s spirit is always one with his creation of melody, harmony and violin 🎻 this musical instrument is only his, no one else could possibly play upon it. he is the master violinist - our Paganini. you feel the music flowing through you and overcoming your senses. this is incredible. the spirits 🦋🦅🦥🫧🦌🦉🐾🍃🌩️🌨️🌊🪷🌱
Oh my gosh!!! That was phenomenal. I’ve never heard a musician so like there instrument. He is literally the violin. I don’t know what else to say. Ahhh 😊👍
I love this video. I have played this piece, and this is my favorite interpretation so far of someone else playing it. Thank you so much for posting this!!!
Mr Hadelich, I will put this as best I can: The 'Leduc' violin is lucky to have *you* , not the other way around ! The same goes for the Ex-Kiesewetter that you played on for a bit. I believe you drew a marvellous sound from it, more-so than Vengerov who had it before you at some stage. Bravo, truly! You are one of my favourite violinists. Top 2 or 3 on my list ... and I am including violinists such as Menuhin, Oistrakh, Kogan, Heifetz, Stern, Vengerov, Jansen, Perlman.....
The most brilliant composer and violinist finally coming together. Such inspiration and enrichment for the soul. I could live, breath and play these pieces for an eternity. Thankyou 💞 💞
Thank you so much Augustin, I really really enjoyed watching play this amazing and awesome piece of music 🎶. Sounds like a very very difficult piece indeed, but, as always, you really really played this with such passion and sensitivity too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
If anything positive has come from this "hiatus" is is the amount of great musical content being posted. Lots of recordings and information that may have never emerged otherwise. If you are going to do another Q and A, I would be interested in seeing your recording setup for these videos. Also maybe some more discussion on playing without a shoulder rest? What technical things did you alter when you switched? What was that process like?
Yestyn Griffith I don't necessarily agree about "all the great musical content' coming from the virus lockdown. I look around, and I have seen a lot of aspiring concert musicians online playing virtuoso stuff for visibility (yes, some excellent), and occasionally a "shortie" by a known master, but most of the master's seem to be hiding out and not doing anything like this. Why, I don't know...classical music as a genre seems to be dying out with this new generation, and the greats should be playing home concerts to keep it alive not just help their own careers. What Augustin Hadelich is doing, clearly not for his "career benefit" demonstrates, to me, a complete love of music and deep compassion for others. The COVID lockdown is letting him truly express himself and help promote classical music. I've seen many different of new classical music vids (and believe me, I am quite critical--to a fault, lol) and in comparison, Hadelich's talent is like from another planet. I hope he doesn't see this comment( because humility is likely the basis for his secret sauce), but that's the truth. GLTY.
@@badbeethoven1588 I don't think you need to worry about his humility. He knows he's the best violinist, but it doesn't matter because he is a man of great character as well. @alexsaldarriaga8318 -- True...this is something from Beyond....almost incomprehensible......BRAVO from Acapulco!
Getting to the point where nearly all of my liked videos are just Augustin
Me too!
Same here!
Same, it's just Augustin, with the occasional guest appearance of Hilary Hahn or James Ehnes.
I am feeling gratitude for live in a time where this quality of art is so easy to access.

There are no words to describe that performance. Out of this world ( literally)
Hadelich is one greatest violinist today....
The fire... the intensity... this is perfection!!
You are Pure Music, a totally pure Soul, we Love your sound, it creates an atmosphere of Pure Life and Perfection. Bravíssimooo
bravo
I heard HIMARI’s perform this song at her concert today, and it was a breathtaking and stunning performance❤️🔥
Everybody congratulating Hadelich for such a great performance.
Nobody congratulating Corigliano for such a great composition.
If not for Hadelich, I might have never heard of Corigliano.

The greatest violinist at our Time! Thank you !!
Безумно экспрессивно, накал страстей до предела, господи как же это шикарно!
Wow so much passion. The way he express the music is beautiful. What an artist.
I haven't heard this soundtrack in years! So glad folks are keeping this excellent music out there for new ears to hear.
It is the best version of this composition that I have found on youtube
No words to express ..... BRAVO Maestro Hadelich!
Amazing!👍👍👍
Thank you, Maestro. Apart from saying thanks i am speechless.

Breathtaking, tear drawing, extraordinary. Bravi ! The neighbors have not yet complained to my listening for the third time at 150 dB.
Augustin... thanks for this
The breath at the end is the frosting of a perfect cake: it shows the humanity behind music and its expression.
Absolutely ❣️

Great execution! Very good! Joshua Bell will have complimented you for sure. I'll do it to you too.
