This is how you're supposed to debut wrestlers: big time angles that instantly set up feuds & storylines.
In AEW it's about taking shots at WWE... And that's really about it
They also like ransacking other wrestling promotions and somehow making the talent look worse.

They had Jacob Fatu take out 3 of WWE's top guys in a matter of minutes. Not 3 security goons, not 3 jobbers, 3 top guys, with one of them being the current WWE Champion. I can't think of anyone who's had a more dominant solo debut than Fatu.
He's trusted. They trust him to not injury anyone. That says a lot about him. Especially the splash through the table. Cody could easily Said no but, he went with it. What does that tell you?
you know what's so scary? I seen people online complaining that Fatu "injured Cody Rhodes". Marks constantly get worked.

Jacob Fatu is very impressive, much more of a threat than Solo Sikoa
More than all of them. He has the ferocious look other Polynesians like Umaga and Haku had. He looks serious, he looks mean. Nothing against any of the other three, but this guy got it
in less than 3 minutes, WWE booked Jacob Fatu into one of the top heels in the entire industry.
Heel situation is so bad in the WWE right now, it was perfect timing for him

If the heel situation was good, Cody would have another storyline instead of being forced back into the Bloodline because his championship run has been such a dud WITHOUT any meaningful heels.

It's a crazy full circle moment being a Jacob Fatu fan, at least for me. The FIRST time I saw Jacob Fatu was in MLW, and he was apart of a major group and debuted by attacking the current World Champion at the time
Now 5 years later, in WWE, he makes his debut, attacking the WWE Champion as apart of the biggest heel faction in the company. It's a cool thing to see honestly

Best Smackdown this year bar none. Fatu was a menace, Drew looked like a warrior carrying Punk with no restrictions. Chelsea Green and Andrade got their biggest pops ever. The show opener is how you open a show!! Chefs kiss

There's times that Paul doesn't even have to speak and you can get the emotion from his face.
IMHO he's one of the best performers ever in wrestling - and television in general.
My favorite part of this was when Konnan was talking about how the Speed championship should be on TV, or when Joe noted that Roman could be coming back as face with Paul, and Disco immediately moves on to the next line of the review with 0 response. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it was such a badass debut and I read that they're hoping to go with Jacob Fatu vs Bobby Lashley at Summerslam. That would be incredible to see.
Which would have been an even bigger deal if Lashley had continued to be a protected juggernaut for the past year.

Jacob Fatu will be the star that WWE thinks Solo will be. I see him being WWE or World Heavyweight Champion in the next 2-3 years as long as he stays clean, healthy, & out of trouble!
I know that WWE has plans in place but Jacob is going to overshadow Solo Sikoa REALLY quickly. They should work that into the angle.
The problem with the new bloodline is Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu appear to be more dangerous than Solo ever was. Tanga Loa hasn't yet been booked in a way so the audience is unsure of what he can do as of now.
I think that's the point - Solo is a fake tough guy, he wants to be potrayed as tough by association, bcuz he is surrounded by maniacs. The heel heat is that Solo is just another cowardly Lion, soft as baby's ass, a dude that hired people he won't be able to control for long.
Long term story i think is that Solo will be kicked out by Jacob and 3 Tongans (third is coming), and he will be back in og Bloodline with his tail tucked between his legs.
I think a huge swerve is coming when Roman comes back. I got this feeling that it's been Heyman that put this new Bloodline together. Roman comes back and Heyman gives the orders to Solo and them to take Roman out.
Roman needs to be a Badass baby face like stone cold. Spear everyone but still act like the tribal chief

I was just surprised that he wasn't bigger. When Bloodline Wolfpac(I swear.. that's gonna catch on any minute now)was standing together at the end, Fatu was the smallest one of the bunch.
he's been working out a lot which, in turn, means losing a lot of size.

the thing that a lot of people aren't really talking about it how the Tama & Toa were eye balling Jacob Fatu as if there's some type of heat there. The sheer layers to this story are incredible.

Konnan from what I’ve understood the Speed Championship can only be seen on X. It’s a media thing Musk paid for. Ricochet wasn’t allowed to carry it on tv either.
Great and strong debut for Jacob Fatu. I can see Rock being the one pulling strings and say he brought in Fatu because Solo wasn’t cutting it.
I don’t see Solo staying with the New Bloodline.

If we’re going to focus on storylines and cheap ploys (Celebrities and HoodRat female rappers featured on NXT) to juice up our loyalist marks (because despite everyone being in the tank for WWE, the audience hasn’t grown beyond the diehards) and wrestling is second and third priority, then there needs to be distinctions made between the WWE (sports entertainment) and other promotions who focus on match quality first.
