I believe it has been that way from the very start of the company. I was just too blind in the beginning to really see it. AEW was built on drama, on tribalism. The thing is, when AEW started, it was fresh, it was cool. Now it's just plain sad.

And you know the "heroes" and "villains" behind the scenes too often. Wash, rinse, repeat. I didn't mind that they were taking shots at the E at first, seemed like it had something to offer. But when you are taking L after L, stop it.
Dax injured himself doing a needlessly dangerous stunt in a throwaway match against the Young Bucks, then works injured for a month just so he can continue to do the job for the Bucks.

It was a ppv for the tag titles dude far from a needless and throw away match and I hate both those teams but still call a spade a spade

Well the medical team aren't giving full body examinations after every match, or even watching the matches. They just help wrestlers who come to them. And if they don't, how is that their fault? Long time ago I tore my hip labrum and didn't take time off work because I was working through an agency and would have been let go. No one noticed. If that had fucked me up even worse, that would 100% have been on me, not my boss. He's defending TK because he knows people will blame him. It ain't weird; it's just taking responsibility and being honest.
But none of that excuses Dax crying like a baby and throwing the cheapest, weakest, most unimaginative insults at Disco. Glenn's a dick, for sure, but he deserves abuse of a far higher caliber.

Disco is absolutely right on this. Why would wrestlers go out and wrestle with a bad injury when you are getting guaranteed money. These modern guys get so upset over criticism, it's like they don't understand that the veterans are trying to help them.
It's a combination of being a mark and not learning from a long, tragic history of a business they should clearly be aware of. A lot of workers and fans now are living under the what about? Theory to try and justify doing something stupid that is clearly stupid.

When they claim Disco would lose all the time I wonder if the wrestlers who say that actually watched. Disco had multiple singles and tag titles reigns. He won and lost just as much as any other mid card guys in the company. Dax is 40. He's the same age I was then so I know he should be able to remember if he actually watched. If you think about it he's just as decorated as Arn Anderson as far as Championships won but you would never catch Dax calling Arn a jobber.

There’s talk about restrictions for kids on social media. Dax says he struggles with mental illness and he is obviously incapable of avoiding social media and other triggers (I giggle at that term outside the range) that mess with his head.

FTR has no momentum because FTR is an enhancement thing for every other duo in that hobby outfit. Beyond that, does anyone really believe Dax had a football sized anything on his back that went unnoticed by anyone with the gift of eyesight? I hate to admit it, but Disco was 100% correct in his complete assessment. In closing, Dax has frequently discussed or claimed mental health issues. Perhaps his wife or a doctor should get him away from C level entertainment/showbiz and get him into some kind of therapy or treatment. Just because you claim to love the business does not mean you should be in the business.

Dude I tore my hip flexor in January of 2023. You have no fucking idea what a brutal injury that is til you experience it for yourself. My lower back was tight one day after work, so I applied a figure four stretch. And when I did that, something popped, and it just got progressively worse overnight. Your core is needed for pretty much every movement you can think of, and there were a grand total of TWO positions I could be in that wasn’t a 10 outta 10 on the pain scale. So for 4 weeks, I sat on my couch, leaning forward, all day & all night. If I swayed to the side or backward, it felt like someone was stabbing me in the hip w/ an 8 inch blade. THEN, when I was just starting to get a lil bit better, I tweaked it, and hurt it even worse than originally. And after almost four weeks of sleeping an hour or two each day, in a seated position nonetheless, it almost sent me over the edge. It absolutely crushed my spirit, and sent me right back to square one. From there, I had two choices… off myself, or go on a 10 day hard bender. I was so sleep deprived at that point that I was starting to lose my mind. And I hate to say it, but once the drugs lessened the pain and allowed me to finally get some quality sleep, I FINALLY started feeling better. Then I had to go through the withdrawal phase when I stopped taking the hard stuff, and that wasn’t a walk in the park either. But I made it, and got my life back. Worst injury I’ve ever had though, and I unfortunately know all too well what Dax is going through. I’m not really a big FTR fan, but I feel for him, and hope he has a speedy recovery.

1. Disco inferno was part of the only promotion in human history to consistent vince and the wwf. He was also a part of the red and black NWO which was arguably the coolest faction in professional wrestling. 2. If FTR was in the middle of a huge angle with a monster mega push, I’d get it. But they aren’t. They are glorified jobbers and Dax as a singles wrestler is a certified jobber. So this idea that they just don’t want to lose their momentum doesn’t exist. They have none. In fact, I know more of Dax Harwood from people reacting to his Twitter tantrums than I do of him as this paragon of pro wrestling.

FTR is a good in-ring team, but they (Dax mostly) fell into the social media and backstage politics trap, which does not benefit them. The injury situation is not something to make light of, but AEW claimed they would not be like the other companies from the past/present. However, they have a bad track record on injuries, considering the frequency of their matches. Doing more dangerous spots once or twice a month is no different than working smart five days a week and not being out with injuries every few months.

Was Disco main event? No but Disco was a dependable dude that got reactions and was solid in the ring and did what he was asked to do.

I can see this from both sides. Dax is opening himself up and is injured and he probably felt angry that Disco said what he said when he said it. I can also see why Dax should stay off social media because he doesn’t have to respond to things. He’s choosing to do so and when he does, parroting Meltzer opinions isn’t the best. Especially when it’s a bad response. Disco worked smart and was in tv during the biggest era of wrestling when tv time was a premium, he still has his health and worked in a variety of roles in the business. I can see why Disco angered him but his response was just wrong.

The problem is context. When Tony was talking about safety it was in reference to a possible sexual harassment case with Jericho. He wasn’t talking about the “safety” of the in ring action. Tony is an idiot but with how worried he is about lawsuits and NDAs I’m sure he thinks his place is “safe” because he really is that clueless
