I remember seeing someone use a mod, I think it was called "part of the community" the way it works is if villagers see you interacting with other villagers they will also gain a bit of friendship points. can be useful for SDVE since there's so many new people to befriend
I added this and it’s SO helpful. I have SVE + ridgeside so there’s 67 total villagers for me to meet and build friendship with. Getting a little friendship every time they see me talk to other villagers is so nice.
I was always watching the same shows as my little brother when we were growing up since I was barely older and always let him choose the show. He ONLY chose Mickey Mouse. Mystery mouse-ka-tool is deeply embedded within my soul.
I was surprised by how much I liked Andy. He's an, intentionally, rough character, but he also goes out of his way to help you in ways that matter. I found myself wanting to befriend him and help him get to a better place in life, when I initial expected I would want to avoid him. Also, minor tip, if you don't get enough hearts with Claire before joja mart leaves (assuming you're going that route), she'll go with it. On the topic of mods, I recommend a number of mods on the last video, and I still stand by those. However, since you mentioned your cat ears, I'd like to also recommend Fashion Sense. It's a framework for adding packs of clothing and accessories. I find it's interface a lot better than the vanilla interface-cycling through cosmetic items, one at a time, in a linear list is something of a bugbear for me-and the items that work with it have have more features, like animated hair or the ability to pick a color). It also works alongside the vanilla options, so it's not all or nothing.
Its interesting alway seeing people like Andy and why XD... i grew up in a place where his type of character was common and Walmart is revered as much as the church
Salmence, another mod I do recommend if you don't have it is 'Sit for Stamina'. You can sit on a chair to regain Stamina and I like it quite a bit because I feel like it gives you a bit more outta your day if you manage to sit somewhere nearby. Otherwise, loving watching these lol
I really recommend adding the “NPC Adventures” mod! With it, you can take the marriage candidates anywhere with you, and they have new dialogue in every location you bring them. Someone even made an add-on for SVE characters (imagine taking Olivia to the mines, she’d love that). I also recommend the “Pet Interaction” mod if you want to take Machi with you. They’ll follow you anywhere except into buildings.
49:49 I LOVE the automate mod when dealing with the crab pots, if you put the recycle machine and a bait producer next to chest, they will work as well. The flowers in your game looks so pretty
I've played around with automate, it's pretty incredible for orchards, smelting, or creating sealed wine/preserves sheds that you access the inventory of from a single chest by the entrance. The cash you'll make using it properly is obscene. You could forget your aging basement for years while it automates the whole process and works through stacks of wine. I forgot, it's great for fish ponds if you set up wood paths to work as connections for automate. A few preserve bins and a chest will handle their drops.
my personal mod recommendation is the "penny two heart dialogue fix" mod, it switches it so that when she pushes george, you can actually educate her on why that's a horrid thing to do, and she actually learns from it! makes her a good bit more tolerable
Another episode so soon?? We're getting spoiled!! I have a few mod rec's for your consideration: Happy Birthday and the mod that adds a bundle into the kitchen for the community center! I just think it pairs SUPER well with the cooking skill mod you added! So excited for more of this series. I love the lil to-do lists each day. This is gonna be fun to watch
I'm in Y1 of my first ever modded playthrough right now and one functional mod I really like is the Lookup Everything mod. It works with new characters or items added by other mods so it makes it easy to see which NPCs like which new items, or the gift tastes for new NPCs.
20:02 Pretty Sure you have a mod that lets you sell seeds so that is the coin and the two coin is the stack sell price. The Tree symbol is how much the crop will be when it’s grown.
chests anywhere is a favorite to use with automate because then you can label your chests and also is a life saver before you have the backpack upgrades
Imagine fishing at the *mountain* *lake* on a *rainy* *evening* in spring or summer. The sound of your line hitting the water, the rain falling on the water, the chorus of *frogs* …
I really love the map he’s using in this. Started playing again just last week because I wanted a game I could play using minimal brain power and hand power and decided to start a new game. Saw this series so decided to add the mods that I didn’t yet have as well as the map.
I think someone mentioned it last episode, but the Love of Cooking mod is really good. It basically revamps the whole cooking system, adds a cooking skill, new recipes and some tweaks to old ones, and I think - I _think_ because I can't do it yet - it lets you cook on villagers' stoves with a high enough friendship level (so, before a house upgrade or level 9 foraging)
Loving this series so far. I binged your previous 100 episode let’s play and learned a lot, so thank you. I want to suggest the Pride in the Valley mod which adds some inclusive dialogue and a Pride event. I haven’t tried it yet, but I think it would be cool for the let’s play. Love all of your guides and content.
Really enjoying this series. Before now, I'd only seen bits and pieces of Stardew Expanded, since I typically play on Switch. Surprised by how much content was added!
You said “6pm on a Sunday afternoon” right as I went to check the time at 6pm on a Sunday afternoon to make sure I’m not late for something. That spooked me.
I wish I could've found this series 6-12 months in the future so I could watch it all at once. Now I'm just stuck here twiddling my thumbs waiting for the next video XD Also, if you're looking for fun mods, a polyamory mod could be interesting once you get a bit further.
I watched your 130 golden walnuts and then found you had done these. I am really enjoying them, I play stardew but nice to watch someone else do all the hard work.😎
I am enjoying the series...great for a break from work. For future reference, gift Leah spring onions and Penny dandelions. Very few people like those items, so they are best used for them. But save your dandelions and leeks if you want to make salads later. Oh, and I find Shane loves the Salmonberries, another cheap and plentiful gift. And you wouldn't have to buy peppers EVER if you didn't toss your foraged seeds. I only buy the seeds that mixed seeds don't grow into. Saves a ton of money. I'm surprised how many people still buy heaps of Strawberry seeds...they aren't very useful, so I only get one seed and save it until I have the greenhouse, then it produces indefinitely (and if you want more, pop one into the seed maker).
I know this is an old video and I’m probably about to comment on something you may not have even done intentionally but I’m gonna do it anyway. I must compliment your audio mixing. I’m very hard of hearing (legally deaf in one ear and almost there in the other) and videos that feature both talking and music can be very difficult for me to hear, but your audio gives me no problems. It’s likely for headphone users, but it also makes it more accessible for us HOH folks so I just wanted you to know I appreciate it. ❤
I'm so glad you mentioned this, I spend a lot of time in every video getting it just right! And yup, it comes out to being hearable in headphones, and a bit quieter with speakers, which is just what I like!
@@salmence100 that’s why I wanted to bring it up. I know good, well mixed audio isn’t quick or easy. I for one appreciate your efforts. I am sure someone has already said this but, Sophia likes Puppy fish and Sunflowers. Puppy fish can be caught on the bridge to the right of the blacksmith shop where you saw the Butter fish.

It also adds the ability for some characters to change their wardrobes over time. So, for example, Shane can actually start taking care of himself as you progress through his story. (Note: Both require expansion mods if you want them to cover SVE content.) The next two are Dynamic Night Time and Dynamic Windows, to go with your Dynamic Reflections. Dynamic Night Time changes sunrise and sunset, as well as the quality of the light, based on the time of year. It doesn't have an impact on gameplay, but it's great for immersion. Similarly, Dynamic Windows adds some new, decorative, windows that can show different animations based on the weather. Finally, there's Seasonal Garden Farmhouse V2. a really interesting mod worth looking into is shockah’s season affixes. it’s honestly hard to explain but at the start of every season you get to choose between two “themes” for the season, with their own benefits and risks. it can really change the way you look at things from season to season!!
Highly recommend 1oxnes and talkohlooey's seasonal portraits - it meant to work in conjunction with the seasonal portraits mod you are currently using, and there is a version for the SVE NPCs as well! It's one of my favorite mods! I'd also recommend the Horse Overhaul mod if you haven't already installed it (can't remember off the top of my head, sorry). I love the saddlebags feature, I like to put gifts for villagers inside so when I'm riding around town I can just hop off real quick and pull out a gift for people I see!
I forget the name, but there is a mod where you can create a running to-do/task list that stays on screen while you play. Poxial has been using it for their current modded play through
As someone who recently completed her own vanilla Perfection run (on my first save, I should add), I can say that Sashimi is at 3 hearts with Linus, lol. Unless SVE changes it, prepare to get lots of it from Linus in the mail after unlocking it.
YES! Automate mod for the win! XD That is the first mod I ever installed (along with the one that stops the NPCs from breaking your items), and I miss it dearly on my Switch.
31:35 man one time I was in the mines, and I broke every rock, and killed every monster, and had to resort to spam clicking in the dark to find the ladder
Please do consider the Lookup Anything mod. You can see with it all the information you need about any item and any villager including the loved/liked items for every villager and if you have some of those items!
The MARGO mod is a pretty cool skills overhaul. It makes leveling up much more important into late game as well. There are different level perks to choose from at level 5 and 10 and eventually you can get all 4 perks for level 10 and then Prestige 1 of the level 10 perks of your choice to go to level 20 for additional added bonus to that perk. It also costs money to continue leveling so it's pretty balanced. It makes late game have more skill leveling involved because you're constantly wanting to relevel up to get all the perks.
Something you should add, is the immersive shops mod. It makes it so you can buy seeds and stuf from the shelves at pierres, and it de-clutters the shop menus.
Trapper + Automate is MMMMM especially when hooking up a recycler and worm bin if you don't take the no bait thingy, you can press U to see which systems are connected together
I see you say that the auto petter doesn’t increase friend ship with animals but i get the auto petter and ignore my animals for months but the friend ship always goes up unless something else is increasing friend ship
I added stone pathways to the connectors when I first added automate, not thinking about how my ENTIRE FARM was paved in them. lost about half my items before I realised and restarted the day without that lol
first time playing expanded i skipped the sewer cutscene and i finished the whole museum before realizing gunther didn’t have the key 😢 i just wanted to meet my guy krobus cuz i love him
I think pressing U toggles the ui for automate it shows which chests are connected to which machines showing green when automated and red if not connected to anything
Couple of suggestions: There's a mod that auto-grabs truffles off the ground and puts them into your auto grabber, obviously this would only benefit you a bit later in the game but when you're already using the automate mod it makes everything even better. I also quite like the better bee houses mod.

With the automate mod you can put all the ore (of one type) and coal in a chest next to a furnace and let the "magic" happen.😄
12:59 makes me feel so seen cause i purposefully call Clint “Clit” ☠️☠️
Something you should add, is the immersive shops mod. It makes it so you can buy seeds and stuf from the shelves at pierres, and it de-clutters the shop menus.
There are separate shelves for each category of items
You need 9 to win the egg festival. Sophie wins if you get 8, Jas and Vincent win if you collect 6 or 7 (I forget which).
I am begging you to not call him Clintoris. We know he doesn't know where it is.
I'm fairly sure Clintoris knows where his self is. He's inside his Clintoral hoodie to keep warm during the winter.
“Get slimed idiots” lmao 🤣
do NOT call him clintorus (12:59)
Oh hell yeah, I literally just watched the first episode!
The previous episode managed to convince me to give this man a try
47:41 I only got 7 eggs my first time cause I was so thrown off by the location change 😭 Sophie does beat you in that case
I added stone pathways to the connectors when I first added automate, not thinking about how my ENTIRE FARM was paved in them. lost about half my items before I realised and restarted the day without that lol
first time playing expanded i skipped the sewer cutscene and i finished the whole museum before realizing gunther didn’t have the key 😢 i just wanted to meet my guy krobus cuz i love him
I love this series ❤ now I wanna play stardew with these same mods lol
I think pressing U toggles the ui for automate it shows which chests are connected to which machines showing green when automated and red if not connected to anything
Couple of suggestions: There's a mod that auto-grabs truffles off the ground and puts them into your auto grabber, obviously this would only benefit you a bit later in the game but when you're already using the automate mod it makes everything even better. I also quite like the better bee houses mod.
I personally love the medieval buildings mod! :)
this series is awesome!
