An open suggestion to any journalist, or talk show host, or RUclips personality who should ever be so fortunate to be granted an interview with Sir Paul... ASK PAUL WHY HE BURIED THIS SONG!!! 🤫
Man, how in the world did they pass up releasing this back in the day. Waterspout is classic McCartney. I hope it gets some much needed love in the London Town Archive release when that happens.
Macca Will never be surpassed ! The Greatest Composer And Musician of of All time ! He Composes Produces Sings Plays and has Entertained Billions in his lifetime ! Nobody Close ! He Is A Saint Of Music ahead of all classical composers by miles and all other musicians too !!! A True Genius !!
Typical Macca. Just throws away great songs from his place on high in Music Olympus! Us mere mortals scramble around looking for his scraps and we are still blown away...that is talent for you folks
What the?? McCartney is the gift that keeps on giving. I keep finding amazing tracks I haven't heard before (I'd heard of this one, but hadn't sought it out)
Daddy loved a dancer, Though she never gave an answer He used to follow her all about Still, she couldn't shake him, She didn't seem to make her mind up Till he took her to the waterspout Love comes in, love comes out At the bottom, at the bottom of the waterspout Whoa whoa whoa, love comes in, love comes out At the bottom, at the bottom of the waterspout Woody wouldn't do it, But he said he never blew it He didn't know what was hanging out Oh, till he got an answer out of daddy's dancer When she took him to the waterspout She said, love comes in, love comes out At the bottom, at the bottom of the waterspout Whoa whoa whoa, love comes in, love comes out At the bottom, at the bottom of the waterspout Only love can get you at it and in a minute You will find yourself swimming in it, Only love Catch you up today, Take your breath away Make you want to say what You're thinking of, it's only love Down at the bottom, Down at the bottom of the waterspout Love comes in, love comes out At the bottom, at the bottom of the waterspout Daddy couldn't stand it, said woody was a mad bandit And they were knocking each other out Whoa oh, till the little dancer came up with another answer When she took him to the waterspout Said, love comes in, she said, love comes out At the bottom, at the bottom of the waterspout Whoa whoa whoa, love comes in, yeah, love comes out At the bottom, at the bottom of the waterspout Only love can get you at it and in a minute You will find yourself swimming in it, only love Take your breath away, Catch you up today Make you want to say what you're thinking of, It's only love Down at the bottom, Down at the bottom of the waterspout Whoa, only love At the bottom, at the bottom of the waterspout Well, love comes in, said, love comes out Down at the bottom, down at the bottom of the waterspout Whoa whoa whoa, love, la la la la, love comes out At the bottom, at the bottom of the waterspout Makes you want to do What you're thinking of, say that only love Oh, at the bottom, oh, at the bottom of the waterspout Whoa whoa whoa whoa, love comes in, love comes out
This Has To Be The Happiest And Most Joyous And Divine Songs McCartney Ever Wrote. Wish He Put It Out Back In The 70's Or 80's As It Is To Good To Be Unreleased.
What can I say, one of Paul's most magical and unreleased track! Made me trip for so long. I was lucky to get a copy of it about thirty years ago at a Beatles convention. So bad it hasn't been remixed since then when most of the other tracks off that Cold Cuts album can be found -on Red Rose Speedway II. The same for Sunshine Sometime, that is, with Paul and Linda's voices! -the back track can be found on Ram II.
I too got a bootleg about that long ago, and have known this song since then. I still have that album, but no turntable to play it on! Occasionally, I'll catch myself humming this beautiful melody (of which he has created so many). This morning, I decided to try to see if it was on RUclips, and of course, I wasn't disappointed. Nice to hear this gem again.
Very cool track. To my ears it shares a bit of its DNA with "Wonderful Christmastime". It also reminds of something else by Macca, but I can't quite place it.
I first heard this on a bootleg in the mid 1980s, I was about 15. It's one of my fav Macca songs, lord knows why he didn't release the finished version.
The vibes of this song is just a beautiful corniness like I get it, loves comes in love comes out like a waterspout? Like yeah I imagine maybe that is just an idea the label thought was too silly of a love song. I can’t lie though whenever he sings that song I always do a stupid water spout dance to accompany it. That’s just the range of Macca, he can give you a heavy metal performance on Helter Skelter but he can also make your heart melt with this, thank you so much for posting this with no ADs.
Wonder what the general public will think if it is released. It invokes an entire mini-musical in my head. I'm so glad so many people love it. Shine on, Paulie!
Paul's definitely done songs with similar structures and melodies before. Compare Warm and Beautiful with Golden Earth Girl, the opening chords are nearly identical.
Wish he would have done this as an acoustic track and left out that drum track. It doesnt need all the other instrumentation. The backup vocals are nice.
Because I abandoned a good musical piece out of necessity, it is ColdCuts. The musical piece is given bit by bit later and was released, but others slightly mixed will be different from now on. The recent pole was attractive unlike now. The love of the family becomes the backfire now even if I release anything unlike it. Really disappointed.
A track that SHOULD have been on London Town. I would have sacrificed Morse Moose and the Grey Goose in favor of this. The rest of the album is fine as is.
Shows again his unmatched versatiliy - he could do ANY genre! But I totally understand his decision not to put this on an album or try and make it a hit, because it's not.
He’s thrown away better songs than most have released
An open suggestion to any journalist, or talk show host, or RUclips personality who should ever be so fortunate to be granted an interview with Sir Paul...
ASK PAUL WHY HE BURIED THIS SONG!!! 🤫
This man throws away songs most artists couldn’t even dream of composing. Truly the best songwriter we’ve ever seen.
This.
Man, how in the world did they pass up releasing this back in the day. Waterspout is classic McCartney. I hope it gets some much needed love in the London Town Archive release when that happens.
No idea. If I could add an image of me throwing my arms up in the air, it is here....
@User unknown you mean..... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I guess it didn't fit in w george michael and paula Abdul lol but yeah with a little push this should've gone up the charts for sure. Love it!
The chorus part sounds like the chorus part of Ringo Starr - Six O’Clock which, of course, was written by Macca
The definition of a hidden gem. This is so McCartney, I can’t even explain it.
That this sublime song was ignored by Paul is inexcusable
@@marc-yv7cu Paul’s gift is too vast, it must be really hard to decide what to release when you have that Midas touch
Machiel de Groot. very good analysis !...
why hes left this in the cupboard for so long beats me its classic mccartney
Macca Will never be surpassed ! The Greatest Composer And Musician of of All time ! He Composes Produces Sings Plays and has Entertained Billions in his lifetime ! Nobody Close ! He Is A Saint Of Music ahead of all classical composers by miles and all other musicians too !!! A True Genius !!
Apart from all that, he's a bit mediocre.
@@derrickstott5231 Why?
@@derrickstott5231 what??
This song illustrates so well McCartney's magic. Something I cannot explain, but that makes him so special to me.
ikr, sounds like a soundtrack of a dream =]
HOW WAS THIS NOT ON AN ALBUM???OR A SINGLE????? This so g is magical, top notch ‘70’s Paul.
Cannot understand how that wasn’t released! What a great song !
I’m jealous of the alternate reality where this was on London Town instead of shit like Children, Children 🙄
he probably wasn't happy with it how it turned out, I don't blame him, each artist has his own thoughts about their stuff and i respect it very much
McCartney is the Biggest Monster of the music of our age. After The Beatles: Macca!
Oh man, so straight up cheerful and simple with the ear candy only he can dispense
Typical Macca. Just throws away great songs from his place on high in Music Olympus!
Us mere mortals scramble around looking for his scraps and we are still blown away...that is talent for you folks
McCartney was so ahead of his time with this song. An early glimpse of the genre of tropical house and reggaeton.
Totally 💯
What?
MASSIVE TUNE
A REAL WHOPPER! 👍👍
Such an iconic hit it could’ve been.. oh paul
this song is a hidden gem simply in its purest form
I can imagine this one being a standard played at vacation resorts. Has a very island feel. Hope it gets a polished mix.
What the?? McCartney is the gift that keeps on giving. I keep finding amazing tracks I haven't heard before (I'd heard of this one, but hadn't sought it out)
Daddy loved a dancer,
Though she never gave an answer
He used to follow her all about
Still, she couldn't shake him,
She didn't seem to make her mind up
Till he took her to the waterspout
Love comes in, love comes out
At the bottom, at the bottom of the waterspout
Whoa whoa whoa, love comes in, love comes out
At the bottom, at the bottom of the waterspout
Woody wouldn't do it,
But he said he never blew it
He didn't know what was hanging out
Oh, till he got an answer out of daddy's dancer
When she took him to the waterspout
She said, love comes in, love comes out
At the bottom, at the bottom of the waterspout
Whoa whoa whoa, love comes in, love comes out
At the bottom, at the bottom of the waterspout
Only love can get you at it and in a minute
You will find yourself swimming in it,
Only love
Catch you up today,
Take your breath away
Make you want to say what
You're thinking of, it's only love
Down at the bottom,
Down at the bottom of the waterspout
Love comes in, love comes out
At the bottom, at the bottom of the waterspout
Daddy couldn't stand it, said woody was a mad bandit
And they were knocking each other out
Whoa oh, till the little dancer came up with another answer
When she took him to the waterspout
Said, love comes in, she said, love comes out
At the bottom, at the bottom of the waterspout
Whoa whoa whoa, love comes in, yeah, love comes out
At the bottom, at the bottom of the waterspout
Only love can get you at it and in a minute
You will find yourself swimming in it, only love
Take your breath away,
Catch you up today
Make you want to say what you're thinking of,
It's only love
Down at the bottom,
Down at the bottom of the waterspout
Whoa, only love
At the bottom, at the bottom of the waterspout
Well, love comes in, said, love comes out
Down at the bottom, down at the bottom of the waterspout
Whoa whoa whoa, love, la la la la, love comes out
At the bottom, at the bottom of the waterspout
Makes you want to do
What you're thinking of, say that only love
Oh, at the bottom, oh, at the bottom of the waterspout
Whoa whoa whoa whoa, love comes in, love comes out
Thanks for the lyrics, Steve!
Magical/ Could have easily been a number one hit, but never released. Only Paul could have a song this good andf never officially released.
Dylan's had a few. He kept lots of good ones back in the 80s and 90s whilst releasing much worse ones. Odd isn't it?
My forever favorite McCartney song.
those unknown gems are the bestest
This Has To Be The Happiest And Most Joyous And Divine Songs McCartney Ever Wrote. Wish He Put It Out Back In The 70's Or 80's As It Is To Good To Be Unreleased.
One of the best song of him.
It’s such a great rarity. Really needs a proper release
Always showing up for new discoveries at the bottom of this music spout.

great tune, can't believe this didn't make it on londontown, beautiful tune
Another great song by a truly incredible musician,
singer,songwriter,arranger and producer...amazing
The Master!
This will surely be on an Archive Collection version of London Town, When that will come nobody knows but Macca
This one is a charmer should be released in the us style style to
como deja afuera de un disco a una joya asi? solo paul
Very cool track. To my ears it shares a bit of its DNA with "Wonderful Christmastime". It also reminds of something else by Macca, but I can't quite place it.

one of my faves ❤❤
I HAVE THIS VINYL! 🤗 ❤️
Love this
Been a Macca fan and I had not heard this song until this year. It could have been a chart topper. Has a reggae vibe to it.
The vibes of this song is just a beautiful corniness like I get it, loves comes in love comes out like a waterspout? Sounds like Winter Sun off McCartney III (the end part of the video of When Winter Comes)
Temazo
Never heard this before. How was this not included on London Town or at the very least released as a period B-side.
You had to wonder how this one got shelved.
London Town is one of the rumoured next McCartney Archive releases. If true it’ll be great to see this song get a proper release.
One day..
Wonder what the general public will think if it is released. It invokes an entire mini-musical in my head. I'm so glad so many people love it.
Shine on, Paulie!
i have this bootleg,b side is the stones
It's a bit rude, but what a track! A monster, and not released. How?
Such a naughty lyric Paulie..:0)))
I thought that too lol
What is wrong with the lyrics?
I ❤️ Paul
Great tune!!...Love it.
I have the cold cuts album on CD from japan
Almost was on All The Best, withdrawn at the last minute.
A great song would have been a bit hit if he had realeased it as a single
Songwriters are weird its like we dont wa t to give the people everything and keep the best stuff fir our loved ones that we want to sing them to
i'm almost sure this song is somekind of a demo for off the ground, the song. They share similar chords
Paul's definitely done songs with similar structures and melodies before. Compare Warm and Beautiful with Golden Earth Girl, the opening chords are nearly identical.
McCartney could have released this wonderful melodic gem if he had just changed the title to "Love Comes Out".
Wish he would have done this as an acoustic track and left out that drum track. It doesnt need all the other instrumentation. The backup vocals are nice.

You folks realize the sexual connotation with the Waterspout? That's why this was never released.
A track that SHOULD have been on London Town. I would have sacrificed Morse Moose and the Grey Goose in favor of this. The rest of the album is fine as is.
LOL, Morse Moose is by far my favourite on that album, which is in fact the ONE album where I never skip a single track!
I just suddenly realized this song is about Linda's vajayjay, isn't it?
The dirtiest of all Paul songs.
This song is really just sexual innuendos and double entendres 😂
