Greetings Sis. Negl I'm waiting for those famous bread & butter pickles. I'm going to give these a go. I'm going to stop tilting the jar to get the water off too. It's a habit that needs to be broken. Your subscribers be having tips 😊
I can't wait to see your video next week. I'm going to leave that right there lol. Jaxson got my boy dog looking like where is he? He doesn't bark any more so that's something.
Until next time thanks for sharing your knowledge and mess ups. That way I don't feel like I'm failing when life happens. The struggle is real.

Omg🤗 I love this ❤ this has so many childhood memories of my mother. She died when I was 5 years old I'm 50 now and I remember my mother canning for her family of 10! I remember going to the garden picking fruits and veggies. Everone in the neighborhood got food from my mother gardens no one went hungry in the 60 & 70 when it can to my mom. Do you have a recipe on making homemade ice cream? I have my mother's old fashion ice cream machine you have to crank by hand.

Thanks in large part to you, I will be canning my first anything, your dill pickle spears, by myself tomorrow. The pickles are soaking in the brine.
I helped my grandmother in the kitchen doing this many a day, but I was a teenage boy then and didn't really pay attention to all the steps. I remember her sending me to the store to get vinegar, and I came back with white vinegar instead of ACV; you would have thought I had come directly from the Moon the way she looked at me.
Anyway, I have my grandmother's old canner and other equipment, so she'll be there with me in spirit to help.
    Thank you.

When I was a child (about 50 years ago), we bought our pickles from the local grocery. They were stored in big barrels in a corner of the old-fashioned Mom and Pop store. I remember telling the grocer that I wanted one from the bottom, not the top, LOL! It was so much drama for a 5 cent pickle!

I worked in Smucker's Pickle Factory as a teen. Packing jars of spears, you turn them all facing the same way on the outside of the jar, and then put four like a whole in the middle. They come out pretty and you fit more. They are easier to slice if you stand them on end then spear from the soft side out. Happy canning!

Do you take mail orders on you vegetables and chickens? Just playing..lol Those cucumbers look fantastic, delicious, scrumptious. I like that you wait the 5 minutes before taking your jars out of the canner. They still processing (no quick temperature shock) it helps to get that good seal in your jars. And never tilt or turn upside down. I like how you let them along to air dry. You remind me of the old ways of canning, that's why I love watching you. Did your mother teach you, my grandmother was my teacher.. I like how you put a little vingar in your canner to keep jars clear of residue. I'm a new subscriber. Im playing catch-up watching you .I moved from the south and got away from canning but now you've encouraged me to get back into canning, back to my roots. Growing my own food and storing it. Lead farmer shows how to grow vegetables on your patio. So, that's what I'm doing. Glade I ran into his Channel. I'm waiting on my jars to arrive so I can start canning. Trying to keep my pantry stocked and my freezer full. My kids think I'm doing too much but they don't understand we don't know where we're going in this world today. We can only depend on ourselves. The stores are out of so many things. So, I'm ordering on line. I watch you and I will try some of your recipes they look good girl!!! Thank you

Good recipe! Thank you! Keep hearing the chirping of little chicks in the background...gives me memories...in the spring, my father would head home from work and I ran to greet him up our long rocky driveway...He would open the car door holding me while I held on to drive towards the house...springtime was special as in the back seat were chirping little birds...he loved my reaction...couldn’t wait to hold them...we got to keep them warm in a box inside our home for about three weeks...wanted to cry when they had to go to the coop. Going down a rabbit hole. Going to do your recipe soon! By the way, your website is getting mentioned more and more...hope to see your subs going up more. Marfoogle news will give you a shoutout increasing .your subs...call in early to get on the show about growing and storing food...mention you have a website and voila! Cute shirt! Thanks for the videos and for letting us get to know you! I will try this, but I learned to make delicious dill pickles 45 years ago from a wonderful Mennonite neighbor. They are the best I've ever had and use Fresh,
green, leafy dill with emphasis on leaves, not seeds. I use some seed heads, though plus a grape leaf, mulberry leaf or horseradish leaf in each jar for crispier pickles. I even use wild grape leaves, making sure are actually grape leaves not a poisonous look-a-like.
Try it sometime with small, crunchy cucumbers.
    Brine
    3 cups water
    3/4 cup apple cider vinegar
    1 or 2 garlic cloves
    1 T. Sugar
    2 T. Pickling salt
Pack jars with a few stems of leafy dill, grape leaf, garlic and washed mini cucumbers. Any size works, but the smaller whole cucumbers will be wonderful.
Pour hot brine over cucumbers, wipe rims, seal and water bath can for about 10- 15 minutes. She said until they turn pickle color!

I had watched numerous videos so I’d do it correctly. Your video never came up as a recommendation! I get on here this morning and here it is! Darn it. I bought the cider vinegar and pickling spices but the video I followed didn’t use them. So I added dill weed, some garlic, mustard seed, pickle crisp to my jars. I sure hope they taste good! I wish I had seen this yesterday! Great video. 😊

I love bread and butter pickles. Mom use to make Kosher Dill with fresh dill, 3 cloves of garlic and an 1/8 teaspoon of red pepper flakes.

Yes you can CAN! I love that shirt! Will be ordering one of those. I'm so happy for you that your blessings are overflowing. You deserve it. It was a good lesson for us to see what to do if canning is interrupted. Love your videos. I made sweet pickles the other night. Going to make these next! Peace and blessings.

Another awesome video. Maybe in a video you can mention why it’s essential to de bubble. What could happen if you don’t. And why some canning ingredients have an inch head space or half inch head space. Some us newbies are inexperienced and have not done enough canning to know the ins and outs. Experience is knowledge and you have a lot of experience from the videos I have watched.
