The model kit that every kid growing up in the 1960s wanted soooo badly ! Hurrah ! Footnote : If only this kit wasn't ' UK ONLY ' ... Argh! Instead of having one to hand, I'll tune in and watch your build ! :)
Excellent stuff! I wish they'd gone the extra mile to make the animation smooth when the iris closes down though. If they're paying the cost of an LED screen, why not!
I really hope this build comes to the USA. When Hachette had the Black Pearl the only way I was able to get it was by the kindness of a local German who put in a subscription for me and mailed the issues to me every few months.
If it does then it will via Agora Models. Also if it hits the newsagents nxt yr we don,t know if it,s going to be in newsagents WH Smith,s or if it will online only because it,s ahalfscale only build which is not good if that,s the case 😉🤖😰🥶😬👎
@@bedfordshiremodeller4491 We have nothing like a WH Smiths here in the States. I have never seen a partwork show up in any hobby shop, comic shop, or book store here. All of the partworks have been via the mail. I will be keeping an eye on their website and listening to Wayne as he seems to have the inside scoop on these things.
It,s only in selected area,s of the UK that they choose these test run area,s. We know how they go about or which of those selected area,s that they choose 🤔🤷♂️
I’m surprised they didn’t actually do build the tardis.. And have it like the millennium falcon build which would be great because you can paint it and do anything you like
The outside of the Tardis is a bit too simple to be an interesting build. It's basically just a box. And problem with the inside, is which one? The Tardis interior is redesigned for every actor that plays the role. And physics kinda makes it impossible to do both at the same time! ;-)
It is frustrating that on the website, it is not clear this is a trial - other than the Dalek build is not listed on the home page. It appears a link such as the one in this video is needed. I have tried to subscribe, but, even though the site indicates the subscription was successful, I have not had any confirmation. I pretty much expected this to happen having watched your video's Wayne, but it would be good if Hatchett made it explicitly clear that this is a trial run.
It's to test the market. It wouldn't be a real test if everyone knew that's what it was. For most people, what's the point of starting a build if they know it's going to be cancelled or at least delayed for maybe a year after the first 3/4 issues.
@@dennispitts1315 Not a good strategy if you piss off potential subscribers by not being upfront about the status of a part build. I would be less inclined to even look at a Hatchett Partworks in future as I would not trust them to take a built to completion.
I subscribed and had confirmation and an account number for the Dalek , which is now on my account along with the Titanic im building ! But nothing was sent to me !

Sad what happened to doctor who
At the end of the trial, Wayne is going to have himself a one of a kind flashlight/torch for when the power goes out in the workshop.
I really hope this goes into full build. Great channel Wayne .

I really like this build, fingers crossed for the full release👍

They should have done the trial to have the finished dome, so if they didn't carry on, you would have a display item..
A dalek dome complete.
Well caught up with all your builds been hectic but enjoyable
A full size sonic screwdriver model would make a nice extra / free gift for this partwork.
Any idea where i can order this online or should i try to see if I get lucky in my local shops?
If your in the UK you local newsagents should have it
@WorldofWayneUK i had a look today, they only have issue 1 but hopefully they get the others soon
Searched from Bristol to Liverpool. It's not available in any of these regions 😢
Cardiff, is a good place to look as being the home of Doctor Who

@@TheDoctor881I'm working there Monday. Going in early si I can check.
Spent all last weekend going round the shops trying to find this. With no success.
Anyone spot these please post where. 😊

@@jimmyporter8941 But the interior of it is much bigger on the inside of it then it the outside. Ahalfscale Cyberman build would also work
@@bedfordshiremodeller4491 So long as they don't do K9. ;-)

If they did that there is a higher likelihood that more people then not would pass on signing up

Is the bloke on the mono cycle going to be in side
On these trials, how long do you hold on to the parts after completion?
About 3-5 months just in case it gets a full release.
Very good ,hot cakes come to mind with this.
Great vid
Let their be lite
It,s gnna be very similar to Deagostini,s 1:2scale R2D2 build which came out in the mid noughties
Dont know if this is coming to australia Heard anything
Heard nothing
This looks great imagine if someone did the tardis
Impressive Wayne, reminds me of when Dr who was good
I hope they don't ex-terminate this run after the trial 😂
I don’t like the eyestalk powered up.. the hexagonal thing puts me off when the eye focus on a Dalek it’s supposed to be round and a lot smoother.
Build your own sonic screwdriver would be good from a certain doctor who era
Fred the cable , can we fix it😃

Vision is not impaired
Probably would have got this if it was a movie dalek or classic. Rubbish these bronze ones
