Depends what circle your in, but MJ was on another planet life style and fame wise. no entertainer can even remotely relate or compare. Pop stars like Lady Gaga do eccentric stuff like where a giant taco costume or something, knowing what they're doing is weird and will get attention. Michael was so out of touch social norms he thought building a theme park and hanging out with little kids was normal.
Michael was an earth angel. People who understand spirituality will understand and know Michael’s energy was at the highest vibration. Michael know he was going to be big Bc he saw it, and he NEVER failed. He was misunderstood Bc he was spiritual awaken and his third eye was open, and people didn’t get him but still loved him. If Michael didn’t do music, he would still have a huge impact on people no matter what he did , that’s just what was destined for him.

MadMahd Michael used pain killers Bc he had a second degree burn to his scalp. Let’s make this clear, Michael never did drugs nor did he drink alcohol. The media has painted this picture of him to had died as an addict, and it is far from the truth. They’ve done this to MJ and Prince; who was also very spiritually awaken. Michael was murdered, don’t let the media and rumors fool you. Like I stated Michael was an earth angle who had a mission, to help children and to save the world we live in. Michael mission was much too BIG for any drugs or anything to get in the way of that, especially the allegation. No matter what the people, media and industry has put him through his unconditional love for children and this world never stopped. Michael knew he was going to die and why...in interviews his family says that he’s been trying to warn them and grew so paranoid. His death was a set up but he was never an addict.

I love many performers, Lennon, McCartney, many are geniuses, but with Michael Jackson. He was an all-round performer and oddly you could say that he was so talented that he in some ways underachieved. Crazy to say that, but he was even more talented than what he achieved.
My theory on the last question is so many artists from Beyoncé to Justin Timberlake to Usher were actually inspired by Michael, so even if though we have so many stars today they probably wouldn’t be to that same caliber without that MJ influence. So he would still stand out in outstanding ways.
It's not a matter of there being more STARS today than back then, as it pertains to if Michael Jackson would be as popular today, versus his entire 50 year career (and mind you he still is uncannily popular both now in present day, and in death). But, in the broader scope of things, it would be more so about the lack of INFLUENCE that the stars of today would lack, if Michael Jackson came up in present day(s). People need to remember and be reminded that Michael Jackson influenced every single artist that exists today: from style, singing, live performance, recording, business, and most definitely dance. There wouldn't be the popular artists of today as we know them if Michael didn't come before, but later instead. And even if he did come later, the results would be all the same - Michael Jackson was, still is, and undoubtedly would be in present day; the literal blueprint and beacon of awe that he forever will be spoken of and remembered as throughout all of space and time. People doesn’t understand how Michael Jackson is famous in the Middle East where I live, even when most people here speak Arabic, but this man is really big and unique people get crazy about Michael and it’s different. He was global , I remember when my parents and neighbors heard the news of his death in 2009 they were shocked, everyone was mourning his death, and they never did this for any other artist.
Michael and Freddie Mercury were the biggest legends...
Lilly Kurt Cobain
MJ is #1 and then everyone else
Depends what circle your in, but MJ was on another planet life style and fame wise. no entertainer can even remotely relate or compare. Pop stars like Lady Gaga do eccentric stuff like where a giant taco costume or something, knowing what they're doing is weird and will get attention. Michael was so out of touch social norms he thought building a theme park and hanging out with little kids was normal.
Lilly John Lennon? Robert Plant? Without Led Zeppelin there’s no queen and John Lennon might be the most iconic person of all time except Hitler.
I agree Michael and Freddie were kings and are still.
MJ would have been larger than life even in our era . He was , is and will always be the greatest of all time .

Janel Jones if his third eye was so open why did he use those drugs and painkillers
jay scott it hurts when you SEE but everyone around you can’t, it hurts when you’re misunderstood & being attacked by the media so you cope with drugs I guess
and his skin desease VITILIGO as well as his burned scalp accident had a LOT to do with his pain killer drug use, do your research.
MichaelNicle thank you.
Once every hundred years?! Nope, there's never been someone quite like him! MJ forever!

The conversation at the end about Michael Jackson so spot on. Supply & demand...
"We dance to music, but Michael Jackson made music dance."
