The lake view. You can update the counters in that kitchen using marble contact paper. Looking forward to seeing what you choose.

This was fun! If I were choosing, it would be the unrenovated one that doesn’t have the arch. I know you like that arch, but I think it’s an oddity. And it limits wall space in both of those rooms. Whatever you choose. I know you’ll make it look awesome.😊
Center Point would be my first choice. It's beautifully renovated already. Lake View is obviously the same size but would require some updates and reno projects, not a problem for you however, and would allow you to put your personal touch on the apartment! In addition, you'd be saving money! I'm really torn. I would choose Center Point, but my guess is that you will choose Lake View!
I turn keys in, in the morning. New city, lower rent and nicer community. I’m thrilled. Already looking to improve it.
Number 4. It's a really nice apt. It's cheaper than 4 so you can save. You can also post a kitchen diy rental friendly
I think it’s going to be the Lake View. It may be plain, but you will make it look great while staying in your rent budget.
Lakeview bc you can use all your diy skills to update and the money you save can go towards your future house! I also love the view!!
Lakeview is the best and since you have a diy channel it does give you room for that without breaking the bank. Also, as you've experience, rents go up so it's best to start a more affordable starting point that you can make your own.
The last one with Lakeview. Cheaper... worth to save the money for the next place and get what you really want then. Til then still save some money
The 4th apartment. I think with that one, although is outdated, you can do some diy make it your own and teach us how to do it 😉
Highway Hideaway has 1130 sq ft and is the cheapest in rent. So you get more space for your money. It also includes water and trash. Now Center Point includes internet also. But only had 1056sq ft for 262.00 a month more in rent..... Lake view is 147.00 more in rent than Highway Hideaway with the same sq feet and internet. So if you were going on a budget alone I think you would pick Highway Hideaway. Can't wait to see which one you pick and how you decorate it.
I’m guessing Lake View since it has the 3rd bedroom for an office/craft area and it’s within budget.

Thank you for sharing you journey!! All the apartments had definite potential. My favorite and the one I believe you are leaning towards is the "Lake View". Even though the kitchen and bathroom were outdated, there are so many possibilities for renter friendly upgrades that I know you could do to make it work for you and your boyfriend. Add a bar cart and a buffet/hutch painted white to the kitchen/dining area for storage and additional counter space. You could move the bar cart around on casters so it could act as an island or get tucked away against a wall. You can also cover the counters with a removable material in the color of your choice to liven it up. Can't wait to see what you choose! Good luck!
Hi, I think you will pick the last one. It has a little calming river or whatever it’s called. Money wise I think you may just get that one. Either way if not any of them, maybe you’ll find something closer to what you like better. Good luck.!!!💞

Center pointe place I think you will be happiest but lakeview has pretty much all the same potential and gives you more content lol

I figure you will get the newly renovated apartment but I would get the Lake view because I am a penny pincher and I figure you can diy your way to a sweet apartment. Right?

Have you tried renting a house? I just moved from a 2 bd apartment to a 3 bedroom house with garage and attic for only $300 more than what my apartment was
New to ur channel…WHAT STATE are u IN? I would LOVE those rental prices. In Ca and S NV u can’t get a 1 bdrm for $1200. I want relocate.

I thought it strange that you objected to the "outdated" features of option #3. Think of it as an opportunity to use it for your diys. You would want to "make it your own" and you have content.
Keep in mind that many garage spaces for apartments don't have or have few outlets in them. Also the power that tools would require might blow a fuse.
We hear about your wish list. What about his? Space and what else?
That was definitely a consideration! And I could see DIY potential for all of the apartments!
Also, it was "our" wishlist/requirements list. I'm just so used to saying "I/my" in videos I didn't even realize. We definitely made a joint decision on the apartment we chose!

Lake View...Breaking the bank on a rental is never a good idea...save the money instead!

The kitchen in the second one was way too small. That wouldve been a deal breaker for me.
Get your own space and have your own things. Shacking up never works. You both will be homeless if it doesn't work out. Breaking a lease is the last thing you want to do.
Apartment hunting is so fun but so stressful! I've been in my place for 15 years now and I hope I don't have to move anytime soon!!! My personal pick is #3!! The unrenovated one! Really still beautiful and love the light in that place too! (I bet it's the one you're going to go with)
It was a really stressful experience, I can't believe how many of the places we tried to look at were completely full! But it was fun seeing all the possibilities!
