tbh if you watched creature commandos and applied what James Gunn said while watching it then you'd be super clear on what's cannon. people just trying to make shit complicated for no reason. you'd be missing some context if you hadn't watched suicide squad and some of yall are acting like that small act of watching a movie is a massive amount of research.
Part of me hopes he brings back Captain Boomerang because, well, he's Boomerang and always comes back. Also, he's an important member of the Suicide Squad. Just like Harley, Deadshot and King Shark.
Ask someone who grew up with the fox x men movies. Sometimes the cannon doesn't make sense. The suicides squad peacemaker their cannon ignore the stuff that doesn't make sense.
Nope, that’s part of the DCEU. The DCU’s Superman makes his debut with the 2025 movie (but they said DCU Batman won’t be getting a movie until after Matt Reeves’ The Batman movies are done)
Not really it’s literally… “The Suicide Squad” and “Peacemaker” are mostly canon. Events similar to what happens in those projects happen in the DCU. If something doesn’t line up, that particular thing didn’t happen in the DCU. For example if Gunn brings back Captain Boomerang that means that he wasn’t part of what happened in “The Suicide Squad” and never died.
If that is complicated to you, you are mentally impaired. If you say "The movies were bad I don't want them in the DCU" I understand, but if you really believe it is that difficult you are mentally impaired.
his explanations are actually super easy to follow. if they mention an event in creature commandos then it happened. very cut and dry and doesn't require much more thought than that.
I feel like since the suicide squad had no real connection to the main universe besides actors that it most likely is for the most part canon just maybe changed a slight bit. "An imperfect memory"
“An imperfect memory” is a weird explanation when having multiple characters referencing the same stuff. Honestly it’s all needlessly convoluted *because* Gunn has felt the need to continuously explain & respond instead of just making the projects and letting it all play out before the audience
I have given up on dc. How do you expect me to care about DC when all your focus is in the listen on the list? Characters who nobody knows who nobody cares about? Right? You’re focused on that how about just start with giving us a young Superman and young Batman and established universe that is sustainable.
Do I need to remind you that Gunn made 3 movies about Guardians of the Galaxy, a C tier team at best? It was full of bunch of characters who nobody really cared about and he made them into a household name, everyone knows who they are now.
@ apparently James gunn can only do that like a one trick phony. Even after he’s given the right to use free rein to use any character of DC , to make a good universe , he insists on using d tier characters.
WORST EXCUSE EVER! DUDE, THATS CRAP, THATS GARBAGE, THATS THE WORST LAZY WRITING AS POSSIBLE. The worst part is that James Gun is the best you have, the others doesnt even know the characters to work with them and want to change the few things they know.
Buddy chill it ain’t that serious, second he’s bringing all the stuff that he’s worked on and bringing that over to his universe (since they weren’t that connected to the old one anyway) but don’t think that’s lazy since he’s expanding on what he has done, so far nothing bad, garbage, or trash all really good writing. I don’t know where this is coming from 😭
It’s not complicated at all with the universe. Unless it’s specifically mentioned in the DCU, it only happened in the DCEU (like the dceu exclusive justice league cameo in peacemaker or Margot Robbie playing harley Quinn)
It's really not that complicated. Both the events of "The Suicide Squad" and "Peacemaker" happened in the DCU except the last scene with Miller and Momoa's appearance.
@@experiencelife9234 ok just imagine this. In this universe, you decided to wear a black shirt today. In another universe, you decide to wear red. These two universes could have no other difference other than the color of the shirt you decided to wear. Same thing with DCEU and DCU but flipped, the two are entirely different, the only thing that's similar is the events of TSS and Peacemaker (except for the Miller/Momoa cameo). This doesn't become too confusing because TSS and Peacemaker's story doesn't really connect to the bigger DCEU, so it's easily transferrable to another universe. I don't know if they're gonna recast The Suicide Squad, but even if they do, the same story would've still happened. Like how Classic Loki was played by Richard E. Grant, not Tom Hiddleston, but his Loki lived the exact same life as Prime MCU Loki, except he didn't die in Infinity War.
@@experiencelife9234What’s unclear about it? The events of Suicide Squad 2 are canon to both DCEU and DCU. Everything else from the DCEU is not canon. It shouldn’t be this hard to understand.

Excuses excuses. It’s still homework and still muddled
@@bofawhatsbofa4593watching a singular movie is homework for you? Jesus that's incredibly sad
@@bofawhatsbofa4593by that logic it’s homework to watch something like dune 1 so you can understand dune 2
This’ll make more sense when Peacemaker season 2 drops because Gunn said that show acknowledges the universe change from season 1 to 2.

Henry Cavil Earth 3 Ultraman wouldve been 🔥
I agree
Ask someone who grew up with the fox x men movies. Sometimes the cannon doesn't make sense.
The suicides squad peacemaker their cannon ignore the stuff that doesn't make sense.
You think we’ll see Henry cavil come back as a different character?
Also I want the new Superman movie to be amazing
I'm gonna DL it endlessly and give it away in protest
They should just make a list
No more henry Cavill as Batman and no more ben Affleck as Batman

Love how you’re explaining it and not James gunn
Did you not watch the video? He pulled up an article of Gunn explaining. Use your head

This is pure confusion. How come the same Amanda Waller exist in the new DCU. Gunn made a huge mistake.
