Cool video, I've never seen anyone talking about templates rack before, I have the magic and accurack, the plastic is hard to carry around, it doesn't work after you fold it, i had the accurack folded in my case many times and it still perform perfect
So thin is... quite vague... do you khow the thickness of the Taom rack ? Thank you very much, I am waiting for your answer. I agree with you: too much pressure toward the center is changing (very little though) the direction of balls compared to a normal and tight racking. + The Magic Rack combo set is 0,14mm thick, by the way. + And I am surprised that international competitions are using those rack templates!! ? Where did you buy (or order) your Taom rack?
Sometimes it takes a bit of work but those accuracks will definitely work on old tables and balls as well. One place I play at just got their tables redone so it's not an issue there but the other has some pretty awful Valley tables that I rack well on with no issues there either.
This makes sense on the accurack. I thought it was something with me. But, on new felt my break with it is solid(not SVB level or anything close mind you 😂)and the felt wears my break goes to pure crap. Pool hall just had new felt put on a week or so ago and my break with it started working again. Nice to hear why.
This theory about how potential energy is changing the paths... it all sounds very scientific (and reminds me of renro's claim that his template doesn't "load the balls" the way a magic rack does)... but to be honest, it sounds like made-up physics. Where is the science behind the claim coming from? Is there a sound repeatable experiment where you can prove it? Or some math that supports it? What if a template causes those 2nd row balls to go high because the balls are actually frozen, and the triangle rack you thought was frozen, just has gaps too small to see? Outside of all of that, just as general channel feedback, you should review pool gear on a pool table and show it doing its things.
My question is, how certain are you that the balls sit more Naturally with the Taom vs. the others?? What if taom just cut circles in their template, and the circles are still off to where a part of the circle is pushing the balls to the center the same, just as the other templates? Can you actually see 360 around each hole of the taom and how each ball rest? 🤔
Great question. The taom template rack holes are still cut inwards and not directly under the balls as far as I can tell. So the same principle as the other racks. What makes it different is the hole shape (for consistency) and the thinness. It’s the thinness that causes it to push more gently inwards to the center of the rack. It’s still enough to get the balls tight, but not as much pressure as the other racks.
These templates are terrible albeit they are better than the Accurack which is tops for worst template ever. Of everything I have tried from Taom the only good thing they make is chalk, which is amazing. Their racks are bad and chalk holders are the worst.
@@Drewdownkali so the reality is this: these template are amazing ON GOOD CONDITIONS. The racking area can’t have a lot of divots and should have at least relatively clean cloth and balls. As soon has there’s a divot in the cloth around the racking area, I’ll immediately switch to a magic rack or turtle rack. Their extra thickness counteracts the divots.
Your information is misleading..I have a accurack that is 3 years old and still rack the balls perfectly..Also plastic template racks wear out faster and the balls when broken slide on all plastic racks..
I used the accurack for a couple years on many tables. I like that material the best. Gives the most natural rack. There’s a lot going for it, but consistent isn’t how I would describe it. Table conditions play a factor. I play on a lot of bad tables- so I don’t prefer that rack anymore. 🤷🏻♂️ I see no evidence of balls “sliding” on plastic racks more than they would otherwise. I’ve used the same turtle rack for a long time. There’s markings where the balls come off the rack- yes but that’s true for every rack. Accurack just doesn’t show it cause of the material.

Accurack has a lot going for it- too bad it doesn’t work everywhere.
Great detailed video Sensei! Looking forward to trying this rack in the future

The Accurack is pretty thick as well.
Curious on your thoughts on simply using reinforcements. It's definitely more explosive that a rack racked with the triangle.

I can’t get them to work on old tables, but usually off the center of the spot.
They’re just too much hassle in comparison IMO.

I was gonna get the accurack, but not anymore since I play on crappy tables. Thanks for saving me money!
Glad I can help. You can still get them to work. But you’re better off with a turtle or taom
Great video
Good stuff dude

Slug Doctor Racking System FTW ....... Fixing Slug Racks One Break at a Time !!!!!!!!!
Its nice seeing your face again. …..and you lie. You are a good player.
