  • A new ruling reversed the decision by the Muscogee Nation Citizenship Board that denied Rhonda Grayson and Jeff Kennedy's application for citizenship in 2019.
They're both Creek Freedmen descendants who say the Creek Treaty of 1866 grants them citizenship in the tribe.

I am one of the descendants. My third great-grandmother was a Creek Freedman. Her name was Phillis Hawkins Fife and she was born in Kentucky in 1863. She had two children with her slave owner the son of. an Irishman, William Fife. Somehow Phillis ended up being owned by the Creek and eventually returned to Kentucky and died in 1911. My mother remembers her son who was her grandfather, John Fife.

They have to prove on the roll Dawes that they are muscogee creek native. That’s the native Law by blood!

No they don’t. Records were kept that prove it through ancestry. They documented everything 😂

Follow the Treaties. Honor the Ancestors. People were involuntary brought into the tribes and contributed to the land and tribal nation, descendants are simply honoring what is due to them which is full citizenship in the respective nations their ancestors thanklessly helped thrive. Its called integrity, its called morality, its called traditional indigenous values. Honor the Treaties which strengthens Tribal Sovereignty.

@michaelmawazo Blacks were Creek slaves 4 just 33 yrs, not 244 yrs like slaves 4 whites were. N those 33 yrs, blacks didn't do that much 4 Creeks. Whites grumbled a lot that Indian masters let their slaves slack a lot. Slaves of Creeks were treated better than slaves of whites & every man woman, child & newborn got 160 acres of Indian land 4 reparations. Freedmen stop grumbling

@@michaelmawazo Just wanted 2 give little history no one thought about. Freedmen were only slaves 4 just 33 yrs. Such a short time compared 2 whites slaves, 244 yrs. Every Freedmen family, man, woman, child & newborn each got 160 acres of Indian land & compared 2 whites slaves, they got nothing, just a kick N the rear. Indians did a lot more for Freedmen then whites did.

The tribe should drop this and let them in, treaties have always been upheld by the supreme Court ans this is the first time a tribe doesn't want to follow it, if the tribe wins it will weaken treaty rights because if they can only follow some of it, the government can only follow some of it. Lots of interests in the US want treaties to go away

Indians didn't destroy black Wall Street. White ppl did & they gave 30 million dollars 2 the victims last year. Where U been under a rock? Whites don't even give Indian tribes, no where that much money 4 anything. Whites still owe millions of dollars 2 the Dakota's 4 the Black Hills. Blacks are the most greedy bunch of ppl on this continent. Blacks aren't Indians.

@Effthefbi 3 survivors of the Tulsa race Massacre Receive $1 Million Donation. The last known living survivors of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre received a $1 million donation Wednesday from a philanthropic organization - a substantial sum for the three centenarians more than 100 years after White mobs destroyed their community.

Viola Fletcher, 108, Lessie Benningfield Randle, 107, & “Uncle Red” Ellis, 102, accepted the donation Wednesday afternoon at Greenwood Cultural Center N Tulsa. It was presented by Ed Mitzen, co-founder of New York-based nonprofit Business for Good. Fletcher was 7, when White mobs attacked the Black neighborhood of Greenwood, a thriving business district known as “Black Wall Street.” The massacre killed as many as 300 & displaced more than 10,000 Black ppl. Days after the massacre ended on June 1, 1921, 100's of massacre survivors were rounded up at gunpoint & marched 2 “internment camps,” according 2 survivors’ testimony. No White person was ever arrested or charged.

Mitzen said that he & wife, Lisa, who founded the nonprofit with him, were inspired 2 make the donation after reading about the lawsuit's case 4 repatriation N Washington Post.
Mitzen remember thinking it shouldn't B that hard 2 get some sense of relief 4 what they went through. N some ways, it felt like certain ppl were trying 2 run the clock out. Mitzen is a health care marketing entrepreneur who owned three businesses with a combined revenue of more than $500 million. He said when he & wife sold part of one of his businesses they got more money than they could dream of. We R just trying 2 help some ppl. We R not trying 2 B White saviors or political grandstanders. We just want 2 help.
Okla. state Rep. Regina Goodwin, who represents Greenwood, called the donation “humanity at its best.” On Wednesday, Goodwin accompanied Mitzen on a tour of Greenwood. Mitzen met with the survivors privately before gathering N the Greenwood Cultural Center 4 the presentation of the check.
When the massacre survivors first received news of the donation last week, they were elated, Fletcher’s grandson Ike Howard told the crowd gathered N the center. The gift will B shared among the three survivors.
Howard recalled that his grandmother said, “This is wonderful. It’s the largest donation I’ve ever received in my life. It’s wonderful news.”

The lies that they have told are verified through historical evidence and DNA. We know who the real Native Americans are and what they looked like. Go search for your self and see what they really looked like and why they changed their names to mulatto then to black throughout the census.
