This is Courtz at her finest. Amazing energy, fun and playful. No smut, no innuendo, wholesome and clean, with a fun, high energy song which is impossible to keep still too. I don't know why it isn't already no.1, it's waaaaaaaaaaaaay better than most modern soulless generic songs out there.
Fantastic 🤩. So real, fresh and new, but without forgetting her signature movements and the "Hadwin growl". For me immediately this massage, so here I am, this is me, this is my music and I'm just having fun - Funky 🤩. I also noticed the bass right away and I had to snap along immediately. Loved it 😍. Great reaction HAP 🤩🙋🏻♀️.
Keep em coming Hap. Courtney is letting her fans hear a number of new clips of her upcoming songs. She's now a free bird flying her own route, and doing it well by telling her story with her lyrics. And yes, she hasn't lost her signature moves and sound. She's only adding and maturing her ways and moving on to different things. I think Courtney is showing new artists that they don't need to be told how to do it like they tried to tell her what to do. So maybe, "That girl don't live here" is her way of saying "You can't tell me what to do anymore". Her new song clips certainly seem to be saying something to that affect. Love the rebel in her.
Absolutely loved it! Mix of "old" and "new" Courtney controls and tones down her earlier wild energy to a more mature but still young and authentic version of herself. It's natural to grow, change and progress in life. Therefore most of us can relate and admit the "old us" don't live here anymore :-) It's really nice to see you following and observing those changes in young artists through music. Spot on reaction! 👍😊
I really enjoy Courtney!! She has so much talent and energy and can naturally adapt to whatever song she sings. So much fun to watch. Enjoy her performances alot! Your reaction Hap very enthusiastic! 🎵💜
You should really do a search for Courtney on RUclips, you've missed so much from her it sounds like. Here's her channel, but there's so much more. ruclips.net/channel/UC7teONMQPF1_g3YCv-lEtfQ
Hi Hap . Always love your Courtney reactions. It feels like you're a true believer in Courtney's incredible talent, just like the rest of us. The reason Courtney is dropping so much music now is that she went independent at the start of this year and is in control of her own music. For years, her labels have tried to twist her into something she didn't want to be and she stood her ground. Between that and Covid, it was almost impossible for her to release her original music. Now expect to see a regular dose of new Courtney music, because she has a huge song library and she has shared a number of clips, and they are all sensational. She is such a powerhouse as a songwriter as well as a performer. At least in my interpretation, there were a lot of messages in both this song and video, where all that is going on comes into clearer focus. More on that below, but first, the song!!! Absolutely terrific song by Courtney and the lyrics are brilliant. It has such a good vibe that you can't listen to it and not to want to move with it. It's a complete 360 in style from her first release, 'Breakable', which was a beautiful ballad, and just serves as a reminder that Courtney can sing just about anything and be great at it. If it wasn't Courtney singing, and you weren't aware of the incredible vocal versatility she has, you'd be surprised that both of these songs could come from the same artist. I love how so many people view Courtney as this hard core, full out, stage dominating rocker, and then when she releases her own music, she leads with a sensational gritty ballad (Breakable), and follows it up with an uptempo, jazzy song that has the feel almost of 1940's Swing. (That Girl Doesn't Live Here). Not only is the song fabulous, but the video is a work of art and perfect for the song. Back to my interpretation of the video/song and the messages there. First, Courtney is singing about, among other things, no longer being that 13 year old girl everyone fell in love with on AGT, and which a core group of fans want her to remain, which of course is impossible. Courtney, with her incredible creativity, used that theme to drive the video, in such a unique way. Past/young Courtney sees new/current Courtney in the video and follows her through the closet/looking glass into a whole new world, in this case Wonderland (from Alice in Wonderland). Secondly, for the last four plus years, the labels have tried to tell Courtney what she should be. Courtney stood her ground and said 'No'. Fortunately for all of us, she did, because no one else makes music like Courtney does. IMO, at the beginning of the video, when someone comes to the door asking her to sign something and she turns them away, this represents the labels, with whom she is done with. Now that the labels are gone, she has released two fantastic originals in the last month several months. Lastly, when all the paparazzi come to the door and she turns them away, she is saying that to be able to release the kind of music I love is more important than the possible fame if I have to sell out to get it. So buckle up. Can't wait to hear you reacting to all of Courtney's original music that is coming down the pipeline. It's going to be fabulous.
In the beginning of the video the guy with the pen and paper I assume was the record company wanted to try to get her back that girl don't live there anymore
Courtney will be 19 in July and appears to be charting her own course with skills more unique than others. She has played some snippets of other originals but has not yet revealed which one will be her next complete song. Look forward to your next Courtney reaction whichever it is.
Yes, that funk sound you hear is the bass and I absolutely love it. Courtney is amazing and doing a fabulous job with her new music and videos. I love this video it had so many messages within it. Plus I love the song and I can just listen to it over and over and watch the video over and over and learn something new. But I love her moves and I honestly hope that she never loses that style oh, it is so unique to her and I have loved that about her from the moment I saw her on AGT the first time!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Courtney is one of those Artists that are and will be forever Timeless!!! And I enjoy your Reaction Videos, keep up the good work!!!
Have you left Courtney's rabbit hole? She has released 3 more songs - "Call me Back" (a heartbreaking ballad), "Monsters" (an often quoted "very profound" composition that skilfully jumps between different genres worldwide (my personal favourite) and "Christmas Rocks" (her personal perception/celebration of Christmas that will sweep any listener off their feet and make them want to dance). I hope all is well with you and look forward to hearing more about Courtney. Best wishes from Germany
Great reaction! Courtney herself mentioned Amy Winehouse when speaking of what she wants to do. FUN FACT: Courtney says "Amy Winehouse" at 6:53 of this recording of a Howie Mandel podcast from late 2021: ruclips.net/video/AgDJbKfEFq4/видео.html and you first say it at 6:54 of this reaction🤣🙃😅
👋 hi great to see you've stayed the distance in supporting Courtney, remember when you first started with her, hard to handle .thankyou ,remember 29th it's "monsters day " see you later 😊😊😊😊
