This was my first-ever BJJ tournament match, and I locked in a rear naked choke in just 40 seconds against Mason Siegler (23) from The Rock Jiu Jitsu Team. He was newer to training, and I capitalized on that with a quick finish.
At 40 years old, I train at 10th Planet Colorado Springs and cut 8 lbs to make 146 for this event. Competing against guys half my age? No problem! One opponent was 17-I joked my tattoo is older than him… and has seen combat twice! 😂
