I do buy a lot of pens direct from Japan but I really don't know if they'd service one in the US. I may have just gotten lucky with the 95S being the domestic version. If you have an experience either way I'd love to hear about it.
Those packing labels are likely heat transfer labels. heat or quickly rubbing with a hard object will pull ink out of the label and black it out better. I can still read under the marker.
