@mattlward2867 It's easily my favorite piece ever. Over even what I've composed myself. There is a music video version on RUclips if you are interested.

I've came along this song years ago, and always felt that I'm somehow connected to it spiritually. Today, I found it again and understand why I was connected to it. 20th of November is the day my father passed away. This song really wraps your soul.
When I first found this song, I was in a dark place. Admittedly, it did not help. The eerie, melancholic keen at the start of the piece became the anthem of my sorrow. The violins felt fleeting, and sad under the grandeur. Like the last frame of a sad movie. I found myself in a similar sorrow. In my lament I decided to listen to that which had cradled my misery. To my surprise, this time I was carried out of the bog of my own making, flying upon the wings of strings, as I was uplifted by a song that now sounded like hope. Swiftly the melody escapes the heft of the first somber notes, building from the darkness instead of spewing from it. The power of music to mean two different things to the same person, separated only by time.
Selkiara, your writting is incredible. Liked it so much that i'd love for you to share your opinion about what the author is trying to convey and express with this piece. Would you mind sharing your thoughts?
@@anthonyricord It will take me some time alone with the song to figure that out. Even then I cannot tell you what it means to anybody else. I can tell you what it means to me, and what I suspect it was meant to convey. Art, however, is unique in that most art lacks objective truth, especially music. Whatever an artist may intend, that intention only lasts until somebody else witnesses their work. From there meaning mutates. Each and every time a piece of art is enjoyed, the experience is different. As I said, I hear both sorrow and hope in this piece. Like somebody who is worldweary pressing on through the pain and coming out to the other side of it stronger and more fulfilled. I hear the story of somebody carrying on through a tragedy, growing from it, and learning to stand on their own two feet again on the other side. That is my personal takeaway. To know what the artist intends I would likely need to ask, or search for an official comment. The name of the song gives us a hint. November. Likely something happened in November that inspired this piece.
All of your work represents some of the highest masterpieces I've ever heard, but "November" and "Sarajevo" are something so beautiful I don't even have words for it. Thank you and congratulations for your work, which for me is extraordinarily beautiful to hear.

His music cut straight into my soul... like a strain of light into happiness or like a sharp knife into the dark. One thing is clear; his music always move me in one direction or the other. To be neutral is impossible.
@@sneezomcsneezy1074 just watching it. Seems to be good. Also one of my favorite actors is part of his one. Lars Eidinger, who also Persian Lessons and Babylon Berlin TV series. Both I can highly recommend.
@@sneezomcsneezy1074 well this movie was kinda weird. This beautiful music of Richter introed the movie for a short time just to be heard at the final credits. Other than music / soundtrack wasn't very impressive. The beginning was more of promising drama. I am ambigous about the rating of the full movie.
I'm not making this up for attention: I was listening to this on the day of the Mexico City earthquake, September 17th. Just as the climax of the song was building, the earthquake alert started sounding. I immediately tossed my earphones aside and ran as everything around me started shaking. It was an incredibly haunting experience.
I can picture a huge forest, as i go thru the forest, i can see a castle, thru a window of the tallest tower down the stairs, thru the doors, thru the hallway till I reach the basement there is a coffin. It's like a beginning of a 2 hour movie playing in my head.
