I hope one day to work for Sips' R&D lab. Once they got their hardware project done they then got an extra 3mil for sitting on their asses the next month. What a fantastic job that would be.
For the longest of times I was curious about what the % during game development was related to, for example Engine (58%). I eventually started to ignore them completely, particular when it became apparent you couldn't include features everyone would expect to be common to a certain game type. These games would go on to produce decent scores, even a few perfect tens, only to add to my confusion even more. Eventually, I ignored them and simply included features I thought would be expected to that game type.... So seeing Sips keeping that number above 100%, on everything, made me even more curious to what that number represents! After some research I was able to find an answer to this curiosity: Every time a feature is included to the game it generates a number of bonus tech and design points to the end results. Include too many features and the number of additional points being generated by these features is reduced. The percentage informs us how much of the bonus points are being lost, so we can better assign more time to these features in order to squeeze out every bonus point. In future playthroughs of this game I will stick to a 90% target. An additional feature that grants 100 points, but costs 50 points to purchase, is still 50 bonus points! Added: One of the things that did make me sad was to learn that the name of the feature is completely meaningless. While it does mean we are not penalized for leaving out a feature that might seem 'required,' I bet most players select the features entirely on name like I did. That means our inclusion of 'better game experience' into every game, based entirely on the concept of 'who doesn't like a better experience', was pointless!!!
2:30 i just realized what has never been done before. A UFO Simulation game. I'm talking the full fluxliner rotating mercury, pivoting gravity amplifiers, the whole shibazzle. There's ofc space simulation games, set in the future, with warp drives and hyperjump etc, but even those ALL rely on basic aviation principles of big engines in the back to provide chemical thrust. All of them. Not a single simulation game that i've ever seen actually tries to simulate a form of spacecraft that operates on different methods and concepts. It's always the same old forward thrust by engines in the back model, even in star wars or star trek.
You have to put more than one type of graphics system into your game if you don't want a full bar so that you can take it up or down as you please and swap between say v3 and v4. Not that you'll read this but..
I don't play this, but I was wondering... How old is Brian???? Does he age? I mean he's been at it for 30+ years now... will he retire or die in game? Or can you just keep on playing forever? I need to know cause I am starting to get emotionally attached!
Once you hit a point it says that you can keep playing but nothing new will come out, so it gets incredibly boring. If he started game design in his twenties he'd only be in like his fifties by that point, so no worries.
Jayden at least has one really good stat that he can focus on for training. Firing Xavier would be a good decision in the long run, because A) Xavier has bad stats (Not even one above 300!) and would be a big waste, and B) I cringe every time I hear him say "Zav-yay"

SIPS PLAY ENDERAL! It's a beautifull skyrim mod with a new world, story, voice acting and a bunch more! It's english version just came out and since you enjoyed skyrim so much i'm sure you will enjoy this also!!!!
I would guess v1 is either untextured polygonal or 2.5D with sprites, v2 is hardware accelerated plogonal, v3 would perhaps be post processing, and v4 real time simulation. I suppose that leaves v5 in the nebulous future as real time raycasting is as far as we currently got.
i dont get why the oya sticks around in this game as a console, or even why they put the ipad and iphone when they share same app store but they dont add android what actually is a different platform
