    Hi Kirk, do you know if this will fit in overhead compartment for Rex regional flights (saab340) and QLink (dash8/q400)? I fly a lot for work between Sydney and Griffith and this is the decider for me if I’ll buy 935 or go a Shimoda backpack. Cheers

      Good question. I’m not 100% sure but I’d probably look at the dimensions of the 935 and see if it matches up with the Airlines measurement guides. Although, I believe they’ve made the case to standard cabin issue. What your comparing to, is a very different experience though, being a backpack. So depends on how you want to use the bag. One thing I will note, is that the 935 is quite heavy, leaving not much weight space for gear unless you can go over the usual limit. The pelican 1510Air is definitely worth a consideration and has more internal space too

    What did you use for attachment clips? it looks vaguely like paperclips, just straightened out.

    • @DesignedbyKirk
      @DesignedbyKirk  Год назад +1

      That’s right! Pretty much just cut up paper clips and used those

    This is awesome! What is under all the gear? Foam or rubber mat?

    • @DesignedbyKirk

      Same adhesive I used for the padding on the corflute board! Adhesive foam! Thin, and works great

      They’re just paper clips I think. Got them from my local office supply store

    I just got this, and I was really shocked by how heavy it was empty - Wow! I don't know what the weight is, but it must be almost 20 lbs. I'm scared to see what it will weigh when I fill it up. Good thing it has wheels.

      Yeah the Pelican 1535 air is noticeably lighter and has a tonne more room to play with as well, something to consider for the future!

      @DesignedbyKirk the 1535 has more room than this?

    Kirk based in Melbourne, this is Guy based in Adelaide. Have you tried the evolution cases? I like my nanuk enough, but I want to support Aussie business.

      I'm not sure mate. They look good and have great ratings. I'm going to pick one up as part of my lens kit. If I can recall I will let you know.

    Do you remember the height you made the dividers? I've bought the case but it doesn't arrive until next week. I'm ordering the flute board now and they offer a cut to size service. Thanks for the vid!

    That's nice! But what's funny (not) - I can't find these plastic boards anywhere. Like they don't exist in Europe and only are used in America :D

    Your title says this is about a DIY Trekpak and NOT a what’s in my camera bag! Very deceptive title! I turned off your video!!!

    • @DesignedbyKirk
      @DesignedbyKirk  Год назад

      oh no! please come back lmao.... there's nothing in the title that says this was a how to guide. The title states exactly what you get, a showcase of Easy Camera Gear organisation, in a Nanuk 935, with my DIY TrekPak (Which I do actually showcase how I do it)
