When we were expecting a better “Advanced AI”, we were met with the most broken characters to deal with, alongside an anti-climatic ending no one would’ve asked for.
I mean it wouldn't be a hello neighbor game if it didn't start off really promising early in development and then slowly degrade over the course of its development cycle like a grandparent in the hospital
I like how they described it while it was breaking down on them; "Like doing an interview with a somewhat boring person who is doing a very hard job trying to impress you, and then by the end you can see diarrhea trickling down their legs"
I have NEVER in my life heard Pastra sound SO pissed at the Silent Hill 2 remake for the upcoming movie than the FNaF lore stream with him arguing with Phil about the toy animatronics being possessed or not, but it was kinda funny ngl
This had to be one of my most favorite streams Phil has ever done. Funy game jank, Cocaine Bear, Pastra losing his crap to Silent Hill, and an actualy almost decent game this time around that keeps you engaged till the end.
You know what makes me sad? This team had more than 2 times to prove they can make a good horror puzzle game, but then the green came across them, and they fucked it up, human greed it truely evil.
@@pormpfspimperton6804Well from what I discovered, Steel Wool is in the credits because they made the DLC for Hello Neighbor 2, not the base game, which was made by a different development team.
I literally just finished rewatching the HN streams yesterday, and now this is uploaded! Also the moment this video opens with is the second best moment from the stream - with the best moment being Phil's dating advice, of course. Third best if we're gonna do rule of threes is Pastra's reaction to the ending probably. Also the talking about Silent Hill was great. Honestly this is just one of my favorite streams of yours all around
This hits hard considering the video Pastra made and Phil streaming this. Still can't believe how this game came out. Hello Crow was the only good thing until TinyBuild stepped in again. They had love from Fgteev, FusionGamerz and many others I can name but choose not to. AND LOOK HOW IT CAME OUT. A game that can be compared to Security Breach and to the first game.
The fact that this game still had a chance to be good even before it was released is so sad. There was a cool concept for a hello neighbor 2 and then it was scrapped and turned into this.
Theodore Petterson is surely the silliest man alive, I still can't believe Steel wool worked on this game I'm glad this stream got a highlight video, I wonder what awaits us on the next one
Man I heard to go for a mediocre ending if you unsure because a shitty ending will bring down an entire story, or something along those line, and this game confirms that to me.
I have been here for the rise and fall of Hello Neighbor then watched it fade into obscurity and forgot about it. Genuinely didn't know there was a sequel till today.
It would've been really funny if phisnom knew about the false advertising tinybuild did for this game. The game they advertised 2 years ago is totally diferent than what the game is now, like completely different. That's the main reason why the game has so many bad reviews on steam...
It's sad that they didn't include the parts where they actually felt like they had to give the game credit early on, some things they kinda liked and the general feeling of "this is okay". It made the ending hit that much harder. XD
Their expectations of this game were low enough to be ground-level, and Hello Neighbor 2 found a way to *clip under the map* and plummet into the abyss. Oh boy.
Had this thought on a very different video, but: Steel Wool used the same basic set up for Hello Neighbor 2 as they did for Security Breach... Here is this 'open world' playground, where people/things are going to try and chase you down, but it's all divided up into sections ruled over by individual entities that basically just try to chase you around their little section of the map...
You and pastra NEED to play Doki Doki Literature Club! It's my favourite horror game and it'd be great to see you two play it! I laughed so much at this video so I'd laugh so much at that game!
Despite the backlash, I personally enjoyed this game. And I feel like after patch 8, the game's stability and the overall gameplay and environment changes made it better. Apparently they're adding "The Guest" (which was what Hello Neighbor 2 was originally going to revolve around, hence the name 'Hello Guest') in a later update. I'm excited to see how it affects the game.
Why do games nowadays tend to go in such harsh routes, showing promise but direction changes to either a new style or shorter deadline. It's like suddenly playing dominos on top of a half finished house of cards.
