Great video. One of the best I've seen. In focus. Good lighting. No wasted movements. Good camera angle. Torque specs and wrench sizes were good additions. Didn't have to wait for you to find parts and tools. No harsh music or useless talking or profanity. Very well done. Very professional. Keep safe.
Thanks for the feedback 😄👍🏼
always loosening the oil-filling bolt first, that is to make sure it isn't damaged after you draining out all the oil
👍🏼 Never did this way for over 20 years 😅 but I will do next time
Not necessary to remove CVT cover! Simply remove the bottom bolt of the shock absorber. It will easily swing out of the way to allow removal of all 3 bolts. Always remove the fill bolt FIRST. I use a pump oil can to fill it - works great

👍👍
Mahalo!
Hey Mitch, got a question... I don't know if it would be the same on scooters as it is on motorcycles, I'm sure it is but lately I've actually changed the way I've done oil changes in that I just crack the fill nut (since if the fill nut is frozen no use in cracking the drain nut and draining out because if you cannot remove the fill nut you're going to be in big trouble). I don't unscrew the fill nut, I next remove the drain nut doing it this way the oil doesn't come shooting out but more like a dribble, then remove the fill nut once I have my catch can underneath to allow the oil to flow more readily since there is no longer a small vacuum in the system. Just a curious if that would the same for scooters?? Great detailed video as always... 👍👍👍
Sorry for the late reply Ron! That's good tip to do fill nut / cap first to be safe... I never really do that over 20 years haha... but from on now, I should do this new way :)
@@MitchsScooterStuff No problem Mitch... us old dogs can always learn something new now and then... 😂😂😂

Why don't use oil 85w140
Honda Rcm final drive oil:10w30 Jaso T903:MB or MA.
API SG or higher.
See comment below ...
Why do you use engine oil for the transmission? Isn’t this a mistake? We know that transmission oil is different from engine oil and its viscosity is much higher.
Honda recommended engine oil, same with other models and Suzuki say same thing for Burgman 400.
I am a honda fan. I have owned 4 motorcycles over my life and all of them have been Honda. However, that fill hole that you had such a hard time getting the bolt out of is one of the worst cases of engineering I have ever seen. There is no excuse for that massive engineereing failure. However, at the same time, Honda makes a great product. Wish they had thought that one fill hole through a little better.
Right!! I was like oh come on Honda, design better than this!! haha
