IT'S SOOO FLUFFY...still makes me smile. 😁
I saw this movie on a whim in the movie theater for free since I was working there. I had no friends, my band broke up, so mentally I was pretty mad at the world. It's trailer though was funny so even though animated films weren't really my thing anymore in my late 20's I gave it a chance. It's scenes of going to the fair with the FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN song playing and the character's bring out the fun side of Gru and enjoying life and spending time with people and appreciating children's innocence really helped get me out of a rut and made me want to try to socialize with people and do things again.
I watched this as a grown adult and I had a blast with this, even though Russel Bland is in it.
So many good laughs. Great humour, looking forward to seeing what you think of the second film. :)
Right now there are two sequels, then the spinoff _Minions_ which had its own sequel this summer.
I haven't seen the third one, but of the others I liked this one the best. Great characters, great story, great animation, and very entertaining all throughout. I still say "Lightbulb!" when I get an idea 😄

There's 5 movies, the fifth one is currently in theaters,there are 2 despicable Me movies and minions movies which are prequels to despicable me.the 2nd minions movie( overall the 5th in the franchise) Is currently in theaters. Despicable me 4 is currently in theaters

I like this Franchise, but mostly only because the Girls are my favorite characters in this Series and i like seeing every scene that involves them.

There's a little dark history behind the (doll) head in the bed scene. SPOILER alert, in the movie The Godfather, there is a scene where The Godfather sends someone to make a deal with a snobby movie director/producer. When the man refuses, he wakes up the next morning with his sheets covered in blood, and finds his priced $60k stud horse's head in the bed. The scene gets darker, when they snuck a real horse head from a dog food company, in place of the fake one. The man's screams are the actual actor's.
I'm don't know Spanish, but when I looked it up I read it translates to: "You have the face of a bull."
I'm rather glad I found this channel. The generational take on things is really interesting, and I've come to appreciate group reactions recently. You've got quite the variety on your channel, it's honestly a little exciting to look at, lol. I don't know about the minions side of things, but I really enjoy Despicable Me 2 quite a bit. Loved the first one; Gru is a great character and the girls are so adorable. However you feel about minions these days, they're great in this.

Really good pick, this franchise practically shaped my childhood lol. Seeing Gru stumble through the adoption and finding a way to make it work is so heartwarming.
Any plans on reacting to the other Karate Kid movies? They're pretty solid and the Cobra Kai series only enhances them further. Would love to see y'all get into it.

I thought this movie is just meh and that was one of reason why I never watched it, then I did it is really great movie and I should have watched it earlier (I watched "Rise of Gru" because of the friend and loved it and decided to watch whole series.
By the way Vektor is parody of Bill Gates. And there are lot more easter eggs in movie like you could seen Mona Lisa among stuff Gru stole and similar easter eggs.
You watched rise of gru before the other movies...
