@11:20, the two props that came off have screws which thread opposite to the rotation of the motors, hence why they back themselves out over time. It seems this affects the screw attached props more versus the nut attached props. But, if anybody here is an older geezer, like myself lol, you may remember having CW and CCW motors which had reverse threaded bolts on the two motors to counteract the loosening of the prop nut.
Can't great around on light frames. So many add arm braces to help a lil. Without arm braces over 80% throttle my lightweight 5" wobbles and pulls up and left. I'm trying to tune it out. And think I'm going to add the arm braces. But mine meant for cruising long range. Though I want it to be able to have fun on a Lipo
Such a fun day. I can’t believe it found it’s way all the way down to the one tiny little puddle of water at the bottom. 😂 BTW, after it dried off, everything still worked. 👍
adding throttle expo helps an overpowered quad feel more manageable while not taking away from the top end/ top speed. if you do it in betaflight, make sure to change the throttle expo centered at 0 throttle, not the default centered at 50%.
I built a few of these style quads (dry weight is 140g), and the trick is 86-91% throttle clip, throttle mid 0, and a throttle expo of 0.1. Also make sure to use longer M2 screws on the motors than stock to keep the props on! That is a pretty awesome frame!
I feel your pain drew. Sorry for your loss. When I'm about to lose a sneeze, I turn my face to the brightest part of they sky, or ceiling for that matter. Works more often than not.

Wait what? Then I unintentionally broke those laws for quite some time now. Whoops. But honestly, why does this hobby need to be regulated so heavily? So annoying...
As far as I know, there is a 2 year transition phase. All drones need a CE lable and so on. The hobby will get very expensive, if you have to make a drone drivers license. And then in a few years, no child is interesed anymore in building his/her own drone. No knowledge is gained in electronics and physics. So sad ...
I dont really understand the remote ID thing, does the quad have to transmit the users ID and is that done with the flight controller or like another component to stick on the drone. If you need to find a way to get the drone to transmit this signal then for people like me who have built their drone from scratch then how does that work, would we also need to add an extra transmitter and program it to output our ID or would you be able to buy an ID transmitter that you just give power to and then it just works. Basically what im asking is do we need to program the flight controller to output this remote ID or can you buy a remote ID box and just plug it in.
The lightweight stuff I've been messing with always needs the idle speed dropped. The power and flight time is cool but you don't drop nearly as fast as you'd expect. So drop the idle or go to 4" props and it feels really really close to 5".

wonder how this would do as a long range quad with 2s 18650s. also the fc might not like the lower voltage of them as cutoff for li ions is 2.8-2.5v but you would get over 2x the energy in watt hours compared to both the lipos on the website.
