- Today we get to check out Neal Foster's 44 ST Contender from Intense Pro Fishing. This Contender is powered with quad 425 hp Yamaha outboards. This is the biggest model offered by Contender to date and is rigged for serious tournament fishing. This boat has two livewells across the transom and 8 tuna tubes.

Still a lot of weight but the transom is massive and is probably reinforced with dense foam making it plenty ridig.
Yeah that was definitely one of the thickest transom I’ve seen!
I always knew salt water vessels had strong engines, but when the Black Max 150's came out for fresh water I thought that was really something. No way could my mind at that time imagine 4 425's on a boat, even for salt water. I bet that was one heck of a ride!
Yeah it was pretty crazy! I saw a boat there that had six 600 hp Mercury’s on it!

Or just skip anywhere in 50 ft. Range and go straight to 62 ft.😂
