I never really watched much Minecraft RUclips, but hearing you talk about seeing Stampy's house in that tutorial world just hit me. You did a great job with this. Keep making stuff.
i still play this edition after not playing it for 3 years because i thought minecraft bugrock edition was great but after a few months ago i got console edition and it was so nolstaigic
i find it so cool i relate to your minecraft story too, i got the game on my ps3 super slim back in 2014 august and made so many psn friends where we would just play survival and pvp worlds from other friends. i do agree that console edition has a charm no other minecraft has and if only ppl still played these :(
I started on ps3, and later moved to ps4. I had tons of fun and when they changed it to bedrock for the ps4, I just stayed until the nether update came out because I hated bedrock. I then made a survival world and worked on it for about a year and a half but the problem was that my base was so expanded on being there forced me to 15 fps pretty much non stop. Then for some reason my microsoft account got perma logged out and I've just recently bought minecraft for the pc and now I'm so used to bedrock I just can't play Java for long. I guess it's because bedrock feels more like the console feeling I had before. I still have my ps4 survival, but have yet to convert it to my pc I don't know if I will.
I miss these days of playing with my friends from my primary school, i always used to play creative mode and build statues n stuff, recently i became more of a survival player since it's more fun lol.
I’m a Java player through and through, been playing since around 2011 on and off. But damn, I definitely had some good times on the Xbox version. For the most part, I didn’t actually own the game so could only play the tutorial world, but I honestly loved exploring it and finding all of the weird hidden things (I think there were music disks scattered around? They were fun to get) - and sometimes the entirely tutorial map would completely change, giving me so much more stuff to explore! But that destroyed wooden house always stayed there :) good times. Enjoyed the video, was very nostalgic!
I've been playing Minecraft for 10 years. I fr really started playing the first version of Minecraft on Xbox360 and yes even mcpe lite I've played that for 3 days or so . Then McBe and then Java. Minecraft is really something you really add a music to it and Ur brain goes crazy like a banger on a cool radio station with a man spitting some bars
Something that can add to your survival worlds is the Ambient Sounds mod. Instead of adventuring across a soundless plane, you can hear cave noises, rushing of water, chirping of birds in day, crickets at night, etc. It's a client-side mod, so you can still have a vanilla world if you want to :D
My journey started with me watching stampy on RUclips xbox 360 then my mum noticed i was watching it alot it was close to my birthday so i got it as a early birthday gift and the rest was history i played for a few years and got ps3 edition and now got xbox one edition
This was just beautiful to watch, everything about this video is just on point and true, from the old minecraft youtubers, the map packs and the gameplay itself.
For everyone that wants to play Minecraft Bedrock with the nostalgic feeling of Legacy edition search on RUclips, “Project 4JD-UI” It is a custom UI pack that makes It look exactly like the Legacy edition
Wait. Skydoesminecraft did the mario video damn. I forgot that he made that. I loved that series. Also nicely edited vid, came in my recommended i think this hit the algorithm.
My first game I ever played was minecraft, which is apparently surprising to many, and the specific version was when I visited my cousin and they had xbox 360 edition which I instantly fell in love with. After that I played a ton of PE until my birthday when I got my own copy of xbox 360 edition. I still revisit my world which has so many memories and milestones (First time beating ender dragon, first time getting diamonds, etc). There is just such a charm about that version that no other version has been able to replicate and I personally attribute this charm to 4J Studios as they were able to make unique things about the game such as the tutorial worlds.
i played minecraft on a super slim then it broke and years later i got a ps3 again then my brother sold it for 10$ and then i got it for my wii u and i still play it on my wii u
Tbh, as soon bedrock exist, i choose to stay in the Minecraft console edition Xbox one. I play that game literally everyday. I creat my world's, remake other games into my Minecraft, and still love it so much. And, I'm also GLAD that it's stopped updating because, if they continue to update the Minecraft console editions, then they may made it worse. So I think it's a good idea that the Minecraft console editions stay at it's glory version. But a little small features would be cool like, different breed dogs, Npc villager and camera (from educational edition), and a few more. But yeas, the Glorious version of Minecraft is just as right as it is right now. Heck, this version doesn't has strict rules right now, where Microsoft made Mojang put a ridiculous amount of unreasonable rules they added to bedrock and java edition. But the glory Minecraft edition doesn't, so yas! I "miss" Minecraft console editions, but I really do play it every single day. It's pretty much the only game I play!
I would argue that the Legacy Console editions are a completely different game compared to their Java and Bedrock counterparts. It just feels good to play on. The UI is responsive and intuitive (looking at you Bedrock), the controller support is top notch, and it had its own dedicated Mini-Games that wasn’t tied to some server. It’s such a shame Legacy got shafted only to be replaced by an inferior version, with issues so plentiful I could write an entire script just talking about them.
Can't believe you forgot about the Glide gamemode, absolute criminal. What kind of menace do you have to be to forget about that 1x1 hole shortcut that entire lobbies would try and fail at on Glide map 1?
Legacy player here, yes the game is good, but I recommend staying away from players they are Unbelievably toxic and just plain bout scumbags, play it with friends if you want but stay away from other players
As someone who has played legacy edition on the PS4, I don't understand how people can play bedrock, I remember getting Minecraft legacy edition for my birthday back in 2016 I didn't know how to play so my parents helped me since my mother knew how to play, I remember making a friend on legacy edition we would play every day however unfortunately I lost access to my psn account since it's linked to an email my mother made and forgot the password to it's been 4-6 years since I last spoke to him I remember my old worlds and we would play battle mini games alot and he would brag about how he has the new dlc maps for battle mini games lmao, legacy edition is probably the best version to play besides java. I'd highly recommend you check this legacy edition if you haven't played it, and there is still an active community on it ^^
i joined minecraft late, in 2016, but my first edition was ps3, unfortunately in 2020 i moved out and couldnt play it anymore, but now i have a wii u and i wanna make content around that eidition
MY GUY KNOWS II LET'S GO. ok besides that, I agree, Legacy is superior, it feels more fun even though I have a little more memories and friends on bedrock, there's a weird thing that makes me like legacy over bedrock and java. W Video
Legacy console edition is far better than Bedrock as it currently is. I play java now, but if I had to go back to console for any reason I'd choose to play legacy console over Bedrock, even though there's no cross-play, or servers, or realms, or content since 1.14. Legacy console just had such an amazing feel compared to the cheap mobile game that is Bedrock edition.
I used to have an xbox 360 and rent a minecraft xbox 360 edition disc from my strange library downtown. Then we got an xbox one and threw the xbox 360 away not knowing it would be useful in the near future when my xbox one started cracking up.
I started back on Xbox 360 edition in 2012 and remember the old tutorial world. Xbox one edition was the ultimate edition and loved it. Then the bedrock I hated at the beginning in 2017 because of input delay and graphics were poor. But now I actually like the bedrock edition and is fine for all my minecraft needs. Now I'm waiting for xbox series x enhancements for minecraft bedrock edition
Very nice video! The first edition I played was Xbox 360 edition but I used it for creative and for the built in mini games that I would play with my friends! Unfortunately bedrock has no built in mini games you have to pay for them.
I hated when I payed 20$ for one of my favorite games of all time, and then it all got fucked up by Microsoft and mojang and now I have a 7$ shitty mobile port on my ps4,I dread the day when the battle mini game servers get shut down );.

I never really watched much Minecraft RUclips, but hearing you talk about seeing Stampy's house in that tutorial world just hit me. You did a great job with this. Keep making stuff.
i still play this edition after not playing it for 3 years because i thought minecraft bugrock edition was great but after a few months ago i got console edition and it was so nolstaigic
i find it so cool i relate to your minecraft story too, i got the game on my ps3 super slim back in 2014 august and made so many psn friends where we would just play survival and pvp worlds from other friends. i do agree that console edition has a charm no other minecraft has and if only ppl still played these :(
I had ps vita edition and the point about building on your world is honestly so true.
Walter jr lowkey cooking
Watching this a year late LMAO, but this is sick dude!!
I still have my ps4 survival, but have yet to convert it to my pc
I don't know if I will.
I still play Battle minigame to this day, It’s my favorite!
I just remember playing xbox360 and wii u editions with my sister...nostalgia
I have a lived in survival world that I still play on months later, I'm currently working on a small scale castle for my wither fight
My journey started with me watching stampy on RUclips xbox 360 then my mum noticed i was watching it alot it was close to my birthday so i got it as a early birthday gift and the rest was history i played for a few years and got ps3 edition and now got xbox one edition
8:31 after you said "and" I got an add that said "rise" and other stuff best timing ever
This was just beautiful to watch, everything about this video is just on point and true, from the old minecraft youtubers, the map packs and the gameplay itself.
For everyone that wants to play Minecraft Bedrock with the nostalgic feeling of Legacy edition search on RUclips, “Project 4JD-UI” It is a custom UI pack that makes It look exactly like the Legacy edition
ok nerd but no one asked
I remember playing the demo version of minecraft on xbox 360 i used to play the crap out of the tutorial world
The tutorial world ruled
2:02 i aint crying from hearing that again after multiple years, you are
i have a similar experience i had minecraft on the ps3 that belonged to my brother but he sold it back in 2017 to a game store
doesn't this bring back memories, what I would give to go back and relive it
Tbh, as soon bedrock exist, i choose to stay in the Minecraft console edition Xbox one.
Same here man I just can't do bedrock
that’s nice :)
The same with me I won't put my world into bedrock edition oops bedrock? Glitch edition
Ya I grew up on the vita and 360 version of Minecraft and even to this day I still rather play the old console versions then modern Minecraft.
This is 100% relateable. The new Microsoft managed version is meh + microtransactions.
9:49
That’s a very... interesting photo you used there.. you sure they’re just a friend?
...
Legacy console edition was the only edition of Mincraft I returned to more than two times.
I still play this version of my Xbox 360 Slim manufactured in 2012.
i still play ps3 minecraft instead of ps5 minecraft it just feel great like cozy
Your hate for Bedrock Edition is the funniest and most relatable thing to me ever- 🤣
TRUTH
There was normal multiplayer just like MC realms, but it was complicated to get there
@@loliconenjoyer9770 I know. I never said there wasn't.
I can’t with the introduction though- 🤣
Good to see i wans't the only one eho made objects show in minecraft
It’s way better than bedrock and that’s a fact, it’s even on 1.12 the best minecraft version ever.
On Xbox it’s 1.12 on other platforms it’s 1.13 and pseudo 1.14
5:43 was the moment I knew you were the best RUclipsr ever
Anyone else still have there long term survival world still on legacy console
When i used Legacy Edition, i was using the craft table but was very confusing to me
I wanna go back
Very nice video! The first edition I played was Xbox 360 edition but I used it for creative and for the built in mini games that I would play with my friends! Unfortunately bedrock has no built in mini games you have to pay for them.
I miss playing the Wii U Edition Minigames
Me too!
Also, is there a way to "hack", mod, or customize stuff in Minecraft Xbox one edition? Really want to try the command block, or barrier
As someone who's only played monecraft on 3da and legacy it kind of get sad and I feel left not being able to get new updates
Nintendo 3ds edition feels like ported bedrock edition
My first ever 360 game was minecraft legacy edition
If you go 4m blocks far from spaen then minecraft bedrock blocks started to become like air
You might like the Legacy4J mod for Java Edition
i am working on collecting all the legacy versions - i still need PlayStation 3 and 4 editions and the Nintendo but i have Xbox one and 360
How do you collect the versions?
I hated when I payed 20$ for one of my favorite games of all time, and then it all got fucked up by Microsoft and mojang and now I have a 7$ shitty mobile port on my ps4,I dread the day when the battle mini game servers get shut down );.
Why?
@@pingpong3311 it’s a wasted half-assed ps4 port that could’ve been great, firstly, the marketplace only works like one out of 20000 times and you can’t even equip all your skin customization things like shirts and whatnot, the shading textures look ugly as fuck and all the legacy textures I PAID FOR,can’t even be used, and did they seriously have to get rid of mini-games?was it really necessary? And why did they have to replace it with all these laggy ass servers?also, the generally worse performance and bugs in the game, here’s a troll you can do in ps4 split screen:scroll through settings constantly, you can fucking cripple the frame rate,oh yeah, not to mention the balancing is fucking wack, they dumbed down all the mobs to make it easier for mobile players to beat them, made them slower,do less damage and whatnot,I would understand this if so many of them didn’t spawn all over the place, why make a game easier and then make it harder?it doesn’t make sense, all the console veterans know what is indefinitely the definitive version of console minecraft, spoiler alert! IT’S NOT BEDROCK! Thank god mojang has dropkicked mobile support for crossplay because the combat balancing is a mess, and now there might actually be a chance for them to make minecraft good again, all I ask of bedrock is to not be a buggy mess, bring back the mini games, fix the combat balancing, and don’t have those ugly ass pocket edition textures, anyways if you made it this far, congrats, hats off to you bro, true gigachad.
@@dracogram9580 PS player's purchases didn't transfer?????
My God that's terrible, Bedrock copied everything I bought on Xbox.
@@thawkade Well I have the packs but they don't work because microsoft doesn't care about ps4,which is understandable I guess seeing as it's competition,or I just need to find out how the hell to get it to work, one or the other, probably the second.
I dont get it but I went through the same thing where minecraft today is boring but the legcay edition is *still* fun and id rather play it on my xbox 360
Those classic mario sprites where cool
Its more like the java version. I bought a copy very cheap and will play it soon (i tested it it works)
It would be cool to see a program being made that allows for java 1.12 to work with console edition.
Everyone grew up with xbox minecraft... was i the only one that played it on playstation besides this guy?
I did!
Console legacy is yes new minecraft is dread
I love the custom super flat world feature
I forgot capes existed lol
7:18 soooo true bro
Great video :)
