    This definitely wasn’t an exhaustive list of all the accessories I use, so here is a link to the recommended products page on my website with some more of my favourites: autocarehq.com/recommended-products/accessories-and-equipment/

      Hey Heather i have Garage Therapy V1 snow foam and yes i have been slow to use it because i'm working my way through other's, because you have had first hand experience with this how much should i add to a 1 litre lance.
      I know the info on the bottle is when working with 500ml but i'm washing a VW Amarok dual cab ute so would i add 200ml product to 800ml water? I did contact GT they said start with 100ml product and work up, but i haven't got time to muck around. Cheers mate

    • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  Год назад +1

      @@ilikechickensausages2075 It depends on what foam cannon you're using to be honest. If you're using an MJJC (or something else that guzzles the solution), go for 100:900 ml. But if you're using a less thirsty foam cannon (like an MTM) then go for 200:800

    • @ilikechickensausages2075
      @ilikechickensausages2075 Год назад

      @@AutoCareHQ I will split the difference and go 150ml product to 850ml water my foam lance/cannon is in between a guzzling one but it's not a MTM or MJJC.
      Thank's heaps for the information i will try it give you a sit rep it's a white car with about 40 day's worth of winter road wash
      now! Just to get some decent weather.

I would up purchasing a mothers wheel brush for using on the tyres as I found the majority of tyre specific ones had super stiff bristles and were fairly hard on the wrist when cleaning tyres. I will add an honourable mention for the Gyeon Q2M kneel matt (or any similar thing) for cleaning wheels, makes it easier going on the knees and couldn't do without it now!

      Also, check the little foam filter. I've read others saying certain products can clog them up really quickly. And once you've used it, pump and run water through it to remove as much product as possible, which clogs the filter. But yeah, it doesn't last very long. A whole wheel or the side skirt is about it for me.

    Solid recommendations and a number of items where I thought the same as you did initially but noting that once bought you wouldn't do with them means I'll pull the trigger this time I think. You referenced the edgeless for the MX5 ref the soft paint, I'm in the same boat tho my car is the bright orange of the 30th Anniversary Edition. Are there any other products (mitts etc) you would recommend for the super soft paint on that car? Cheers, Kevin

      Thanks for watching Kevin. I love the 30th anniversary edition MX5. I'd definitely look for a 70/30 microfiber blend as the towels will be softer compared to an 80/20 blend. The Eagle Edgeless 500 and Edgeless 365 are the two I usually go for with my car. As long as you look after the microfiber and don't wash/ dry on high heat or use washing powder you should be totally fine

    Thank you Heather for this
    Video and some great suggestions. I’ve got to get me an IK sprayer.
    Would you rate a microfibre wash mitt over a lambswool one? I’m thinking of changing over to MF one

      Cheers Darren 😊
      I prefer a microfiber one personally. Just find them easier to clean really, although I do use a lambs wool wheel mitt on my own car but just because it never gets that dirty!

      @@AutoCareHQ I guess the coating helps keep the car/wheels clean.

    Hi Heather, I just had CQ finest reserve installed by a professional detail shop, looks great no high spot visible from any light angle, even with spot light. however, when I blow warm air with mouth, I can see streaks appear through the steam on paint, this is consistent everywhere. Is this normal? or it will disappear once fully cured? Thanks!

      @AutoCareHQ  Год назад +1

      I haven't tried it myself so I can't say for sure but I wouldn't worry too much about it especially if you can't see any high spots. Once it's cured it should hopefully go, just give it plenty of time before washing it

      @@AutoCareHQ Thanks for the reply, I think I know what those streaks are, not high spots but it's the final wipe down after polish, not sure what they used, but leaving streaks, sealed by the coating later on.. I found the same on the tail lights, those streak flow connect to the paint, but can be wiped off, since tail lights are not coated.

    I've just brought a new wheel brush, looked narrow enough online... Doesn't fit between brake disc guard the rim :-( Nice brush otherwise.

    Detailing cars seems like good money, but thinking about all the chemicals now kinda worries me. I wonder if it's possible to do a good job with "safer" ingredients
