☾ MY MOMS FLAN RECIPE:
Preheat oven to 350
6 eggs
1 can condensed milk
1 can evaporated milk
1 pack cream cheese
1 tbs vanilla
(Blend everything until smooth)
For caramel:
1 cup sugar (heat up on pan and consistently mix until it turns into caramel)
Add caramel to your oven safe dish of choice, then add the blended mixture on top, bake in oven for an hour. (Best to add your oven safe dish over a bowl of water to help it bake properly)

Seriously made me cry when your mom got emotional... No words... It's so cool that you could give her a gift like that, it's really amazing how we can come full circle and take care of our parents, giving them surprises and giving them all the love and care they gave us... I know it just looks like a laptop, but if you know, if you can see the love and emotion, it's soooooo much more!
Also, the tamales de queso y rajas made me soooo hungry!!!! And the ponche!

When you were in the kitchen making the tamales with your mom and sister with the music on I felt like I was there too. It felt so familiar. I could smell the kitchen and feel the warmth from the vaporera, the chisme and the overall love. I also love how we Mexicans speak and use diminutivos. Le ponemos quesito, agüita, canelita.
