By International Law, and agreements going back centuries, embassies are considered actual land of the country they represent.
Thus, the Iranian Embassy is (legally) the actual State of Iran. When Israel bombed the Embassy, they in fact bonded Iran.

Anyone else see the irony that this war is occurring in the Holy Land, where three major religions were founded: Islam, Christianity and Judaism. All three religions teach "love thy neighbor."
