I’m from Hot Springs! Gulpha Gorge is beautiful too. Hiking, swimming, and camping. West Mountain is beautiful as well. It’s where my husband proposed to me ♥️ Balancing Rock trail off Cedar Glades road is fun too. Oh and I don’t know if y’all knew about the old Carriage trail behind the Mountain Valley building. There’s also this place called Tiny Town off Ouachita Ave as well as the Alligator Farm. And if you’re ever here during Christmas, make sure you go back to Garvin Gardens!

Growing up in Hot Springs was cool! The summers were always spent outdoors. The lakes and Magic Springs were a staple! Not to mention hiking on the trails behind bath house row and the endless field trips to The Mid America Museum. The water falls and the Hot Springs are sights to behold! We used to walk from our house to downtown Hot Springs for fun and cool snacks. I love when I make trips back home. I make it a habit to continue the traditions I grew up doing so my son can experience all the things I got to growing up. Don’t forget about the Diamond Crater! We had endless field trips there. We got shovels and pals and got to dig for gems. Whatever you find, you get to keep! If you’re traveling there by driving don’t forget to bring empty water containers to take some of the best water to drink back home with you.

Great video of Hot Springs and you pretty much named all the top "great spots" of Hot Springs. Just just a little over an hour away, we go there for the day or camping and vacations. Hot Springs is surrounded by three lakes making it a wonderful outdoor place to be. Ouachita is a top scuba diving lake because it's so clear in many parts. It also has lots of Corp of Engineer campgrounds that are great also, most headed up toward Mt. Ida.
Lake Hamilton is a great lake where you'll find lots of condo rentals, cabins and a few older resorts that are still there, marinas for boat rentals and some on the water restaurants. It's also the lake with the most homes on it.
And of course Lake Catherine, wonderful state park for camping and hiking. Hot Springs has lots of little know places to check out and small parks all over town, most with lots of history including Whittington Park with markers showing that it was the birthplace of the first baseball spring training where greats like Babe Ruth and many others played. There is also West Mountain with a great drive and lookout on the other side from the Hot Spring Tower. You can access it through the road to Whittington Park and there are hiking trails there too. There is Hill Wheatly Park with a swim and picnic area and a boat ramp. There is also Desoto Park with a nice creek running through it, picnic area and play ground, though there are no hiking trails there. Just a great place to picnic and let the kids play. Use to have an old army tank but they moved it. Still a nice park. And you can't forget Gulpha Gorge National Park Campground. It is a great campground right on the creek bank of Gulpha Gorge with full hookups, but is first come-first serve, no reservations, also no showers just clean bathrooms. It's nice and shady, not large but very beautiful and also has a picnic area.
There is just so much to enjoy in Hot Springs including The Alligator Farm, Tiny Town, and lots of other fun family things to do there.
So many great shops, flea markets, and places to eat. Check out some of the older, small eating places, you'll be glad you did!
Just thought I'd help you add some more fun things to do and see around Hot Springs. If you're ever back this way, you can make a new video!
With Covid stopping so many family vacations, there is still a lot of outdoor stuff to do and be safe at!

Absolutely "AVOID" driving through Hot Springs, Arkansas if you have out of state plates...
It "Will" make you the target of extortion, assault & battery or worse. The garland county sheriffs department has a long history of corruption and civil rights abuse, which is well documented for anyone who cares to research the subject. It doesn't matter what color your skin is.The sheriffs deputys who participate and continue to participate in these atrocious crimes may not have to pay for their crimes in this life time, but there will be accountability on judgement day !
