Hi Sweethearts, love you two! I lived in Vegas. Heat info: Pls get hats that have the little holes in them at top/ hats that breath. Closed hats hold in heat. You can get heat stroke or heat exhausation all of a sudden. Drink gastorade Zero it will put the electrolytes back & it keeps you from becoming dehydrated. (Also drink it when you are sick). Drink water when needed, but start out with the gastorade. Ooooh No Red. Kisszzzes! Sharon 'Sugar' Smith
Sharon, appreciate the love and the tips. I grew up in southern Florida- not the save but pretty darn hot. I know the hats you are talking about but we wanted to wear our logo hats. Larry’s is a trucker hat so open in the back. Great tips for hot days Alice
Great CAAT tour ! I enjoyed that area like 20 years ago ! The Grand Design isn’t designed so good?? 🤔 I section hiked the AT and still hike today not using hiking boots ! Hiking shoes with large toe box ! Never had any feet issues! Also , liner socks and gators . Carrying a 30 lb pack . Thanks for sharing your experience! 😁👍
Hi Larry and Alice! Great video! Glad you made it to the hot springs. And the club up to the tower I don’t blame you for taking the stairs I hate ejectors. Always afraid of getting stuck. Glad you were able to fix the cabinet temporarily. Glad it cleared up from the storms for you go out and explore the town. Hopefully you can get everything fixed in the Rv soon. Well I hope you have a great weekend see you soon!
Hey, Sherri. We had such a blast there, hiking, climbing, and enjoying the springs. Things are going to break but Larry can usually fix them. We are having more fun traveling Alice
Damn, sorry to see you guys are having more issues already than what we had the whole time with our 2019 reflection 303rls. But I bet things will be better from now on. Great video as always, thanks!
Stuward, We were just saying that maybe if we bought used, some of this would have been handled with original owner. We have been on some bad highways. But luckily Larry comes up with an answer 👍 And thank you Alice
Wayne, thanks. Larry might do one n his personal channel. We do need to update our equipment list in our Amazon store. We are recently using DJI mics and camera. Insta 360. And new drone - DJI air 3 Alice
@@DIYwithWaynewe have separate drone list. I think I updated the Amazon lists. If you think something is missing, let me know. Message or email - we don’t get notified of comments on comments
You can take the elevator and only do the indoor observation deck. It’s an amazing view. We didn’t bring our temperature gun so we aren’t sure how hot the water was Alice
You are so funny and real. I was not being critical about shedding weight on the rig. You have to do what you have to do! We sometimes do too! Good luck in your travels. Love you guys and hope we can meet you some day.
Your not idiots for doing the stairs! My hubby and I took the elevator for the tower and we got stuck in it for 50 minutes sun beating down. I was going into heat stroke. Firemen had to rescue us. It was a mess! On a very hot 90 degree day!
Can I fly a drone in Hot Springs National Park ? No, unmanned aircraft (drones) are prohibited in Hot Springs National Park. The U.S. National Park Service (NPS) has banned drones in all 417 national parks since June 2014. This includes Wilderness areas and wildlife refuges managed by other federal agencies. The FAA maybe looking at your channel....
Use the ALOFT air control app. You cannot take off or land inside national park land. Do you have your Part 107 license? Larry does. Follow the rules, get your license, follow the app Looks like you wasted about this in a previous comment Alice
The giddiness in this video is contagious! 😂 Y'all are clearly happy to be back on the road!! Alice you should try Kachava. Full of healthy veggies and fruit for a good serving of RDA of vitamins and minerals. We get vanilla and add flavors we like. So good!!! I need that harness for our Yorkies! Hi Scruffy!!
Glad our joy shows. We went through a lot to get back out. Thanks for the suggestion to help supplement my diet We won’t get any other harness than a Sporn. Check them out. Scruffy says hi back. See you next time Alice
@@DownsizingMakesCents cool! Thanks! I need something my male Yorkie can't escape from 😂 Oh and to clarify, I add things like bananas, apple slices, blueberries and strawberries to my Kachava. 💗
Great video. Always a pleasure to watch you guys. Larry I have a suggestion. You are very good in repairs and upkeeps. What do you think about keeping those separate from your videos that’s shows us how wonderful these trips are For example you had 2 incidents this week. And one was part of this video. It’s would be awesome if they were separate from the regular filming. Thank you. Just a thought See you on the next video
Michel, thanks. Larry has many detailed DIYs. We don’t have the time right now for two videos and many people wanted to see the temp fix. This video has chapters so you can skip what you don’t want to see. We appreciate the input Alice
@@DownsizingMakesCents I could follow individual moments, but it seemed to jump around in time to me, probably just the way I was looking at it. Usually, your videos flow in a more obvious timeline and I just wanted you to have my feedback in case you were trying a new editing technique.
Gorgeous looking State Park for Camping Amazing area for numerous activities just the spot for Alice & Larry!! Between the rain storms & heat handled it like troopers with the hikes & tower climb Great Team Work! Cool that you have/had 10 days in that area! Happy Travels All The Best! We have a 2022 337, ( bought new). So, far it has been great, our 2017 (pre Covid) Sabre was the worse 5th wheel we have ever owned. We hope our GD continues to be a good one.
What I have learned about rv's is keep everything light. Less is more. We are pack rats like most campers, but I go through each cabinet, drawer, bin, or tray every 3 weeks or so to see what I can delete. It's not easy. I use their weight and how much it's used as my criteria. Only emergency equipment and tools get a pass! You two are the best and I always have a nice time watching your adventures. Your dialog is priceless.
John, thanks. Unfortunately, we have to do the downsizing right before our 6 month trips - and take to storage. Most of our weight is tools and solar system- need that 😁 And thank you. We try to give great info with a chuckle Alice

Brings back some memories for me. My late husband and I spent a few days in Hot Springs back in the late 80s. They have really improved some things.
Kris, I bet it was less crowded then.
Hope we brought a smile
Alice
Thanks for taking us along on this fun journey. 11:43 😂 The Pagoda! You brought it to fruition
PS- Larry's right, more spinach! 🤣💕👍🍃
Well, Jonny. Larry made a smoothie today - no spinach at all 😁 So, I win
Alice, try sautéing spinach in butter. Sprinkle good quality Parmesan cheese or Feta cheese. Yummy!
That actually sounds pretty good. Thanks
Alice
I am with Alice, steps up are ok but down.... got to have rail and takes me longer!
Karin, exactly. Glad someone understands 😁
