This is def inspiring. I initially ruled him exclusively as an exception till he said he studies 10hrs reading a week on leadership, i understood. His effort is exceptional thus, why
This is awesome content, thanks man. I work in Cybersecurity but these principles can be applied in most jobs so it's really valuable not even just for Devs. Thanks a lot for your content.
Loved this interview! I think you asked the right questions here and this is exactly what I was curious about in the transition from engineering to management.
Dude I've applied to at least 100 internship positions, and I've only gotten two interviews from that. I'm working on personal projects when I get the chance in between these time consuming and challenging CS courses. It's extremely hard right now to get one and I'm about to hit my senior year...
That journey took me 20 years. I ended up at L7/L8 in the CEO's 12 person team at a Smartphone manufacturer. I retrained into medicine a few years later.

buddy went to s startup to learn react.... also as soon as I heard Harvard in a sentence I knew that this is not my audience. I think there should be more normal tech videos from people who didnt go to clout schools. It is bad for the younger generation who sees this and thinks they are getting into fang just cause they know some python.

This guy really got his microsoft internship offer just by talking about his tennis racket business. That was truly the golden era.
He’s simplifying it, it was still very hard to get a top internship at that time. He went to a top school. Every generation has its own challenges
also depends on the interviewer
