Thank you, Jane! That is lovely to hear! 😍😍
Yes, they do take a lot of time.. at the moment about 9-10hrs per video from planning, actual sewing & filming, lots of editing in 2 or 3 different software packages, veeeery slow uploading 😫, RUclips processing, adding title and description and finding music clips to cover the length of the video. More RUclips processing and then it's finally done, phew!
I'm having a blast, though, and am learning so much with every single one that I think that the post-filming work will get a little quicker with practice! (Here's to hoping lol..) 🙋‍♀️🥰

@@bluebellhillcrafts Yes, I have found with projects like this, the speed of doing all the steps gets better. I totally get the length of time it takes... it's fun but at some point, you just want to have it completed with your vision precisely the way you "saw" it!!! LOL! Keep up the good work. I saw one person comment that they would like you to speak, but I like the way you're doing it... it's very calming. And your video is different than most so it sets you apart - that's a good thing. 🩷🪡🧵🩷

So pleased to hear you enjoyed it! As for the stamping - I’ve used this ink pad for a while on fabrics, but not on anything that has been washed several times. For that I think you’d be better off using ink specifically recommended for textiles.

I think I know which stamp you mean.. I got it from 'Little Stamp Store', a small indie business in the UK. She has a website and an Etsy shop, but both are closed at the moment. It just says 'for a winter break', so there's unfortunately no info on if or when she might re-open.
Best wishes & happy stitching! 🙋‍♀️☺️

@bluebellhillcrafts Another lovely video .. thank you. I like the fact that you don't feel the need to give continuous commentary although also appreciate the little snippets of advice/information. I'm probably going to sound like an idiot - what sort of things do you use the snippet roll for? Sorry if this is really obvious but I don't really do much with fabrics (as you know, papercraft is my first love! 😅) so am keen to find out more 💕⚘💕 xx

    • @bluebellhillcrafts
      @bluebellhillcrafts  7 месяцев назад +2

Aw, that is such lovely feedback, thank you SO much! ☺️😍
I'm still psyching myself up to do voice over instead of just text, but at present that thought still stresses me out lol.. I always worry that people might find the text distracting and that it takes their attention away from the sewing / crafting, so speech is on my list for as and when I feel ready to tackle it..
Anyway, as to the uses of snippet rolls - I've got a video on a glass jar sleeve that I made with a left over of a pink snippet roll and I've also added two strips (one above the other) on top of a linen base fabric and turned that into a plant pot cover. There's a 'short' on the finished piece, I think. Juts look out for white and yellow flowers.
You could also add a strip of it to embellish a journal cover, for example, or around a tote bag perhaps. Sometimes I use little bits of them in my stitch squares (they're shown in the 'My Stitching Journey' series of short videos.
Honestly, sometimes I like to look at them, just for the sake of them! When I had a few made up I had them on these cute little wooden spools in front of a row of books in my bookshelf and they made me smile every time I looked at them! 😊🤭
Enjoy the rest of your evening! xx🙋‍♀️

For what it's worth, I like the text and don't find it at all distracting at the current level. Thank you for the info re the snippet rolls .. I'll try and look at some of your other videos. I know what you mean about just looking at lovely things .. if I'm very pleased with one of my cards, I a) just keep looking at it and b) feel a bit sad when I send it off the recipient (although also feel happy in the hope that it will be enjoyed). I always take a photo of any card I make/send and enjoy looking back at them .. both for ideas and also just for the joy of seeing something I've made and been happy with! I'm hoping the postman will bring me my lovely order from you tomorrow .. he walked straight past the house this morning - most distressing! 😀💕 @@bluebellhillcrafts

    • @bluebellhillcrafts
      @bluebellhillcrafts  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hallöchen! Guten Abend 🙋‍♀️
Der Laden heisst 'Little Stamp Store'.

      Hello there! Good evening 🙋‍♀️
You're very welcome, thank you very much for your interest!
Yes, these Stazon ink pads are washproof. They are also permanent on many other surfaces, such as glass and metal. They're not cheap, but I personally think they're worth the money. I can also stamp with it and then paint over it with watercolors. Many other brands simply start bleeding...
Regarding the stamps - I've been collecting for a while and have had the letter set and the other motifs for a long time. I usually like to buy from other small online stores to support them, but sometimes Amazon works too 🙈...
The first motif is from an English Etsy shop. She designs the stamps and lasers them herself. The store is called 'Little Stamp Store'.
You can generally buy two types of stamps - either they are already glued to a piece of wood or something similar, or they come on these plastic sheets and then need an acrylic block (like the one I use here) to be able to stamp with them.
      I hope the information helps!
      Best regards! 😊

Yes, I can totally understand that you don't want to throw out any fabric scraps at all - I'm the same..! 🤣
What you can do is sew together some small pieces first and then add them to the snippet roll after. It will look fantastic and very colourful! You can search RUclips for 'crumb quilting tutorial' to get some ideas on how to use really small pieces in odd shapes. (One of these days I'll do a tutorial on it as well, it's on my list..)
I hope this has helped - happy sewing! 🙋‍♀️😘

Sono così felice che ti sia piaciuto! 😍
