Beautiful snippet rolls. I love your style of crafting. Lace, ruffles, flowers, in small pieces that I think look the best. Thanks for showing me my favorite way of crafting.💝💝💝
You have so many awesome ideas. I absolutely adore your channel and your gifts. Your tutorials are so easy to follow. I really want to learn how to use my singer machine so I can sew. To learn a machine, I need live help and hands on instruction. Tried several times to do paper but had no luck. I don’t get the basics of how to work the machine, and the manual just overwhelms me. 🤦🏻♀️ Anyhow- thank you for your awesome video! I stayed up night before last until three in the morning making several of your bookmark ideas. ❤️ God bless.
Hi Gi, this is a favourite thing to do for me, I guess because I find it so relaxing. I’m a bit like Debbie Deak tho, mine end up a bit grungy too, lol.
This is a good idea. I will look for pieces of my daughters' dresses and upcycle some, then use the scraps to make a snippet roll to tie around my journal. Thanks for sharing such a pretty idea.
Another wonderful video, as always...like your calm voice and how you demonstrate your projects...thanks for all your wonderful ideas...and have a wonderful holiday season...God Bless
Because I am a seamstress, I have lots of threads and cuts of fabric. I have done this technique but using water soluble stabilizing for the backing. That way when you sew everything together, it looks like a new piece of fabric.
This looks like fun! I saw someone's video about their Junk Journal, and there were short bits of a snippet roll on some of her pages. I was very curious, so came to watch this video. I will give this a go. Thanks Gi Kerr! ~Janet in Canada
Well done Gi! It was inspirational to all viewers. I need to give it a try as I have endless pieces having been a seamstress. I’m surprised your sewing machine needle didn’t “gum” up with the glue. Glue was a great idea to stabilize the pieces. TFS!
Making the snippet rolls is very addictive, and serious fun. I just made some of the mini snippets and oh my gosh, I love them. They are really pretty in person. The thing I have to guard against is feeling like they are too precious, but they are so easy to make I know when I use one up I can just make another. Very excellent tutorial.
Love, love , love your snippet roll. You have got me inspired to make another one. I haven’t made one for 12 months. Thank you so much for the time you spend sharing your talents.
I have wanted to do this for so long, Gi and now you have inspired me even more. Everything you do ends so beautiful. Thank you for taking time each day to share your wonderful talent with us.
No sabía que se llamaban fragmentos y tampoco sabía para q eran pero ahora ya entiendo y quiero hacer algunos con restos de texturas . Muchas gracias. Un abrazo desde Colombia.
It's just lovely. I ordered 2 of the same dresses, in different colors. I'm going to trim the white one with a roll of that. If I start now, it will be ready when they get here. Thank you so much ♥
Love love love. No matter how hard I try, I can't get my projects as pretty as yours. They always turn out a bit grungy. Maybe that's just my style. Anyway beautiful work as usual!!!!
Hi there, This looks like fun. I do have a Q though. If you use little bits of glue stick to hold the pieces in place, do you have to then wait an hour or two, to make certain glue is dry, before you sew the pieces on? If still tacky, wouldn't it wreck your machine?
Very pretty, having done this, what use would you put them to? I suppose it lends itself more to scrapbook exercises than attaching it to something that will need to be kept clean, like upholstery or clothing.
Love this! My scraps are not as nice as yours though lol. Not sure if is my device but there was an odd static throughout the video. Anyway, love watching your creative process! TYFS ❤️🦋💜
Have you ever tried to make a snippet roll of fabric with just glue and maybe some hand stitching? i have a sewing machine-just got it but i have not learned how to use it and since my mom is sick now it will take at least 6 months before she can teach me and i really want to make a snippet roll and use in journals. Big hug from Norway
I could hardly hear your comments. Consider doing them a bit louder please. However its easy to see what you're doing and it looks pretty. I would like to see what you do with it. Thanks
Gi. I always adore your creativity and the final produced gem. Thank you again for sharing your talent. Stay safe. What base material did you use here?
I don't add very much glue stick and I was using and old sewing machine. I have a new one now so I will be a little careful and make sure the glue is dry properly before I start sewing . Hugs Gi x

Who would have thought a little of this and a little of that could be so pretty? Gi would!! It's very pretty. Love it.
Love watching you do this. You show us how to simplify the process. With my OCD it is my way of dong things. Well be doing this.
That is so pretty Gi all the colours sit well together and the flowers are beautiful and the lace really finishes it off. Just love it!

Очень интересно и красиво! А как использовать в дальнейшем эту красоту?
This is so pretty! But what do you use this for? It would be such a waste to just let it sit in a drawer.
Gi. I always adore your creativity and the final produced gem. Thank you again for sharing your talent. Stay safe. What base material did you use here?
GI do you stitch the flowers on too?
Hi Lovely… fabulous video…just wondering if the glue ever affects your sewing machine 🤔
I don't add very much glue stick and I was using and old sewing machine. I have a new one now so I will be a little careful and make sure the glue is dry properly before I start sewing . Hugs Gi x
Makes perfect sense thank you 😊👋🏽
Hi Gi where did you get the tiny wee red rose continueous binding from please?
