For the wedding issue, I feel like I’d compromise by having an engagement party with everyone then a smaller intimate wedding. If budget permitted, that way everyone feels included but also any craziness is kept away from the wedding PLUS extra wedding celebrations!

For the stressed bride.. I’d probably throw an “engagement” party and say he can invite them but if they act crazy then they are not invited to the wedding! You never know they might not be so bad in that scenario, then you can show him you have given him a chance and if they do start fights I’d just point blank tell him no they’re not coming around my children with that behaviour 😊
As a Brian the tickling thing is weird as long as it's not a common occurrence. I have had those tickle fights/ wrestles with friends, both male and female but not as a regular thing.
What my sister did was they invited 40 people each to the wedding… if he wants to have 15 of his 40 being mates let him but don’t let him have anymore than a limit you set!!

agree! my partner and I have also discussed a smaller wedding and just holding a reception separately. I think it’s the best of both worlds
