No the route 10 music isn't dead. In Black 2 & White 2 the house In Icirrus City that contained the ex team rocket in the Black&White now contains An ex team magma and an ex team aqua as well as another NPC who supposedly represents Shota Kageyama; a video game composer who did work in Black&White if you interact with him you can change the music inside the house to the route 10 music. I guess this song must have been special to him.
This song reminds me of my late grandma. She died when I was 9. In the months before her passing. I would go to her house while my family tried to take care of her, and I would wait in the living room, playing pokemon. I got stuck in route 10 and I remember hearing this track over and over again while I waited there. Now, when I hear this song, it takes me back and reminds me of that time, of my grandma. I miss you Abuela 🕊️
It's the chained limitations on the composer being released. Think about the limitations on sound that the pre - DS systems had. Listen to route one (from Kanto) to its counterpart in Indigo league anime. Just greatness that was waiting to be heard.
Imo the best “route” song pokemon has ever come out with. Perfectly captures the feeling of a “journeys end”, it’s both uplifting and nostalgic at the same time. Everything about this is perfect
we understand. this song is epic yet sad. at this point, you have all 8 badges but we've got to stop team plasma's plan. and there's no turning back because you are the hero who can save unova. and i wish your great gramps everlasting peace.
Then that ambiance is utterly destroyed by the BW1 rival team because Cheren wants to battle you to make sure you're prepared for the challenges ahead.
I'm still desperate for extended videos of my favorite Nintendo songs. Even with being able to loop any song on both PC and Mobile, there's something special about these old videos that bring me back.
When I heard it for the first time, it made me think of how far I had come with my Pokemon. All the battles we faced, all the victories, all the losses, the laughter, the tears. All the time we spent growing together as a team, all the hard work we had done to get there. But I also thought of the challenge that lay ahead. I thought, "This is it. Time to show how far we've come. Time to give it everything we've got!" Few other songs in Pokemon have filled me with as much emotion as this one did.
When I first heard this theme on white, it instantly became my favorite. My 6-7 year old self was alarmed and began humming to it. Only HG/SS goldenrod city and XY champion theme has given me the opportunity in the series to hum again.
No. Its mostly the number of awfully designed new pokemon that gen 5 "haters" disliked. The music is still amazing though. I don't anyone have complained on Gen 5's music.
LOVE this song! Usually I don't get that "into" the background music from the routes, but this is by far the best and very catchy. I think it really captures the motif of overcoming trials and obstacles while reflecting back on where you've been.
Played this game when I was 14, still listening till 17, will probably come back when I'm 30. This theme hits so hard for whatever reason, almost emotional, like reflecting on a journey. Hits really hard :)
This song makes me nostalgic. Miss the Good old night, Staying up late with no worries. Its 2010. You Wake up with this song in your headphones. Your hot pockets are ready. Life is good.
I remember near the end of form 1 when I literally pretended to be sick and getting away with it just to play this game on the 3ds, which I snuck under my bed, until hours trying to beat it. I loved this game so much, they were some of the best times of my life.
This is the best ost in all of pokemon, hands down. Its such a perfect theme to express the road to the last obstacle of the journey. I guess I like this theme the most because it kinda represents the journey I will have to undertake soon too.
Route 10 always gave the feeling of a journey's end to begin a new one. Pokémon White being my first game, always look back to how much I've learnt and grown since. Funny how that was 10 years ago and with The Indigo Disk taking us to Unova. Dropped everything when hearing that news. Even went to try gathering my OG team (I WANT BOLDURE TO COME AS WELL!!!!)
12 going on 13 and now 23 how the time flies, I miss childhood staying up late at night with my DS under my blankets avoiding my parents when possible it was refreshing. Now it just doesn't feel the same but the nostalgia is there, and this song brings it all rushing back the memories of working so hard and grinding my team to perfection to crush my foes.
This track is my favorite out of any track in BW, and out of all tracks in Pokémon in general. This route has such a unique and distinct sound, you would have never guessed it was from a Pokémon game. It is completely different from the others and gives that feeling of “you’ve made it this far, don’t give up now” in your heart. Never have I ever heard a track similar to this one.
I love this song. I can't describe the feeling it brings though... Is it melancholy? Is it determination? Is it calmness? Or maybe all of them, combining to bring an unforgettable atmosphere to the final stretch of BW. Eh, I don't know. I only know that this theme is legendary.
It's the song of Professor Juniper asking you if you regret going on your adventure, where you got shoved into a difficult ethical argument and were named as the opposing champion by an unshakable demogogue, and now the future of the region hangs on you. You didn't make these problems, but they are left to you. It is duty-driven melancholy.
Pokemon black did have a darker story and great gameplay to it and it will always be my favorite pokemon game next to Pokemon platinum. But this theme is absolutely amazing. 🖤
Just went through a nuzlocke,my final place to find audinos was here,on route 10.I have no regrets wasting max repels and pps of my pokemon. But I lost my Scrafty here, sad.
This is one route I could level up in all day :) The music fits especially when you depart from facing your rivals.Hearing their goodbyes after beating them is amazing. It feels like a real journey is about to begin.
I usually didn't find this song that captivating to me until I just listened to it for the first time in a while. Really takes me back when I was just 10 years old playing this for the first time and the simplicity that came with it. Now, I'm a lost 20 something with desperate need for a therapist lol. I know there is hope, but sometimes it gets hard. Especially when I feel like it's all my fault and the worlds seems bleak at times. Yet, I prevail. I also remember hearing this in the beginning of a dykg video of the same game lol. The beginning parts are nonetheless iconic to me. I wish I could go back for a moment just to feel how it meant to be innocent and content.
I love this theme a lot, it's like a little moment of peace before the final showdown And, it makes you feel a bit nostalgic, it's like "it's been a long travel since we left home, and now the end of our adventure is near"
And all Unova depends on you, cause you're the choosen one who can face N and his legendary dragon. If you fail... it's over Ghetsis will conquer Unova like the Ghetsis from Ultra Sun/Moon dimension
normaly the routs say "go go go, you're almost there" while this song has that message, but it also tells me "take your time and enjoy it" i love this song, and hatch my eggs there because i could listen to this song forever and not get tired of it
It's such a hard route, but it really gives the feeling of the last route so perfectly. It has this sort of, nostalgic melancholic feeling that makes you look back at your entire journey, but also this heroic feeling of being right at the end and steps away from being champion.
I remember when i played this game, I would purposely take extra time on this certain route because of the music! This brings back a lot of memories!!!
This music makes me think of just all the Pokemon I caught in this game and it kinda makes me think "well, my adventure through this region is nearly over...*looks back on good moments training all my Pokemon* today, I become, Unova's new...CHAMPION!
One thing that passed through my mind was "Am I the true villain, locking these poor creatures to carry on my will? Or is Team Plasma truly the antagonists...?"
What I most like in this music is the feeling of a goal that was finally achived, that after all the hardwork that we add, the adventures, friendships, the hellos and goodbyes we can say that we did it, we've finnaly did it! It comes to this and only this! there's no escape for what is to come. It is not a bad thing if we hug it with pleaseure and the feeling of that it's not the end of everything, just the beggining of another adventure. And this goes to everything not just pokémon.
Sinnoh Route 209 will forever have the song that makes me most emotional. This one, though? This one is absolutely up there. It's this song that makes me feel like I didn't devote enough time to Black and White, as well as their sequels. I wanna play them again sometime.
The fact that everyone loves this song and I don't even remember it. I mean I do love the song now but... honestly I think my only happy moments playing BW were area themes and this should've been one of them...
I never realized this before, but this song sounds almost like T Hawk's theme from Super Street Fighter IV, which that game came out 5 months before Pokemon Black And White was released
I love this track more than any other in the pokemon series. I arrived on Route 10 through my first playthrough at 6 PM, when the sky was a bright orange, and there was a drizzle, making the entire environment seem eerie. As we walk this path, we know that N is probably beating Alder, and we are the region's only hope to save the relationship between man and pokemon. This theme reflects the feelings of dread, uncertainty, and nervous exhilaration that the main character feels at this moment.
So you've finally gotten all 8 badges, for most trainers this would be a thrilling and happy final stretch to the league...but you? Team Plasma has ALL they need now to execute their plan; N has the legendary Dragon as a loyal ally... and you're the only one with a sliver of hope against them...and even that's not for sure! What if you aren't deemed worthy of the opposing dragon? what if N does manage to instill his values on Unova and eventually the world? There's a lot of pressure on you...You're not going to the league for a title like most...you're going there to save the region. I feel like this track perfectly fits that, it's not upbeat, but not quite intimidating yet...It's melancholic. you're slowly but surely getting out of the frying pan on this route, and into the fire of victory road and the events that will follow...and it's fair for the protagonist to have doubt in their goals at this point, and to reflect on how a simple gift of a pokemon back with your friends has spiraled into you possibly being the other new chosen one for Unova, destined to define the future.
THIS MUSIC IS MAKING ME CRY!!!! D': It reminds me so much of going to my great-grandpa's house, he died and I miss him so much. Don't get me wrong, I still LOVE this music.
Listened to the entire 15 minutes and 30 seconds and I don't feel tired of this music at all...Definitely one of the best B/W songs, even though there are many! I wish they kept Route 10. :')
This theme reminded me of when I first heard it back when I was a second grader, now that I'm a young adult this theme gives a vibe of how time really flys by us.
@Riceboy569 0:18 , 0:33 , 0:46 , basically whenever a phrase ends. The main note of the key (in this case C) is going down to the 7th (B), to complete a G chord. That type of resolution sounds really neat, and is used very often in minor key music to finish phrases.
God I hope they remaster this just right in the BW remakes, this song is just so beautiful, really makes you feel that you are reaching your journey's end, but in a good way, like a very uplifting and happy song telling you that your work is almost finished and you'll be able to go home and rest, it's the end and that is a good thing, I love this goddamn song
This music from a video game almost made me cry on my first listening. With my team of Krookodile, Seismitoad, Unfezant (I didn't want him either), Zebstrika, Chandelure, and Serperior, I expected not much from this route, considering it was right before Victory Road. Hell no. This very song just got to my ears and, after reminding me of the good of my own life-the progress I've made, the people I've made happy, the hard times I have overcome, and the stories I've seen or read of course-I somehow held in my tears. I don't know how or why I did, but I did. That's all. Pokémon route music almost made me cry.
Man, so much positive feedback. What inspired me to make my initial comment, you ask? Getting to Victory Road in Pokemon Black 2 and finding out that this theme was replaced by the cliched drivel that plays instead. Seriously, I shut my game off in a half-drunk rage and posted my comment--I was actually offended that they took away one of my favorite parts of the prequel (this theme). About an hour later, I reluctantly finished the game.
Being an old fart, my heart will always belong to gen 1 and 2, but reading that doesn't mean I don't like the rest. Reading the comments, I'm really glad that you guys all love these newer tracks as much as I love the older ones ^-^
LOL stalker226 I'm 26, so no, I'm not Old, but compared to kids playing the new games, I feel old. Samurott Blaster Spoken like a gentleman, sir, but it's all good ^-^
With such a unique sound compared to *all* *other* Pokémon routes to have existed, how could you forget it? It’s got that level of uniqueness where you’d never guess it was from a Pokémon game.
No the route 10 music isn't dead. Kinda shares a feel with Snowbelle City from XY
I feel like this track perfectly fits that, it's not upbeat, but not quite intimidating yet...It's melancholic. you're slowly but surely getting out of the frying pan on this route, and into the fire of victory road and the events that will follow...and it's fair for the protagonist to have doubt in their goals at this point, and to reflect on how a simple gift of a pokemon back with your friends has spiraled into you possibly being the other new chosen one for Unova, destined to define the future.
i realy like this song.. is one of my favorite
THIS MUSIC IS MAKING ME CRY!!!!
D':
It reminds me so much of going to my great-grandpa's house, he died and I miss him so much.
Don't get me wrong, I still LOVE this music.
Soon enough, you will know when you will face the final challenge. Until then, there will be more that stand in your way.
Push through regardless.
I have many memories from this game, the nostalgia hits hard, also my favorite route theme
I don't know why but this song makes me think about my missed opportunities.
Pure kino ❤
Thanks, great work
Such a beautiful song that I never heard until now. It made me sad though, but I love it. Was an oldschool Pokemon Red/Blue player.
Same here as someone that grew up gen 1 & 2, black and white in my eye is the last good pokemon game.
R.i.P route 10, destroyed by a landslide
God, I love this music.
About an hour later, I reluctantly finished the game.
this theme and looker's theme have things in common, and i love it!
Being an old fart, my heart will always belong to gen 1 and 2, but reading that doesn't mean I don't like the rest. Reading the comments, I'm really glad that you guys all love these newer tracks as much as I love the older ones ^-^
What do you mean by ''Old fart'' exactly?
stalker226 Thats a pretty rude question -_-
LOL
stalker226 I'm 26, so no, I'm not Old, but compared to kids playing the new games, I feel old.
Samurott Blaster Spoken like a gentleman, sir, but it's all good ^-^
Didn't mean to be rude. Sorry. :(
stalker226 No worries man =)
Route 10's music is the only memorable route music that is memorable for reasons other than nostalgia. Best. Route music. EVER!
With such a unique sound compared to *all* *other* Pokémon routes to have existed, how could you forget it? It’s got that level of uniqueness where you’d never guess it was from a Pokémon game.
@@Quantum_Magnus and it actually good to listen to unlike 99% of pokemon music
