Garmin should consider changing the product line to "forerunner lite", "forerunner", and "forerunner pro". Additionally, instead of having different numbers for the amoled variants, just make it an option in the store configuration. All these numbers are confusing! The fenix line has it much better
I just need an standalone watch (no phone app required) with built-in GPS that shows my location, movement speed, and the time. It should also have a stopwatch and alarm, like any other watch. Heart rate and blood monitoring would be a bonus, as would the ability to play music without a streaming service. I don't need anything beyond that. I'm not looking to replace my desktop PC. It seems so simple to accomplish, and it feels like something most people would want, yet it doesn’t exist. Our choices are either "a basic digital watch" or "a wrist-mounted smartphone with tons of features you don’t need and maybe one or two that you do."
HI There - I need a little help please Garmin - I'm considering purchasing a Garmin smart watch for the first time. Key for me is battery life and maps as I am getting a little tired with getting my phone out during hikes. Considering the Epix Pro and the Fenix 7X Pro (I've had a bit of feedback recommending the Fenix) . I like the thought of using Outdoor Maps Plus as long as I will have coverage in the UK and France - your help will be much appreciated. Jon.
Thanks you for your comments. We have a feature on our website where you can compare products and their features. Below is a link comparing the fenix 7 Pro and the epix Pro. Personally, I primarily wear the epix Pro for the bright AMOLED display. As far as the Outdoor Maps+ is concerned, we currently only offer maps for the 50 U.S. states. However, both the fenix 7X Pro and epix Pro come preloaded with TopoActive maps and coverage is based on where the Garmin device was purchased. For example, if purchased in the U.S., it will come preinstalled with TopoActive North America. I hope this helps. fenix 7X Pro vs. epix Pro comparison - www.garmin.com/compare/?compareProduct=866230&compareProduct=884088

Get the most basic option and move on. Nothing else you can do
