    Dr. Alex Korb is a neuroscientist, writer and coach. He has studied the brain for over 15 years and is the author of The Upward Spiral: Using Neuroscience to Reverse the Course of Depression, One Small Change at a Time. He received a BS in Neuroscience at Brown University, before earning a PhD in Neuroscience at UCLA, and is currently an adjunct assistant professor in the department of psychiatry at UCLA. Outside of the lab he offers personal coaching, and is head coach of the UCLA Women’s Ultimate Frisbee team. He has a wealth of experience in yoga and mindfulness, physical fitness, and even stand-up comedy.     I've read his book "the upward spiral" and happened to stumble across this video without fully reading the title. needless to say I was very confused when someone who I thought was a stranger started bringing up the same exact studies as there were in Dr. Korb's book lol

      Yes and No... Dogmatically no... But in a less strict sense yes... There are certain rules and flexibilities in Alex Korb's theories that takes CBT to another level

    Yes but... many of us have reactive depressions. It means we end up depressed because we find ourselves in an hostile environment, perhaps at work, of go through divorces, or have to move to rainy cities...so, how do we go about all this? We obviously lack those things this video mentioned and we developed depression because of that in the first place.
