  • Hi this time Hel makes a dessert called Jongkong, a really delicious Indonesian dessert.
    Cooking this time I use a non-stick pan / caserolle and a heat-resistant spatula from Steincookware (shp.ee/2ahquc4)
    The recipe is adapted from Instagram julie.w_kitchen with some modifications.
    Jongkong Recipe

    Yield 6 cups @ 300ml
    Ingredients:
    - 250gr brown sugar / palm sugar
    - 60ml water
    Green layer:
    - 10 sheets of pandanus leaf, 3 sheets of suji leaf, 600ml of water, blend until smooth, then filter it
    - 200 ml instant condensed coconut milk
    - 65gr (6 tbsp) rice flour
    - 13 gr (1 tablespoon) tapioca
    - 2.5 tbsp sugar
    - 1 tsp salt
    White layer:
    - 300ml instant condensed coconut milk
    - 500ml of water
    - 75gr (7 tbsp) rice flour
    - 25gr (2 tbsp) tapioca flour
    - 1.5 tsp salt
    - 2 tbsp sugar
    - 1 sheet of pandanus leaf, tie a knot it
