I have a question...what is the advantage of renting a home as opposed to buying the home? For example..if this home is renting for let's say over $2 to 3,000.00 per month or a little more maybe, why not purchase the home I'm sure the mortgage would be about the same monthly. ❤❤
Malady, good question. In my opinion, it usually makes more sense to buy than rent if you can afford to make the purchase. However, there are exceptions when it makes more sense to rent. One exception is if you plan to be in that city/location for less than 2 years or maybe you just don't want the commitment of being a homeowner. Also, if you decide to buy the house, how much you pay for the monthly mortgage would be determine primarily by your credit score, your down payment and your interest rate.
