- Coyoacán is one of Mexico City local's favorite neighborhoods and the reasons are obvious!
Coyoacán is a perfect example of what makes Mexico City such a diverse and fun place to visit! One day you're in a bustling neighborhood full of skyscrapers, and the next, you visit Coyoacán and you're transported to the 16th century with cobblestone roads, colorful buildings, parks, colonial mansions, and an atmosphere that makes you feel that you're in a touristic small town far from the large city.
Coyoacán is where you'll find these things but also other such as Frida Kahlo's Casa Azúl, the León Trotsky museum, food and artisanal markets, and a laid back vibe that invites you to just chill and walk around.

I'm flying out to CDMX for the first time tonight, and you're videos have been so inspirational and helpful throughout my planning process. Keep it up 🤙🏼
Welcome to Mexico City 🇲🇽
Bienvenida, 😃🇮🇹espero te lleves buena impresión y lo goces al 100...👍🤝👋👋
@@mariamar2114 Muchas gracias! La ciudad es increíble!
@@griveramx Thank you!!
I absolutely looooove Coyoacan!, I had so many memories as a student! (I studied the high school there), it's not just gorgeous and cultural, great for eat and shop it's also a place with great vibes!, as you mentioned pretty close of downtown Mx. Los Viveros de Coyoacan are a very special place, it's not a regular park and neither as you mentioned similar to Chapultepec, it's more exclusive for workout or for have a quite walk or romantic date, as you can see they have this particular way where the runners can run or walk called "tartan" is basically the walk floor, very soft (made by rubber and resins) , made in this way to help the reduce impact of each step.
I think there many squirrels in the park. I enjoyed the mercado, ice cream parlor and el Jarocho.
My neighborhood! I love it here...thank you for sharing
Metro is a very quick and super affordable way to get to Coyoacan from downtown. Tip: if you're female and traveling solo, the Metro's 1st car is reserved for women and seniors. You'll avoid the crowded other cars. +1 on the Mercado Coyoacan food!
Me encantó
My fave place in cdmx 🧡🧡🧡
I can’t wait to go and see casa azul 😍 and Coayacan coffee is so good!
Definitely not nerdy. Love educational content.
Despite I'm mexican I've never been to Coyoacan! they say it's very traditional place! I love your video because you both are a good combination!
Pues donde vives carnal.. jajaja
Hey, I enjoyed your video. Nice to see other parts of the city, there's always something to find in Mexico City.
If you guys ever come to my city, Morelia. I can give you a free tour of the city. Morelia and Michoacan are definitely worth a visit if you haven't been here before.
Good historical comparison between US and México, that is a difference of almost a whole century when that church was built and the first English settlers were beginning to arrive to what is now US 👍
So much history in Coyoacan, not just Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, Chomsky and I believe some of the Fidel Castro family also ✌️
*Trotsky
The Castro rumours are true...
Thank you!!!
Querétaro may have more colonial houses than Coyoacán, but Coyoacán is just a small part of CDMX, and Querétaro is the whole city. Still, CDMX have more colonial sites in San Ángel, historic center, Chapultepec castle, etc. Your comment just make me smile.
You both have amazing style 😍 Where is your crossbody from? I love it!
Did you visit Calle Francisco Sosa while you were in Coyoacán? It's one of the most beautiful and charming streets in all of Mexico City.
Yes we did! It was stunning 😍
Couldn't help noticing the similarities between the hairstyles of Serg and Leon T. 😁
You should consider Chimalistac as a living and walkable area. For me it is so much better than Coyoacán.
Ahí se me apareció la llorona. A principios de los noventa. Jamás me he vuelto a parar ahí. No recuerdo la calle que sale a insurgentes, justo enfrente estaba el paradero , ahí mero fue. Hasta se nos quitó lo pedas.
Enjoyed seeing the Gabriel Ponzanelli coyotes sculpture in the park .
Visit lago de los reyes aztecas in tlahuac, mexico city:)
TIP: There is a Mexico City Metro app that I use and it's very helpful. No need for Google Maps. There is also a very cool photography gallery near the park.
Is the market open on weekdays or just weekends?
Is the park near the Frida Musuem?
Vayan al museo de las intervenciones. Todavía se ven las huellas de la batalla. (MEX-USA WAR . 1846-1848)
Eat some Pan Gabriel for me!!!
Come to Russia !
I love you two but in this video you both repeated yourselves...you also didn't do much in this GREAT area.
feel free to leave more suggestions of things to do
@@sergtana I love you guys! I live in CDMX also and watch most of your videos. It's an amazing place. I think you do a stellar job. This one just seemed flat. All the best luck. Tony
They still have mask rules? When will they end?
Probably when the pandemic is over.
@@sergtana It’s been over where I live and travel. I’ll wait to visit Mexico.
