- Police have been forced to retreat from public disorder in Harehills Lane in Leeds, with residents attacking a police car.
"There's a very angry crowd basically just kicking it to bits and throwing missiles at it."

Well, not really. 20 years ago to live in Romania, for example, was very dangerous, especially at nights, because of gypsies. But in the past years pretty much all of them simply left into the West countries, and now Romania is safer than ever in its history. They still do speak Romanian, because they learned it for years, pretty much as they do now learn English, and in 20-30 years they will completely forget Romanian and will speak only English/German/french, depends on their new country. Hopefully they will never come back in Romania :)

In a health system funded by many decades of OUR work and taxes, not the recent arrivals. Such medical care may not be available where they came from. (And god forbid the child has some kind of brain injury that renders them dependent on our system for the rest of their life.)
