If Kennedy is taken down, I honestly want Dave Filoni as the new head of Lucasfilm. Guy took criticism for Rebels and did his absolute hardest to give us a great series by giving nearly everyone story arcs, brought back characters from the Clone Wars, and even revived Thrawn from the legends graveyard! He gives us what we want and I can't think of anyone else to lead Lucasfilm.

I am a chick and I love both Star Wars and Star Trek but Star Wars just does not have the fun and the ability to make me forget about the world like it use too. I felt horrible seeing how men were treated in The Last Jedi because they did not deserve it and in general, a Star Wars story does not need to be portrayed like that. I miss how Star Wars use to be enjoyable and the adventure it use to take me on. I use to feel like I wanted to be a part of it all and be there involved in the "galaxy far far away" but not anymore :'(

Well said viola. There is nothing wrong with strong female characters like princess Leia or padme. In both the original trilogies and the prequels feminine strength did not mean masculine weakness. Yes Leia was strong but so were Luke and han solo. Padme was strong but so was obi wan and anakin. I hated the last Jedi for the same reasons viola hated it. It was a party political broadcast for feminism. It is little wonder why male star wars fans are not turning out to see solo. They don't want to see their gender demeaned by Kathleen Kennedy again.
I was and still are shocked about how Luke Skywalker was in the Last Jedi. Would A New Hope have worked if "old Ben" / Obi-Wan Kenobi was like Luke Skywalker in The Last Jedi.. probably not! Personally for me Star Wars always had the mystery of the force and the dedicated and detailed training it too for a Jedi or Sith to learn how to use or manipulate the force that binds the galaxy. The force in the Last Jedi is nothing but a joke as it seems anyone without training or being mentored can use the force and for me that degrades what the force is. I do not want to see the characters I like die in meaningless deaths because "they no longer matter" and I feel for the actors who had to play those roles and were going against their gut and what they wanted to do. They did their job and did it so well and it is not their fault they were given an odd and out of place script to follow.

Hey guys. Don't know if anyone will even see this in the noise but I noticed something interesting. I was looking at characters from the OT and Disney and assigning points to them in skill areas. I wanted to see how they compared. Mostly I was expecting to see the obvious about Rey compared to the OT characters but something more interesting than that happened.
Two things really. First of all I'll quickly explain the skills: Force (0-10), Guns, Melee, Cunning, Piloting (all 1-5) and specialism (0-5, covers other skills). So Han solo has a score of 17. Leia only 14 (the system does favour combat), Obi Wan 17, Vader 23, The Emperor 18. Luke has three ratings, New Hope=13, Empire =18, Jedi=22. I had forgotten how much growth he went through. Specifically think of his force powers in a New Hope. What does he actually do? Almost nothing. He doesn't even do the Jedi Mind trick until Return of the Jedi.
Anyway the more interesting thing was Rey. Yes she starts out in TFA with a whopping score of 23. Basically on par with Darth Vader. Mostly it's because of the variety of skills but the fact that she can Jedi Mind trick without training starts her out with a higher force rating than Luke had in Empire Strikes Back.
Now here is the interesting bit, by TLJ she is still at 23. Why? Because while she has become better with the Force and Melee combat, it's actually not a huge increase and her other skills simply aren't demonstrated. Interestingly those skills she didn't use like her cunning, repair skills and piloting were things that in TFA were associated with Han Solo. In TLJ Luke has essentially given up his piloting past so his skills are entirely based on Melee and Jedi powers and Rey almost directly mirrors this. Not only that but she also mirrors Luke's ability to see the Good in people and his early naivety. This is a radical change from TFA where she is shown to be cynical and street smart, directly mirroring Han Solo. Basically Rey may be a Mary Sue, but worse than that she is deliberately written to not compliment characters but actively reflect and outshine them.
The obvious conclusion then is in the next movie the plan is for Rey to be an amazing Diplomat, Military Strategist and Leader. Basically she will be designed to be a better Leia Organa. Though no doubt with insane force powers (then again perhaps the real reason for Leia's sudden increase in power was so that it would be more obvious later when Rey reflects and outshines her).

What the fans been saying for months was just white noise for that shill as long as Disney kept inviting him to premiers. Now that Soylo is proved a bomb he can't say that the fans are just a small minority and he was forced to change tack for now. Be sure that if Soylo was even mildly successful he would still be praising KK and co. When the push for EP9 starts he will be there leading the way praising JJ for TFA and how well the Ep 9 is gonna do, and how important Rose Tico will be to that story - first ever asian Jedi Master / Leader of the rebellion or some other nonsense along those lines.
That's why Episode 9 needs to fail too. The message needs to be clear.

I understand you about John, but I think we need to have grace on him. I've been saying from the beginning that I do NOT think John is a shill (That word gets thrown around a lot and I don't like people labeling me, so I shouldn't be so quick to label others). Instead, the thing with John is that he has left-leaning views (and he has a right to his views), but it has led him to have blinders on when it comes to SJW things and the Last Jedi aftermath. So, the issue is that John simply hasn't seen the things that we call problems as problems because his views has blinded him. I do think it is possible for a man to change his mind (I've done it plenty of times) and take off the blinders. In John's case, we should consider the possibility that he is starting to do just that.

I don't know if that subject was covered already but I think Disney can't fire KK because of her SJW nature. When they'll fire her she could accuse them of sexism and sexual harrasment (I'm not saying that all of such accusations are fake but she has the option to lie and find some media to legitimize her claims). A family-focused and tolerant company such as disney would take a major hit if someone of that kind of power would accuse them of such thing. I fear that she is perfectly safe. If we as a community could talk about it that would be perfect. Of course that doesn't mean i will stop my boycott.

James Brady There's been some misunderstanding. What I was trying to say is that the main target of Disney (and the source of money) are families (especially children) so any news about (even alleged) sexual harrasment,sexism and racism could end badly for them from the financial point of view.

Fair enough... Only one thing. How does she say Disney sexually harassed her. It's a monstrous conglomerate. She would have to name a person or persons for that. Provide dates and timelines as well as particulars.
As far as discrimination?... They gave her free reign to do as she saw fit. She made the decisions and it failed in a business manner.
