I wanted to say something important. On Abbey Young's channel she spoke with a chemist who basically says that copper peptide can be used with vitamin C, retinoids and acids. Those who want to listen to the chemist, he is in a recent video by Abbey young. A hug to all🌷
I’ve never used this. It’s been around in different forms forever! I remember when I was 15 years old inquiring about the night repair with the sales associate. She looked at me like I had 3 heads. I was already obsessed with skin care😂
This product used to come in a bottle with a pump! I hate dropper bottles and this is factored into whether I buy a product. I will try to find a pump instead if I do buy the product. Like you, I don’t use the same product morning and evening so I can get more actives in my routine while still keeping the number of products to just a few for each time.
I wonder why that one peptide is exclusively used by this brand. Do they have a control over the supply? Or possibly the expense for the quality aspect, other brands are able to get more variety of peptides for less. Curious. Thanks for the review!
The Ordinary is owned by Estée Lauder. I don’t use The Ordinary or have even looked into them much, but curious if they tout the line as vegan/cruelty free 🤔
Is there a big difference between between the special rescue and the night repair serum? Does this actually have more bifida or are they just trying to compete more with Korean skincare brands?
Great video as always! Spotted a moisturizer from Estee Lauder when looking for this serum. Have you ever tried Estee Lauder Nutritious Melting Soft Creme/Mask Moisturizer before? The ingredients seem solid and fragrance free!
The Benton Biofermentation Essence has some similar ingredients. It’s 3.38 oz for $24. It’s a really nice product! Would love to know what you think of it. I love the EL Night repair but ouch, the price is too damn high.
I also have too many products to use anything twice a day, but then I feel like maybe nothing is as effective as it should be since I only use it daily. I wonder if eventually you catch up to the same effectiveness but it takes longer or if you never get the max effects.
New subscriber. Love your channel. “Cruelty Free” can be a little misleading. Chances are some of the ingredients that go into a product were at some time tested on animals, so using an ingredient proven safe by animal testing other companies did doesn’t actually mean a brand is cruelty free. It can mean they used the testing results of a larger company that conducted research on animals.
This is good to know about - pricey, but might be somewhat affordable on sale. I still think of EL from when I was young, as an over-priced meh brand with products stuffed with too much fragrance & targeted at wealthy “older” ladies. Maybe not so anymore?
I recently listened to esthetician and she recommended this one and she said that it’s has very similar ingredients and benefits of the one It’s called ISNTREE TW-Real Bifida Ampoule it Softens skin texture | Tone & Wrinkle care | Rich nourishment. Can you check and and tell me your opinion.
So I've reviewed both of them. I ended up not loving the one from Isntree. I thought it felt too greasy and I wasn't a fan of a couple of the fragrance ingredients they chose to include. Typically I'm a big Isntree fan but this one from them was a miss. If you are looking for something more affordable another dupe/alternative is the Manyo Bifida Biome Ampoule - that is the one I would recommend checking out. I'll link to it here: ystyle.co/HEkU
@@NOBSBeautyThank you so much for this recommendation! This was very useful because I was considering ISNTREE TW-Real bifida ampoule as a dupe for EL night repair serum but dropped it because of some potentially irritating ingredients. I have sensitive skin so manyo is a nice alternative as long as my skin doesn’t react to the copper peptide in it.
As far as chemical reactions go I found some detailed information about “Ascorbic Acid” + Copper I think the vitamin C derivatives are maybe easier to formulate & play with Copper and other ingredients. 🤔 Pub Med Central: “Copper can break down ascorbic acid (vitamin C). When ascorbic acid comes into contact with copper, a chemical reaction can occur that causes the degradation of the vitamin C. This is why it's generally not recommended to store vitamin C-containing products, such as skincare serums or vitamin C supplements, in copper containers or with copper-based utensils, as it can reduce the effectiveness of the vitamin.” I found that interesting. I personally picked up some Night Repair on sale, but it contains fragrance, red 4, & yellow 5. 😕 No thank you. I DON’T accept cruelty to animals as a requirement for beauty products, but other countries are demanding animal testing and that is probably one reason for it still not getting the “cruelty-free” badge. ✨ Thanks for sharing & keeping it real! ✨
The night repair products are my holy grail, I would never use anything else. China doesnt require testing for most products so this is likely cruelty free ( i always thought people who wear fast fashion clothes like Shein and use cell phones are noy cruelty free,so there u go)
China requires animal testing on ALL imported products. They dont require animal testing on products made in China only. Id still never buy any skincare or cosmetics made in China. This is just a way for China to get companies to move their factories over there. Id never use ANY ELF product. Theyre only cruelty free because theyre made in China. No thanks.
@@denisenj7648China requires animal testing for any products taken by mouth, such as medicines and supplements, and for anything used on the skin, such as soaps, face and body washes, serums, lotions, etc…
Hi Sarah, Yes, a head-to-head comparison of this new serum vs. the OG Advanced Night Repair serum would be appreciated 😊

I’ve heard this, too, although the Ordinary insists that vitamin C will corrupt the copper in a copper peptide.🤷♀️
I saw that video as well.

They kinda develop it. Big brands research certain ingredients unique to them.

Thanks. I know Alice In The Rabbit Hole likes a different brand. Good to have choice.
Can someone tell me we can use both in same time? Thanks
