Back in 2012 I used to listen to this song everyday. Fast forward to 3 days ago, I came across a song from the show "Succession" that played in it's season 4 end credits. It made me remember this song. I spent 3 days trying to find it, after not being able to jog my memory I dug through what seemed like a time capsule and found my old iPod Nano. Charged it up and after listening to 170 tracks, I finally found it xD I'm Happy
That's so crazy. I was watching the episode of Family Guy that parodies Succession (S20E14) and it brought me here for the first time since circa 2013... so it's not just you lol
I literally just came across that sound from succession on a tik tok and I was like man I know where that song is from! It made me come back to this song and it’s crazy that this is the first comment I read 😂🤯
Like a decade later and this song still pushes me through. You guys don't even know how this song rings to me. Your own music never feels " ready ". But lads ..... THIS TUNE SHAKES MY SOUL!
At first it looks like there are two sides here, but there are really 3. There is the system (riot cops), the rebels or anarchist, and then there is the kid in the beginning and end. To me, the kid represents those that don't care about sides and just want to live. We get so caught up in one side or the other that we forget to live.
I think there is one more factipm. At the last quarter of the song are also the "rich" people partying around while the world is going to be teared apart by the rebels and the police. Tell I'm right or i have too much imagination :D
It's up for interpretation, but I feel like that scene is more about the brief sense of freedom rebels witness or imagine before they are beaten back down by the system. Why would the strangely dressed resistance suddenly become the rich ? The poor and the oppressed are the ones who suffer under the government the most, so having them be rich would clash with the overall message here. That , or the anarchists realize their freedom is short and inevitably the man will ruin their fun. The scene where the rebel women is touching the riot officer's helmet reminds me of this acceptance of struggle.
In reply to your original comment, I agree with your idea that there are three sides here. I just want to point out that him being a kid is also pretty significant. Kids represent the next generation, the future. With that said, I feel like both sides, the rebels and the enforcers, are trying to create their idea of "a better world for the next generation," since the next generation are the ones who will be running the world. (Note the fact that the kid is bouncing a ball that has the appearance of the world.) The enforcers want a world of order and the rebels want one of freedom. (Note that their cloths can symbolize a sort of freedom of expression, if you will. As opposed to the enforcers who lack any kind of "expression" due to the uniform and cloudy face guard.) But like you said, the kid also does symbolize the people who don't want to get caught up in either side. But that doesn't change the fact the both sides are fighting to create a world that they believe is more just for those who cannot/choose not to fight and for future generations.
Although I agree, and its hard to write this right now because of the ear fucking, I dont care about the meaning because everytime i listen to this, goosebumps man.... havent heard it since its released now, same effect
This song is just crazy! I am listening to it in the subway and whatever sound the subway does seems to perfectly be complemented by this song. It matches the rhythm perfectly! Wtf?!
to me this is one big package of art, kind of exploding all at once. 1) very impressive, dramatic, and listener-involving electronic Music from guys who know how ist done. 2) a very very good video, fitting great to the sound, with an actually extreme deep going message (3)) that reaches from politics over behaviour amongst another, to the whole attitude towards life, and at the same time (4)) it´s so artful it could be a trailer of a whole epic movie or theatre thing.. love noisia!!
This track is so perfect for me: It puts the most important things for me together Its a song full of bass and nice vocals but its also deep its under my skin i love it
Noisia are true electronic music prodigies, whether it's on the musical or technical side of things. I wouldn't consider it one of the best mixdowns of music history but definitely one of the best in electronic music. Mastering is spot on as well.

Well if it was made in a pressurized capsule/ship in space then it could be heard. And just because we couldn't here it in space doesn't mean it doesn't exist. It just have no air molecules to travel through, but bringing it to Earth would suffice. :D

this is easily the most emotional song i've heard. especially since i hate the way the world works. think about this - we are killing the very earth that gave birth to us compeleting the act of ultimate matricide, forgetting about what is right, killing ourselves in the same time. we are running out of time, if we aren't already out of time.
